Wonderful location in Sirince. Beautiful and interesting (if touristy) village. We were glad we stayed here 3 nights instead of Ephesus. Beautiful terrace setting for breakfast, drinks or dinner. We stayed in Clockmaker's cottage.
The room and restaurant seemed a little expensive. Food OK. Instructions for arrival were not very clear, and the town is difficult to navigate by car with streets packed with tourists. Difficult to understand where we were supposed to park, but once we did it worked fine. The parking is less than 1/2 km from the room with an uphill climb on uneven paths, so it would be difficult for those with mobility challenges. The do transport your luggage between the room and the cottage in a cart, but you have to walk.

Omg this place is a dream! So romantic, charming, and the staff very helpful ! Highly recommended!!!

The property is a restored village house but is still reasonably basic. The staff are helpful and the location is great. We maybe expected something a little more comfortable/modern.

This is our second time staying at terraced houses. The old buildings have a beautiful charm about them that you won’t find anywhere else. this time I brought both my daughters who absolutely loved the atmosphere too. They found the views out over the village, beautiful and its location made for easy access to the stalls and markets below.

Suleyman is an amazing person! Friendly and helpful! He made our visit!

Old house in an old mountain village
Room was too small for the bed.....Lighting was terrible.....

beautiful, authentic warm and charming house. cosy atmosphere. extremely well equipped. comfortable beds, beautiful linen and towels. clearly a lot of thought has gone into making these houses welcoming.
everything is there: detergent, dishwasher soap, coffee tea, olive oil etc.
you feel a bit out of this time!
the delightful Suleyman made us immediately feel welcome.
a memorable stay!

Very good and tasty breakfast, friendly staff.

View is good and the small village life is an experience. Suleman tries to help.
no wifi during my the entire duration of our stay
no house keeping
no extra pillows
hot water only for 2 minutes of shower
need lots of maintenance,
small rooms, in photo it looks big.
no service at all
position of ac in bathroom and kitchen haha, not in bedroom
one man trying to do all things
any problems only 1 excuse it's a boutique hotel
I read so many reviews thought it must be good but disappointed

The service and food were excellent! The location was one of the best you can get at Sirince. The property manager Sulayman and his wife went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The property itself is very quaint and there’s a story behind each room!
The room was a little bit smaller than we thought.

Beautifully restored houses and lovely interiors, full of antiques. Incredible views over the village and into the hills. Lovely walking directly from the house. Ephesus and nearby sites are very close. The staff are very kind and welcoming. Breakfast on the terrace restaurant is delicious with home made bread and jams.
It could have been a little cleaner and would be great to have more drinking water provided in the rooms. The village was exceptionally busy during our stay as it coincided with a national holiday. The lower village is quite a popular tourist destination full of shops, restaurants and stalls, which we hadn’t expected. But it’s a beautiful village and the hotel houses are stunning.

The kitchen need to be more organized.

Exceptional service, delicious home prepared breakfast, wonderful place to stay even during rainy days. Super friendly host, very helpful and always smiling.
none, everything was more than perfect!

The price was listed on Booking.com incorrectly in the first place and we had to be charged an extra 100euros for this horrific living situation. The total for 3 nights was 555euros, which we should've spent it on a 5-star hotel instead of this!
The exterior of the Olive House looks like the photos. The interior, however, is utterly unkept. Nothing felt clean or organized. Covid-wise, this 1000% would not pass. It felt like the sofa covers never gets washed. There were even opened cheese packages just lying around in the fridge. There were spider webs visibly around the house and dust was all over the books and CDs which the presence of these items made the house looks even messier and lack of space.
Strongly recommend the tree branches to be trimmed for the stairway leading up to the house as those can scratch people.
If you follow the Google maps direction, you'll be in the wrong location. The drive from the village center to the actual houses is very bumpy and you'd worry for your car tires.
The wifi is extremely weak.

Ömer and Süleyman took very good care of us. They were in touch before we arrived, gave us great recommendations for restaurants and sights and they accommodated all of our requests.
The clockmakers cottage is very cosy and authentic. It is nicely decorated and gives you the feeling of traveling back in time.
Breakfast was vast and delicious and you could still grab some after getting up late.
The town of Şirince is very cosy and cute if you avoid the crowds and tourist stands and just walk around the quiet streets talking to local people.
Şirince itself is very hard to drive in. It is better to leave your car at an otopark and walk to the establishment.

Better directions. The Google maps location was at the other end of the village. Very expensive for what it was.

The place is fantastic - both the house and the village. We've stayed at Olive House, and it was an amazing experience to stay in a very authentic house

Very friendly host! We were allowed to check out at 4pm...all went perfectly.
Thank you so much!

The village of Sirince was really hectic (August 2019) but Ephesus cottage is far enough from the chaos. It is quite above the center, yet it is just 5 minutes walking from there. A great view from the terrace where breakfeast is served and which also operates as a cafe until the evening. The room itself (Haman) was exceptional. Super stylish, feeling fesh but yet in a rustic fashion. Surprisingly there was also a kitchen in the room. The bathroom was just splendid with a beautiful shower corner. The owner gives you several tips on where to go including a brief introduction to the history of Sirince village. If you come by car, he helps finding you a parking place in the village or right at the doorstep of the cottage (which can be challenging to get to because of crowds in the village).
Nothing really.
