Lovely weekend spent with family. House was very spacious with wonderful outside space. Swimming pool (10 min drive) was lovely too

Overall the property was perfect for our family stay.
We hosted a small event for our son’s naming ceremony, we had planned to do this in the large garden but the British weather had other ideas!
The property was large enough to host our guests in the house.

The house was beautiful. It was massive and there were plenty of rooms. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates and glasses. Distance from Oxford town was great. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

Lovely property, clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped. Comfy beds.
Just one or two minor issues:
Nothing to wash up with - we had to go and buy washing up brush and scourers.
Also the electric hob controls are very difficult to use as the numbers on each dial have worn away. Any that are still visible are impossible to see duecto poor lighting.

We had a fantastic stay at Manor Farm - the kids loved the maze of rooms, games room & too many games of football to count! The set up of the living rooms were great, comfy beds & well equipped. Great walks from the door & handy having the pub & tea room - think we’ll be back!

We stayed for our friend’s hen do, 17 women in total, and the house was perfect - bedrooms were well set up and the downstairs space is so extensive with access to the outside. A really easy location to get into the city centre with lots to do locally (we had a great carvery at The Boat Inn and kayaked on the canal as well). Parking was ample and the team were really responsive to all and any questions prior to our check in.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had the best stay at the house. The rooms are stunning and the space was perfect for our group allowing for people to split off into smaller groups at times as well as have all 16 of us comfortably in one room. We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our event!

We had an absolutely brilliant time staying at Manor House for a friend's hen weekend. The house is gorgeous and had everything we needed, including a space big enough for the 15 of us to sit together. The bedrooms were really comfortable and the property manager was responsive and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The property was perfect - the theme was a murder mystery event, and the numerous rooms and character of the building contributed to the ambience. Good walks locally, a couple of good pubs within walking distance, and a Nepalese restaurant in the locality that provided a superb banquet.

We are a group of friends from university who came to stay for our annual meet up. The house was everything we could have wanted with multiple communal areas, a large dining room and a well stocked kitchen. The beds were so comfortable and the garden was lovely as was the location.

This is the first time that we have been away with all of the family before . All 13 of us - ranging from 18 to late 80’s. The accommodation could not have been better, split over three floors, to allow everybody space to move around and have some privacy when needed. The rooms are well equipped as well as the ground floor space. We booked caterers for dinner one evening which worked so well for us all. The kitchen is well equipped providing enough space to store everything for our large party. Would recommend this property 100%., as well as kayaking on the Canal outside the property. So much to enjoy close by.

We hired this house for a hen do and it was ideal; the space was perfect and nice and big with a good bathroom and bedroom set-up. The photos don't do the size justice! The kitchen was well equipped and we didn't need to leave the house all weekend. The property manager on site was really helpful! Would definitely reccommend this house.

We have been holidaying as an extended family (grandparents, four families and now 8 grand children) for over 15 years - but had to pause during Covid. This was our first break back together and it was a huge success. The 'children' - now aged 8 to 20 took over the top floor whilst the adults were on the lower floor - including the grandparents in their 80s. What we liked about this property was the living spaces which meant we could all sit together in both the sitting room and the dinning room but there was also space for break away quieter groups in the kitchens and second sitting room. We bought lasagnas for the first night, takeaway for the second and cooked a roast on the third - although this was a bit of a challenge with the aga so took a bit of shuffling but still worked. The location - with walks by the canal and local pub was perfect as we brought two dogs. We also loved being able to get into Oxford easily for trips to the market, sight seeing and museum. Some of us used to live and study in the area so it was great visiting old haunts. We are planning to re-book this property again is we can!

Fantastic for family gatherings
We were a party of 14 ranging from 20 months to 68 years all gathering for a family wedding. The property and grounds are fantastic. Plenty of bathrooms, bedrooms and with the added bonus of travel cot and highchair available. The dining room is impressive and it had a table we could all get round. Just had the best weekend! Only criticism (and it's both minor and hopefully constructive) it needs better mirror facilities for all rooms. Trying to sort your face and hair out using little tiny round mirrors is not ideal! Hardly a deal breaker though as we did all manage

The property was fabulous and suited our needs perfectly. We did find however that 2 of the double beds in the attic rooms were very uncomfortable.
The only cooker available was an Aga with an electric option to the side. However, we were unable to get one of the electric ovens to work. Cooking for 20 people was a little bit of a challenge. Perhaps the addition of a coventional oven in the pantry area could be considered. I also found the freezer space limited and would suggest perhaps a chest freezer in the pantry as well. Whilst we managed for a 2 night stay, I think we would have struggled if we had stayed longer.
We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and as a result spent much of the time in the garden and felt that more outside furniture was required, along with a parasol and perhaps a fire pit as we would have spent longer out there but it did get a bit chilly later on in the evening.
That said we had a fabulous weekend, plenty of space for us all and the location was lovely.

We celebrated my partners and mine 50th birthdays with family here for the weekend and really could not have asked for a better property - plenty of space for us all to come together, but also for the younger ones to play in the games room. We also ventured out to the pool but it was a little cold for us to stay very long. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was extremely well equipped, the garden was spacious and the location on the canal provided lovely walks. A truly wonderful weekend was had by all!

Beautiful, peaceful canal side location
The property is huge, plenty of space for our group of 13, including a lovely garden with a separate private closed in area.. The Size of the dining area was particularly appreciated for large groups and game playing. The location is perfect, two very good pubs very close by, the local cafe is super especially for breakfast sandwiches and cake, and some pretty country / canal side walks. A couple of minor glitches with hot water on one floor but overall everything is in great condition and very comfortable.

Birthday party
The Manor House had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We had a sit down meal for 10 people in the dining room one night and a barbecue the next. The largest reception was perfect for music and dancing after dinner. Great getaway in a beautiful house with friends.

Great house, perfect for a group
We had a lovely weekend in the house - we were a group of old university friends who had left spouses and children at home for a reunion. It was really helpful that so many rooms could have single beds and the house was perfect for our needs. Great sitting room with the 3 sided sofa and log burner and it was fantastic that we could all easily fit around the dining table. Lovely frosty walk by the canal and a nice pub lunch and we were very happy!

Great house for big group with lovely local pub
We had a great time in the manor house, it's so big and spacious, ideal for a big group. Very important thing was that there was a dining room that could seat us all as many listings don't have this. Would recommend the property. Location was great, easy to get to and close to nice countryside and a local pub just 5 mins walk. Thanks for having us!
