Extremely poor, definitely not worth the money

I was told I could not book in until 14.00 , I arrived after , a 3.5 hour car journey from London , I arrived at , 2.45 There was no one on reception , a cook came to say the manager would be 10 minutes , someone arrived , booked me in gave a key showed me to my room , the bed , was not made , I told the man , I would come back later , I went to visit my son , I came back later at 12.00 , went to bed , in the morning I wanted to have a shower , could not get the hot water to work and the handles to operate did not , there were no towels in the room , I had a wash , dressed left at 9.00 am , you could not go out by reception , the stairs led out the front door there was a box to deposit the key ,

Restaurant not open Room was shoddy mirror stood on the floor no curtains hole in the floor double socket detached from the wall no plug for sink in the bathroom plug for the bath didn’t fit insufficient towels lights above the bed didn’t work

Good value for money, clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff.

Shower was broken so that the head doesn’t stay in place. Annoying but not a major issue - still had a hot shower!

The location

It said it was a hotel restaurant but it wasn't! No food or bar on sale at all. Rooms were shabby and dirty. Holes in walls. Missing mirror. Damp in bathroom . Window seals missing . So you got all the outside noise

Nothing - I suffered bed bug bites . No one was there at all as I left the hotel, and they haven’t answered the phone .

Charged £10.00 for Hotel Car Park!!

The room was very small but very clean and the bed was comfortable.

We were charged £10.00 to park in the hotel car park and the receptionist insisted on cash. Note: there's free parking in all the surrounding streets. Also, the TV in the room didn't work. There are no facilities...no restaurant, nowhere to buy even a coffee etc. Not close to local shops either. Some guests were very noisy as they came in late at night. Wouldn't stay here again.

There is no lift and no rooms available on first floor. Not easy if you have health problems and you have to walk up the stairs.

Ok just for getting your head down don’t expect anything

The only decent thing was the feather down duvet Free parking

It was under refurb so not quite sure why they are taking bookings it was basic but we expected that due to the price and to be honest only used it to get our head down after a gig for some reason there had been a single mattress dumped in the room furniture tired and basic communal areas all shut

the single bed was comfortable.

it was unfinished after undergoing renovation on arrival at 3.30 pm only one of the rooms was ready. A member of staff who greeted us didn’t know how to allocate rooms. he phoned his manager who instructed. him to give the keys to one room where we stored our luggage until we arrived back at midnight to then start obtaining keys. my room had a shower connected to the bath taps. no shower screen or curtain and no plug if I wanted a bath. there was also a hole in the shower board preventing me having a shower. There was no kitchen operating so no breakfast facilities.

Horrific. Worst hotel and staff I’ve ever experienced and dangerous conditions.

Nothing. it was in the middle of renovations and we hadn’t been told about it. As a result, the restaurant and bar was closed.

As a result, the restaurant and bar was closed and we were not allowed to go through reception - it was locked off from the rest of the hotel; we had to ring the owners if we needed them, and even then they were very slow to answer. An elderly couple were trapped in their room and were very distressed but the owner did not come to see what happened until they were freed by other guests. There were old mattresses dumped outside the rear of the hotel and old broken furniture littered around the terrace area on the first floor. No banisters on the stairs and the carpets were filthy and wall paper peeling off the walls. Holes in the walls and only small fire extinguisher on one landing. No fire escape plan in the rooms - it’s a tragedy waiting to happen. A notice outside the hotel said ‘opening soon’ but they still had guests staying. Not interested in any complaints and no apologies for the state of the place.

No bar, or restaurant it was all being renovated. It was a building site!!!! The rooms were of a poor standard some guests actually got locked in there own rooms and other guests had to help them get out as no staff anywhere. They should have paid us to stay in this awful place.

Was offered a refund as they had gas supply issues. They have yet to answer the request. Did not stay and this is now the 3rd time they have asked me to review. I will be discussing further with the police as this is now theft

The property is clean and very cheap compared to the local prices and convenient from town centre. Many public transport

tidiness, privacy and a dinner service included with the price. ease to get to the address is an epic advantage.

Really nice room comfy bed

Wardrobe door wouldn't shut properly shower door didn't close properly and tv Ariel was snapping so had to keep moving it to get a connection to the TV
