The staff were amazing and the room was so nice with an incredible view that made every sunrise absolutely phenomenal.
Tad expensive for the ‘buffet breakfast’ for the small selection it had but the food was very nice

Ski in ski out location close to bars and restaurants
Friendly staff and good facilities
It’s an old hotel but it’s still stylish

Very convenient to ski resort & everything in Happo and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff were always very friendly and it really helped that some could speak English. Bar area was great & lovely area to sit upstairs & downstairs.
Although the bed was comfortable the mattress topper kept moving around & very hard to keep sheet, doona & blanket on the bed at night. 1 light outside the toilet area of room 205 wasn’t working but it wasn’t a problem for us just letting you know.

Fantastic location, homely vibe and extremely friendly staff interactions all round.
Room was probably a little small to be advertised as able to accomodate 4 people with winter luggage as well.

very close to hakuba gondola, great service. we love this place
it would be great if you have vending machine.

Great staff, great location, good room and plenty of space in the dry room for all the guests.
Nothing to complain about.

loved the staff, food and hospitality

The accommodation was great! There is a large dry room to store all your ski and snowboard gear. There is also a cute restaurant and cafe downstairs.
The staff are very wonderful and helpful. My partner had a shoulder injury and the lady at the front desk helped to organise taxis and assisted us in finding the nearest hospital. The lodge, rooms, bathrooms and showers are all very clean.
Location is also very good. It is located very close to the main happo one chair lift. There is a free shuttle bus (that does not require the valley pass) which takes you right to that chair lift (if you are coming or going to other resorts (not all resorts)).
The price is great for the value of the room. The rooms are large and come with a table which is great for when you don't want to eat out and save some money.
If we return to Hakuba, we will most definitely return to stay at ALP Lodge!
Nothing!

Very nice staff and good location
Room is not soundproofed. You can hear very clearly when other guests are opening/closing their doors or chatting in the hallway
8.0
Proximity to Happo-one
Unexpected preponderance of fellow Australians, not a problem but unexpected
8.0
Perfect location, close to Gondola.

Very close to the Hakuba Valley sky station, only a 2 minute walk. Close to rental shops and restaurants too. I took a room without bathroom but the shower room in the basement was clean and easy to use.
The hotel is actually a 15 minute walk from the main bus terminal and a bit of walk up in the ramp. If you have luggage, it might not be an easy walk. The hotel has no shuttle service so you'd better take a cab.
8.0
Quiet cosy and close to everything
Shower a long walk from top floor

Good location for Happo gondola, value for money relative to other properties in Happo-One
Tiny bathroom with a conventional unheated toilet, unexpected for Japan.

Homely and cosy. great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. excellent location close to the Gondola.

The Japanese staff were impeccably polite and friendly. The young Japanese man who greeted us, but who's name I cannot remember, was the kindest and most helpful person on our entire trip.
The two Irish staff members were miserable. Particularly the woman. She could not be bothered to care about anything. She was not friendly and seemed put out by questions.

The breakfast was simple, but good and the breakfast area had a nice atmosphere.
Bathrooms were a little dated

Alp Lodge is opposite the piste. It has a wonderful ski lodge atmosphere . The breakfast hits the spot and is un usual for this area. The bar is an added bonus and brings everyone together and makes new ski buddies for the next day if you need someone to ski with . It’s relaxed and has a feeling of “ Faulty Towers” in the best way . I loved having my own personal bathroom .
Reception opens at 3 pm so no early check in

Location was pretty good, checking in was fairly high tech. rooms are well heated
would appreciate if staff would have informed us abt the typical bus services around the area, there are free bus services to Happo One terminal and other resorts
breakfast gets a bit repetitive and its fairly cold around that area.

Great lodge if on a budget

One of the most comfy beds and duvets I experienced in Japan. Charming property and lounge/breakfast area. Near happo one gondolas (slightly above them) and you can ski directly to the hotel. Close to ski rentals, bars and restaurants. Lovely helpful staff. Water in rooms was great. It was warm with the heaters.
No safe luggage storage area at the hotel. Very limited breakfast options especially for a ski lodge where people need fuel to ski. Drafty windows so you need to warm up with heaters before sleep or keep the heater on and use earplugs. Poor sound isolation between rooms. Need to check your email to make the check-in easier.

The owner has a very interesting selection of wine on offer. Miles, his partner and other staff are so friendly and attentive for all of my needs
the dry room turns off during the day..... some of us would come home for a quick rest and start skiing again after lunch giving that we can ski to the lodge.

I stayed here for two weeks and I would go back here again and again.
The beds are comfortable, the location is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. I wish I could give it more stars.
Its a 2 minute walk to Gondola Adam, maximum 15 minute walk to so many good restaurants.
More importantly, the staff were excellent. They went above and beyond to help me with everything from how to get around, where to eat, as well as providing great assistance with luggage transfers etc.
Breakfast was great value too and always delicious.
Thanks so much ALP Lodge! You made my holiday very special.
See you next year!
There was nothing that I didn't like. The place exceeded my expectations :)

Location was excellent, breakfast was great and staff are really kind and helpful.
The complicated check-in system for getting a key and a code for your key box. All seemed a bit over-complicated.

Really liked the breakfast. The eggs, coffee and selection of fruits was much appreciated before a big day on the slopes! The location was perfect.
The room was quite small, however, this was clearly described and expected at the time of booking.

The location was perfect. 50m to Adam Gondola and shuttle bus stops. Large drying room for ski gear. The bar was really nice
Rooms are outdated in comparison to the bar area. Really basic facilities.
9.2
Location. Ski in!
