Location
Welcome email suggesting we bring extra blankets and gas stove sent at 10.30pm evening before arrival so was not seen until we had set off.
Broken shower/shower head which meant no hot water/shower for the duration of our stay
Poor lighting
No means of lighting the fire on arrival and smoke filled tent when able to do so.
Reviews suggest gas stove has been provided in the past, pictures show blankets provided on the beds, we had to purchase to keep warm.
We raised the issues with the owners, which resulted in two flasks of hot water provided which were cold by next morning.

The tent was amazing, location is very good, away from everyone so you have your own private time there. No noises very peaceful and quiet! We loved our stay just sadly weather was not the best.
Only one that after rain territory outside getting very muddy, and is difficult to keep clean tent. But under that nothing else. Everything is perfect!

Beautiful tent, clean and comfortable. Gorgeous secluded site. Excellent facilities. Loved all the fairy lights. We were really cosy and wished we could stay longer

We were so private and secluded, we were able to have our dog off lead and exploring the site without worry. He loved the stream especially!
We made use of the fire pit to cook our food and the beds were lovely and comfortable. Warm enough with the log fire also.

Beautiful tent, stunning views. Private and fenced off area with a Stream next door. So quiet and peaceful. Near to main tourist attractions. Facilities were better than we expected. Stove to keep the tent warm (first lot of logs were provided) Cutlery and some items for cooking, including a camping gas stove. Super comfy beds. Great having your own compost toilet and shower. BBQ fire pit outside. All lit up with beautiful fairy lights at night. Secluded and felt very safe. Peaceful and relaxing break. Owners very helpful and friendly. Such good value for money! Thank you 😊
Absolutely nothing, it’s a beautiful glamping tent with great facilities.

This property was a lovely secluded little haven! It was spotlessly clean with everything you need catered for. The log fire made the stay very enjoyable. Thank you to some very lovely hosts!

What an amazing stay we had! The location was beautiful, a lovely view of the surrounding animals and countryside. The beds were very comfy and the log fire made it extra cosy. My 2 year old had a blast running round and I didn't need to worry and we had our own large private space that fenced off. Ceris was so friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home for the night. My partner and I can't wait to come back!

It was way beyond our expectations - absolutely beautiful set up! Glamping at its finest and one of the best weekends we have had for a long time. Our family consists on one adult and four children from 16 years down to four years old, all of us had such a great time! beautiful little personal touches included, a warm welcome from the host and then the most peaceful location you can imagine!! Having the option to have a fire outside and go back to basics with minimal phone signal (yay!!) and cooking outside was so much fun! 5* experience for us :) Thank you so much - we are booking again for later in the year!!
Nothing bad at all - easiest camping experience of my life!

Loved Abercefel Retreat. It provided a much needed break from busy lives and jobs. The tent and the facilities are very thought out to cater for families. The gas shower and a log burner in the tent are nice additions. You can spend evening watching the cows and sheep on the field next door while eating smores from a fire pit. There are a few nice beaches nearby
Nothing. Everything was perfect

Tent was really beautiful I was taken back at how pretty it was! Beds were super comfy and the wood burning stove really warmed us up quickly. Hosts were very kind and welcoming. We will be back x
I don't really feel there was anything I could complain about, kettle takes ages to boil but that's because it's heating on the stove which is expected when camping.

TheI really liked the remoteness
I feel somewhere to hang towels etc when in shower would go a long way and a fire guard would help so much
We had a puppy and i couldn't settle with there being no fire guard around the fire

This was our 2nd trip to the retreat. Ceris is such a lovely host and ensured we were well looked after. She went over and above and spoit us with welcome goodies and an anniversary card. She also managed to secure us booking for horse riding for my girls which i wasnt able to as it was last minute. There was an addition of the bbq pizza oven and gas heated shower from when we visited last time and it was wonderful. As always, we had a gala time and the place has all u need for a break from the hussle of a busy city life. Already looking to book the next one. Thanks

Everything was perfect! Very clean, well presented and very comfortable. The enclosed area was ideal for our toddler and the stream was perfect for keeping our eldest entertained and our drinks cool. The only thing I would recommend is maybe bringing some cups for hot drinks as there were only some disposable plastic cups. Cerys was amazing and really went above and beyond for us organising the birthday cake and decorations for my partners birthday the day we arrived. It was a perfect way to escape our crazy home life for a few days. we will definitely be returning soon!!! Thank you so so much

Amazing stay - super comfy beds. Perfect location to escape and relax with beautiful scenery. Ceris was incredibly helpful and welcoming - even helped us with the fire late at night, and always a text or phonecall away. Cosy and homely details made the stay so special. Loved the sheep & lambs!

Loved that we were in the middle of nowhere so to speak. Being in a secured area was great for kids and the dog and the tent itself was lovely. Beds were comfy, scenery was lovely, lots of nice little touches with lights and bunting. Loved it!
The only thing we could fault was the logs for the fire were too big - seeing as we had cold nights we needed them but we managed and sourced some others, and it's not a reflection on the place or owners

Everything was spotless clean, very comfortable stay with all needed facilities. The host was extremely helpful with anything we needed, even recommended us best places around to eat. Overall very welcoming and nice cosy stay.

Set in a beautiful location, Tent was fantastic, lots of room, beds comfy, kids enjoyed the campfire. Solar lights at night were magical and we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather and a clear night to see the stars!
Family were kind and friendly, greeted on arrival and offered a bottle of wine. We didn't choose to eat out so cooked everything on the fire. Popped down to the village store to top up on firewood which was cheap, shop had everything you could need if you didn't want to bring food on your journey.
We loved our stay, could've stayed longer, a real break spending time without our phones and computers, having quality time together. We would come and stay again xx
nothing, everything was perfect. Loved our stay.

The bell tent was beautifully decorated and clean.
We loved that it was alone and fully secure as our lab is a bit of a pain around other dogs so was really nice to be able to let him off the lead and not have to worry that he was bothering others.
The fire pit was really nice, especially at night for toasting marshmallows 😋👍🏼
Beds were comfy. Toilet roll, towels, hand sanitisers and a few items of cutlery were provided (plates, pans, knifes/forks etc).
The surrounding fields were beautiful and we loved waking up to the lovely views, we had a nice walk up the hill to the right of the gate and the views from the top were perfect.
It was in a remote location but the lovely host Ceris showed us the way in her car and we followed behind.
We had no phone signal at all and no access to wifi which is great if you just want to switch off but was a concern if there was to be an emergency.
The shower was freeeezinggg haha but Ceris informed us that they hope to fit a heated shower soon.
I would definitely stay here again ☺️

We absolutely loved being outside in nature, the kids found the glamping tent extremely exciting.
The host was really friendly, very helpful with giving advice on what to do around the area, we found a beautiful little beach which we absolutely loved.
We will be returning next year 😊
not necessarily a dislike but we just couldn’t work out the solar shower 😅 my partner however fully enjoyed the cold morning shower. Apparently a electric shower is to be installed next year 😊

The host cerys was lovely and walked across the field to give me a card and birthday cake as it was my birthday on our last day. So lovely! The bed were really comfortable and everywhere spotless. The site was beautiful with stunning views of the countryside.... I didn't want to leave. Really switched off and relaxed.
The only improvements needed would be the shower... It was pretty cold and could do with better drainage but we all found it fun and refreshing!

How quiet it was, the shower was amazing!! The bbq, we loved it all 😁
Having to light the log burner on a hot day for my morning coffee

Fantastic host. Very accommodating and nothing seem to be a problem for her. It was my lil ones 10th bday and she also threw in some complimentary goodies and a bottle of wine which was a really nice gesture. Although its in the middle of nowhere we managed to get wifi was a bonus as we were not expecting that plus personal wc and shower facility ticked another box for us. The outside BBQ space and the amount of wood left for us at no additional charge was brilliant and lasted us throughout our stay. We are a young family with 3 kids and first time glampers and the whole experience has made us asking for more of the same. Booked again already 😀
Nothing to not like as nothing to compare with as it was our first time glamping. If i was to be extremely critical then i would say sofabed didnt work for me or maybe i didnt open it correctly. Although the shower was solar powered i couldnt seem to get it to dispense any warm water and again not sure if it was suppose to.

The whole experience was absolutely wonderful and we had a lovely time enjoying the countryside. We absolutely loved the views, the host was wonderful and the general features of the place were fantastic.
Had some brilliant tips from our lovely host, who spoiled us rotten- genuinely so attentive and kind.
Even if the weather was not on our side, we still had the best time and would absolutely recommend the yurt to anyone. Will definitely be back!!!!
Couldn't really fault much as the place was so beautiful. Maybe more of a screen around the shower (just for a bit more privacy from the road) and potentially provide cutlery, utensils and plates for BBQing. Other than that - absolutely fabulous!

Absolutely stunning place 🥰
We met up with my husband's estranged daughter here and the location could not of been more perfect.
Would be ideal for honeymoons, anniversary or special occasions.
The owner kept in contact beforehand and was so helpful even allowing our daughter arrive a night early and stopping in their campervan at no extra charge!
The place was breathtaking from the moment we approached it and easy to find.
Secluded in its own private Field next to a river that was perfect to help you drift off to sleep.
There was plenty of space for a family and 2 dogs.
The bell tent was immaculate and perfectly decorated.
My only bad thing was we didn't book to stay longer 😃

Quiet location with great views. Good local pubs and close to Llandysul facilities. Some scenic walks all around. The neighbours - sheep & cows - are very welcoming and entertaining. The owner was very polite and helpful. We were impressed with the complimentary JP Cheney! The fireplace kept us snug when the temperature dropped at night. Outisde bbq cooked a great meal. Car parking onsite was very handy. Mobile network is a hit or miss so expect to network here until you go for walk up the hill. The stream of running water kept our drinks chilled (June), no need for ice! Very clean site and all to ourselves. The open shower was an experience in the cold mornings, brrrrrh. We would love to come back some time soon.
Wasn't much to dislike. The private area around the tent is a little small for families with 2 or more children who require larger space for open play. Can get cold at night.
