Staff was friendly. The lobby had manga. The onsen was fabulous.
Location is a bit far from the lake and supermarket, but still good. There was a convenience store in the area.

Located in the Petit Pension Village, very clean and quiet. The host is very cute, hospitable and enjoys hosting, treating every customer with heart, therefore customers enjoy their stay. The host also speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Low public transport connectivity. The last bus from Kawaguchiko Station departs at 17:45 and only arrives at Oishi Park, which is still far from the property. Taxi would be very expensive and hard to take.

The owner was incredibly welcoming!
All of the facilities at the hotel were excellent.
I would definitely stay again when I'm in the area!

The owner of this hotel is the nicest person we met during our trip in Japan! He has been very helpful. The onsen is a great place, that we enjoyed a lot after a hiking day.

The owner was nice and very helpful with calling taxis and researching the bus schedule.
Really far from everything. Unless you schedule taxis ahead of time or drive, you can only take the bus to get to this place. You also have to leave the key with the owner when you leave. I can understand why this is required, but something about the vibes made me feel uncomfortable with giving access to my room and luggage to the two men who manage the place while I'm gone all day. Call me paranoid, but...

The owner is very hospitality. He even speak a bit of Malay other than mandarin that surprise us which come from Malaysia/Singapore.
Not at all.

Very nicely kept inn, and the onsen is simple but fantastic. You can’t beat the scenic view you get.
The location is pretty hard to access without a rental car or pre scheduled taxi pickups. Not a breaking point by any means, just be aware if you want to go back into town.

Clean and comfortable. Nice onsen on-site. Maybe you will need a car to stay there as a bit away from station.
all seemed fine.

The friendly staff.
Can only take bath at the specific time.

We were very pleased to have that lovely outdoor bath, and privately, to ourselves. That was just perfect. Also, the bicycles (free for us to use!) came in handy, AND we also appreciated having breakfast included. Our host was kind and did his utmost to see that we were comfortable and taken care of. It was peaceful and good value.
We had not realized that the city tax was not included in the final price, so it was slightly higher than we expected. Apparently that is the case with some Booking.com places, but we had not experienced that before, so it came as a surprise to us. Breakfast was decent, and the hot milk nice, but for those who like coffee or tea, they may wish to bring their own, as that was not provided or available. Also, the common area closed a bit early for our tastes both in evening and in the morning. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable.

Guy is super friendly and helpful!

The owner is absolutely lovely. The house itself looks really nice, with plants, outside table etc. There are two cute hot baths, inside and outside, perfect after a long sporty day! You can use bikes for free.
The inside is not that exciting, some furniture looks a bit old, the rooms lack charm. The breakfast was not enough in our opinion (small portions and no coffee/tea).

Owners friendly and helpful. Surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful.
Was a bit expensive for what it was. Have to be inside by 10pm is a bit early. The superior double room should have a double bed instead of two uncomfortable singles. Bed is really soft and lumpy. Its not bad but I have stayed in other places in the area much closer to the lake that were cheaper and nicer inside.
