Very clean room. All i needed for night stay. Lots stairs after a night out !
3.0 / 10.0
I was unlucky enough to have a room overlooking the Main Street and it was very noisy at night. Windows were not double glazed and it was quite difficult to get to sleep. Quality of mattress also very mediocre.
5.0 / 10.0
A great bed for the night in the middle of Oxford, reasonably priced, very polite and professional staff. Couldn't ask for more.

Nice location. Very cold room and lacks noise insulation
3.0 / 10.0
Our room was cold during our overnight stay. The bathroom was cramped and cold. There is no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. We won't be returning to this hotel.
4.0 / 10.0
The ebtrance, stairs, and reception area look a but tired but the room exceeded expectations. Quiet, very clean, and comfortable bed. Shower a little cramped, but plenty of hot water and nice and clean. Brilliant situation in centre of Oxford, close to station, and I would say excellent value for money. Staff really nice. Definitely would stay again.

The location is great and the room was average. The downside is the noise level.
6.0 / 10.0
Hotel really old but nice location, close to Gloucester Square bus station Heathrow buses. Lobby is on second floor with a long narrow staircase to climb and no elevator. Difficult to haul luggage. Front door locked maybe because of security reason so waited for a while to be let in. Single person in reception, not too friendly, who may not be present all the time. Rooms are old and small. Booked a triple room but was given a double but an extra folding bed was provided occupying the entire remaining free floor space in the room. Room so tight that wardrobe doors could not fully open. Clean bedding and linens but the cleanliness of the rest of the room can be improved. But the price of the room not high and the only reason to stay there is the central location and the close walk from the property to the bus or train station.

Everything was perfect with some thoughtful touches.

Excellent location, I work in the hospitality industry and the property is in good shape just minor details, toilet roll holder falling off, different screws used in the fixtures in the bathroom. Overall a great place for the price.

Couldn’t sleep properly due to the noise from the street (windows were closed). Could hear people outside throughout the night till 6am in the morning.

Good service. Close to town centre.

Location is excellent, as well as Staff Service. No elevator, so luggage has to be managed by stairs...

The shower could have had a small corner shelf to place the gel / shampoo etc

Loved every part of the experience!

Nicely located, easy walk to all attractions, but the rooms are super small with limited conveniences.

Ideal spot for walking from railway station and into city centre. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Lovely fluffy towels and good quality bed linen. Would stay again.

The only good thing the property has is the location. I don’t know how the hotel manages to get a 4 star. A 3 star hotel is a more accurate rating. The air conditioner did not work, the carpet was stained, there are no elevators and three sets of stairs. When I asked the receptionist to change my room or move me to a sister hotel, they made it very difficult. They managed to move me for the fist night to a different room which had the filter cleaning function on the air conditioner. Air conditioner was not working in the room either. No effort to accommodate or options except paying a higher price for another room. It is a standard, mediocre service hotel that definetely does not deserve the category of a 4 star.

Over priced and unhelpful staff.

Hottest day of the year and no air conditioner. Disaster! Receptionist not there when entered hotel. Disaster!
Would not return

Right in the middle of Oxford shopping and dining, it is a vibrant and convenient. It is simple but comfortable and the shower has great pressure and I thought my stress was washed away with it. Clean and reasonable.
8.0 / 10.0
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and will store luggage until checkin time. Great location, very close to the train and bus stations and many restaurants.
There were a few negatives: there is no lift and the stairs are steep, the toilet seat was too small for the base and it was not fastened properly. It would be helpful to have some place to put soap while in the shower.

Located in a great location. Walkable to anything you'd like to see and do in Oxford. It was small, but very clean. The only real problem we experienced with the bathroom was that the toilet seat was smaller than the toilet itself making it a bit uncomfortable. They were aware and apologized but it was an order error and they were waiting for new one to be delivered. The restaurant they have "a deal" with for breakfast is not really a deal. 10% off an already expensive breakfast is not a true deal. I believe it was Iberian cuisine and didn't really do anything for us. There is a restaurant called The Spire that is around the corner in the Gloucester Glen Square the was EXCELLENT and we ate there twice before leaving. There is also an outdoor market there with a myriad of street foods that looked and smelled amazing. The hotel is narrow and you are met with about 23 stairs. There is no lift. If your room is not on the 1st floor, you will need to go up more stairs. Overall, a great value and good location

Good location. TV service was bad. No elevator,so not good for elderly people.
10.0 / 10.0
Room was very nice but only place to store toiletries was a ledge above the toilet, inconvenient and a risk of your toothbrush falling in. Stairwell from street level before check in on the first floor is daunting after dragging your bags from the train station. Very good location
8.0 / 10.0
Clean and convenient. Fit for purpose and in a good location
6.0 / 10.0
Location great. This is not a 4* hotel. Staff were nowhere to be found most of the time, apart from one who locked herself out and had to be buzzed back in. Shower emitted a noisy high pitched whine as soon as turned on. AC unit rattled whenever turned on. Windows were not double glazed. We had booked for two nights but left after one night.

Liked the room and the cleanliness within it. Appreciate the staff in their warm welcome and information sharing. The area is pretty close to everything you’ll need to do as a tourist.

Property is great. It was a bit noisy at night due to all the nearby pubs.

Connivence to shopping, walkable to town center, all colleges, & history landmarks.
10.0 / 10.0
The hotel staff was lovely. Oxford itself is loud in the evenings, and rather costly. If you're there to enjoy late nights, this central hotel is great for a solo traveller. Getting to and from the airport is extremely easy via bus only 1 block away.

Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Very gracious reception
2.0 / 10.0
Small bathrooms, very basic, like a Travelodge without any of the facilities and lower quality paint job and poor carpet

Great location, helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms. I would stay here again!

Nice Hotel in the centre of Oxford with pleasant staff. We stayed in room 9 and were woken at 5am with a lorry being unloaded near the room. Don't know how often this would occur.
