very noisy road outside the window which had to be open at night as was hot

Beautiful old building well looked after. All staff were wonderful; friendly and helpful. We were well looked after, even the dog. It is the best dog friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. A cute little bed and bowl with a dog biscuit greeted our dog in the room, and a lovely lady offered her her own sausage at breakfast.
Our room was right by the stairs which were a bit creaky and so disturbed our dog when anybody went by. That says more about our dog than the hotel but something to bear in mind if you have a reactive dog. It was quite warm in the room so we had the window open and were disturbed by the noisy seagulls and the tolls of the nearby church clock all night. Again, nothing against the hotel.

Friendly, efficient staff
Lovely breakfast
Historic building with fascinating artifacts
Noise from street, stayed on bin day, which started early, but nature of listed building means no protection from double glazing, worth it to stay in such a wonderful building
4.4
A comfortable room, a variety of food available in the dining room and bar, the staff were helpful and attentive which enhanced the visit. Parking available behind the building and across the road. An interesting hotel with plenty of history detailed in booklets around the building.

Reception made us welcome on arrival and room was comfortable with a lovely ambiance of music playing in room on entering. We were equally impressed by the welcome awaiting our two pugs😁

Prime location for driving and train travel to the many tourist areas around about. Our room 108 was lovely with a large oriel window with seating overlooking the high street so a room with a view Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choice
There was nothing to dislike
4.4
Lovely location, great character, easy check in, comfortable and clean rooms, breakfast was delicious, fantastic choice of food.
All staff were great except for the girl on the breakfast, who just didn't seem to care, was inattentive and made me feel awkward. I had to constantly ask for everything (bowls, glasses, butter for the toast) had the menu shoved on the table, she left all the surrounding tables cluttered with empty breakfast plates. In the end, her manager took over and was brilliant.

Free upgrade on check in. Nice room on first floor with comfortable bed. had a nice evening meal in the restaurant and the full welsh breakfast was excellence with plenty of tea and toast. Excellent location in centre of town.
Limited space in bar to just sit and have a drink.
4.4
The evening meal was lovely and some of the staff were very friendly.
I was a little disappointed that I had mentioned we were coming for my boyfriends birthday and not one staff member wished him a happy birthday.
I have brought friends and family in the past for special occasions and they have always been acknowledged in the past.
Also I had paid for an evening meal for us and only noticed the following morning that there was a 20% discount on the reception counter for food in January. I think it would have been excellent customer services if someone had pointed this out to me.
Then unfortunately at breakfast our coffee was cold and the waitress ordered the wrong breakfast for us.
We still had a nice stay, but overall I was a little disappointed with the above.

Clean, everything you could want/need in the room. Central in town.
Booked a table for 7:15 and it was very busy. My husband had to go & find someone at 7:45 to ask if we could order a drink at least and hopefully some food.
The table opposite us were also waiting for drinks & their pudding. Their orders were taken & told because of the delay their puddings were on the house.
Our drinks arrived & food 15 mins later & the food was excellent. We weren’t offered anything that night and told the receptionist of the issue when we checked out who said he would pass it on. Needless to say unlikely to return.

Location , Staff and the rooms were the highlights of this hotel. The setting and location were unique. Lots of history and great sights
We liked it all. Our stay was not long enough

I would highly recommend a stay at this delightful coaching inn, the staff were all friendly and helpful, food was very good. The property was filled with interesting artefacts particularly liked the shoe shine machine on the second floor, and the booklets informing the guests of the history of the inn.

Lovely room
pleasant staff
helpful staff
nice bathroom
handle broken on bathroom door, i got locked in as it came out in my hand, also only 1 loo roll
first night there was noise from the room above-was advised to ring 0 for night porter if it happened again-we didn't have a phone in our room however
breakfast on first morning was chaotic
put in an room away from breakfast room , overspill i asume, with a few others, no problem with that but we waited 15 m and noone came to us for our order so we went and found someone, the cooked breakfast came after another 15 m and half of it was cold and half hot.
they didn't have brown sauce as they'd forgotten to order it .
they couldn't find decafe teabags and said i couldn't have decafe tea, i said i'd asked on the booking form so she dashed off again and came back with a decafe tea bag
my husband receieved a pot of tea with no milk so had to ask again, my tea eventually came
The overall impression wasn't good, felt thrown together/short staffed/new staff ?

Conwy and the surrounding area is lovely, and the hotel location is excellent, central to all amenities. Complimentary parking is available at the hotel. Our room was ready earlier than expected, and there is a late checkout of 11.00am, which is better than some other hotels.
The hotel is lovely but a bit dated in terms of some facilities and in need of a little bit of love and attention in areas. For the prices charged, it should be better in my opinion when comparing it to other hotels of similar standing in North Wales.

Lovely room and comfortable bed
Bathtub and drawer of the dresser could have been cleaner
4.4
Very comfortable and stylish room with everything you could need. Breakfast was delicious (perfect poached eggs). You couldn't be more central so a great place to explore Conwy from.
The only thing I didn't like was the flag on the external wall outside my room. It was windy both nights and it was bashing around and hitting the window so it felt like I was camping in a storm and I found it hard to get to sleep. I assume this isn't often a problem though?!

I must say that this is one of the best hotels in which I have ever stayed and felt comfortable. We received a wonderful room on the first floor, with a direct view to the Castle of Conwy. The camera was quite large, spacious, with a comfortable double bed, decorated quite chic, in English style. The old radio modified into a very digital modern tool has been quite an asset. We loved the furniture, the lights and the bath that was extremely clean and fully uploaded with many cosmetics provided by partners of the Castle Hotel. The breakfast is amazing, you can select multiple options from a particular list, and we must say that the Full Welsh Breakfast and the selection of Eggs were on top of our preferences. Good coffee for two committed people with cofeine, but mostly a very pretty salon, with a fireplace, where during evenings we used to dine and have a drink. Good selection of beers, tasty fish and chips! The hotel is dog friendly, so we had many fluffy little ones to play with from neighbors. The hotel has some nice pubs and restaurants around and is situated in the heart of Conwy. We went right after Christmas and the decorations were lovely. To put all briefly, is a very pretty hotel, with good taste, great food, lovely view and an accurate English spirit.
Conwy is very intimate, historical, kind, even during winters, and the staff of the hotel is very implicated, receptive, and professional. So, if you go in North Wales add Conwy Castle Hotel on your list!
Nothing bad to say. The only thing that you should take care of is that you have to book a table for breakfast at the reception and to announce at what time you would like to eat in the morning, in order to avoid overlapping. But this is not something bad, it is a sign a very good organizing.

Beautiful use of a historic building. great location, felt like home.
temperature control difficult. room in bathroom a bit small but there was a large bath inside

central to Conway, nice charm beautiful building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The massage with Linet was also a really treat!!
The street was noisy at 7am each morning
