Lovely house in a lovely location. We had 10 family members staying for the weekend.

We had a wonderful weekend at The Coach House for a Hen Do. The house was spacious for our 10guests and the outside space was beautiful. There was plenty of parking and the house was well equiped, we could just have done with an extra bin bag or two! The information pack was detailed and very helpful.
Thank you for a lovely stay.

A regrettably short few days stay at the Coach House in Kidlington.
We were a group of 5 adults, a teenager and 3 boys ranging 9 - 12. The property was easy to locate and the check in process seamless.
The property is full of character and ideal for a large group and overall we had a very comfortable and relaxing few days. Thank you.
The only reservations collectively were:
1) perhaps the mattresses could look to be upgraded? There wasn’t a precious guest amongst us but more than usual did not find the beds as comfortably as perhaps hoped
2) appreciate this may affect listing/income, but perhaps some thought into converting the downstairs double into a snug with a tele to give additional options for adults/kids
Thanks again. The property would come highly recommended!

We absolutely loved staying here. The property was perfect for our activities and was close to some beautiful places like Blenheim Palace as well. Very clean, comfortable furniture, and warm in winter months. Will certainly come back!

Amazing location right by the canal in a quite hamlet with walks, kayaking hire, pub and cafe within walking distance. Property particularly spacious and well appointed upstairs, with large double bedrooms and smaller twin room; another twin room downstairs. Downstairs - very spacious and comfortable sitting room. Kitchen small for the size of property. Small table in kitchen with dining room separate to kitchen ie not open plan. Able to sit outside in garden at back with plenty of room and we sat on the large front steps. Would stay there again.

We had a fabulous weekend here. Great location by the canal with a lovely cafe with outdoor seating and pubs within an easy walk. The Coach house was clean, comfortable and well equipped with gorgeous views out onto the open fields. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful property in such a picture perfect spot. Pubs and walks nearby. The property was spotless and well equipped although perhaps a few more mirrors and a hairdryer would have helped. Beds were very comfortable, good shower pressure, very well equipped kitchen.
We were a group of 8 on a hen weekend, had the best time, enjoyed the pool which was a few miles away but worth the drive, the coach house even provided ’pool glasses!’
We arranged a taxi to go into centre of oxford which was a 20 minute drive away.
When I had a query, it was responded to and resolved immediately.
Our only regret was that we only booked 2 nights. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back.

Booked for a weekend with a group of very close friends. The property was the perfect space, super clean and just ideal for 12-14 people getting a weekend break. Lovely rooms, furnishings and plenty of information provided by the responsive letting team. Even some cute biscuits on arrival. The only small issues were - the flying ants in the downstairs corridor as someone left the window to the downs stairs loo open. Also getting taxis was a bit of a nightmare so I would bring a car. Overall the team was really responsive and check in and out really easy. will 100% book again ❤️

Great house for group of friends to stay in and relax

We had a fantastic stay at the Coach House. The house easily accommodated our party of 12 adults and ir was even more beautiful than the listing showed.
The garden was a real gem and the location, right on the canal and river was just lovely. The conveniently located tea room just over the road was an added bonus.
The house was beautifully presented and had everything we could need. There were lovely touches as well to make us feel welcome.
The property owners were incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions throughout the booking process and during our stay. I would thoroughly recommend and hope to stay here again soon.

A group of 12 friends stayed for a chilled hen-do. The house was perfect and very well equipped for all meals, cooking, towels and linen etc! Very comfortable and great outdoor garden too. Communication and checkin/out was very easy. Wi-Fi is not the best but not the end of the world if you’re away for a stay. We found a couple of ants in the dining room but didn’t cause any major issues at all and the property was very clean generally. We loved our stay so perfect thank you :)

Everything was perfect in the house and its surroundings. We had some problems getting into the house on arrival though, but we got invaluable help from locals living nearby. For that we are very grateful! We enjoyed our stay very much and can warmly recommend it!

The pictures don’t do this lovely holiday stay justice. We were so pleased with the house it was spacious and very clean the kitchen was also a pleasant surprise how big it was as it didn’t look very big in the pictures and we were concerned as we had a chef coming in for an evening. The house was well equipped throughout and the privacy was also lovely.
The surroundings were also beautiful with country walks - we unfortunately didn’t have great weather so couldn’t use to the full potential (it was March)
My only warning is the phone signal is not great so if you need to keep in contact with anyone you need to join on the WiFi - we actually enjoyed this and was quite nice to not be contactable 100% of the time!
Overall great stay and we would all rebook (a group of 12 adults)

Had a really lovely stay here. Everything very straightforward and house in great condition. Highly recommended.

The venue was booked as a surprise gathering of the family for my wife’s birthday. The layout was perfect for all the family and the dining room and living room were ideal. All beds were very comfortable with lovely clean linen. It was a perfect location with wonderful walks along the canal. Generally, everything was spot on but the cooker was a little limiting and a separate grill would be very beneficial with 12 people staying. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the farmhouse and would thoroughly recommend it for large family gatherings. In the summer the garden would be perfect.

Really great property and with 10 of us staying, it felt very spacious. Fabulous wood burner. There's a lovely walk along the canal which starts right outside the house. Will probably stay again!

There should have been 11 in our party (ages 9 - 81) to celebrate four big birthdays (as it happens two were sick and couldn't come).
The property had loads of space for everyone - the large reception room had comfortable seating for 9 plus a table and chairs so we could all be together when desired. Lovely wood-burning stove was left set up for us and was so nice when the weather was so cold outside. We were there on the second weekend of December and there was a nice christmas tree awaiting us in this room - as well as a welcome box of chocolates.
The dining room is lovely with a tall ceiling and flagstone floor and larger than it looks on the photographs - it seats 10 fairly comfortably (we didn't actually have a sit down meal) - you'd need to improvise to add more as the table is quite long and narrow. The outdoor space is lovely although we didn't sit out as we were there on a freezing weekend. The coach house is on a charming courtyard and there are lovely country view outside the windows all along the rear side. Parking is in the farm yard next door but there is a gate very close to the front of the property so you don't have to walk far, and as specified you can unload/load at the front if you need.
There are a few warm floor spots that appear to either be over pipes (or have underfloor heating) in the down stairs shower-room and a corner of the kitchen which were lovely places to stand on after unbooting in the spacious entrance hall. Kitchen was really well stocked with loads of glasses and mugs etc. There are two fridges and had we been planning on more cooking there was everything you would need.
Overall we had a really nice time here - space to get away from each other when necessary and be together when we wanted. Everyopne wanted to stay longer and we'll be looking to see when we can return. Thank you!

What a find!
We had a wonderful three days at the Coach House. The location was idyllic and so peaceful. The barn was a great size for the nine of us and it was well stocked (especially the kitchen) and very clean. The garden was so big and great for our five year old nephew to play in. Overall the property was a great find... we'd love to go back!

Beautiful home with lots of space
We booked the place for a hen party. The house was clean and well presented. All rooms were large and there was enough space for everyone to sit down. Kitchen was very well equipped. Communication before staying was brilliant. Close to lovely walks and a pub. Only downside was not knowing about the deposit that was needed and then the communication about getting it back. I had to send two emails and follow up with a phone call which was a shame. Would still recommend staying here though as it was beautiful.

Nice winter weekend away
We made a last minute booking and the whole process was really smooth which was great. The house was warm and clean and the nearby canal is lovely.

Great group experience
Spacious, clean and well-located for amenities and a lovely circular walk.

A Great Weekend
This was ideal for our gang of seven for two nights. The rooms were clean and of good size, the kitchen well equipped and plenty of storage in the freezer and fridges. Quiet location with lovely walks on our doorstep. The underfloor heating was more than adequate, and we had to open windows even in winter. An attentive and charming service manager completed an excellent experience all round.

Excellent Christmas Break
Our family rented the Coach House and Dove Cote for our Christmas break this year. The properties were fabulous, very clean and well equipped. The area was fantastic and we had lovely family and dog walks.
We would highly recommend both properties and look forward to staying there again.

Better than advertised
We loved our stay. It was spotless, larger than the pics show and really comfortable.
It's in a great spot, right on the canal and has a lovely pub at the bottom of the road. I'd come and stay again any time.
Cafe opposite also does takeaway breakfasts

Kidlington
Had a wonderful few days and loved the property. Clean and lots of space for everyone.
Only downside was waking up on the first morning to find someone killing moles in the garden which was a bit upsetting.

Canal setting
The property was in a great location. Plenty of walks nearby whether across fields along the canal or through the woods. Ideal for travelling further into the cotswolds

Comfortable house well suited for large group
A very pleasant venue for a fortieth anniversary reunion of old college friends. A comfortable and well furnished house in a pretty hamlet just north of Kidlington.

Long awaited family trip
I cannot thank Katie enough for being so accommodating with our booking and fitting us in when we needed to reschedule our trip.
The house is lovely and in a great location for some lovely walks down the canal and near some local pubs.

Fantastic family break
Loved this property, the perfect distance from London, nice spacious house with gorgeous views. The renting process was super easy and was simple to find. We got a Sainsbury’s delivery without any drama. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful village property along working canal
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the coach house. The property was very clean, presentable and there was a welcome chocolate cake from the local farm shop waiting for us on arrival. The village of Thrupp is so lovely, situated along a canal with two pubs, a tea room and a kayak and canoeing centre all walking distance from the property. Overall a wonderful find and I will be recommending to friends and family.

Had a lovely stay for my birthday with friends. Only a few issues which were fixed quickly.
It was a great property! Perfect size for 12 people apart from the dining table which only seats 10.

Great location for a relaxed break
The perfect spot for re-entry after virus isolation. Relaxed, calm, plenty to see and do outdoors. Property is large but not especially well laid out. Tired interior. Needs a thorough clean and an interiors over-haul.

Hidden gem
House has everything you need for a group getaway including a perfect location. We will definitely be returning.

Fabulous oasis!
A family gathering to celebrate a birthday turned in to an oasis away from the Coronavirus. It is a beautiful house with cosy rooms and enough space for all in each room. Thrupp is a gorgeous place and having the canal nearby is so peaceful. Will definitely come back
