My family of 5 recently stayed in this home for the month of May 2022. We travel to San Diego frequently and were excited to stay directly on Coronado for the first time. The home is located within easy walking distance to a great park for the kids, the grocer, and an easy bike ride to the beach. There was a lot that we wanted to love about the house – while many things met expectations, several things fell short. We did love the rooftop patio; it has a great view of the sunset, and the umbrella was nice for working from home during the day. Upon arrival, the home was very dusty and cobwebs in high to reach places; my guess is that the home had been vacant for a while and not checked on before our arrival. After unpacking, I had to shower to remove the dirt and dust because my allergies were going so crazy. A good cleaning on our part, and all was good. Many pieces of furniture showed a serious degree of wear and tear, dirt, and more. Fortunately, the couch cushions were removeable and so we washed them. During our stay, we had no hot water in the kitchen or in the basement bathroom. The host was messaged multiple times about the issue. Finally, a plumber was sent out, but he was unable to resolve the issue. We were very understanding. However, the issue was unable to be resolved during our stay. The kitchen had a serious ant issue – one that appeared to be known and on-going given the presence of ant traps upon our arrival. The host was informed who said that the pest company would stop by. Heavy daily cleaning kept them at bay, and a day and a half before departure, someone did stop by to drop off additional bait traps. The kitchen also was lacking in terms of dishware, glasses, utensils, and plastic/melamine-dishware. We only had 3 adults and 2 kids, so we were able to make do with what was there, but had we had more people, certainly as many as the home advertises to hold, we would have had an issue. The home has a lot of potential but is in need of attention. `Following our stay, the host attempted to collect money for a duvet that was apparently so badly stained it had to be trashed and replaced. However, host failed to ever produce documentation of the issue to support the claim. Given the state of the couches upon our arrival and the several issues we encountered throughout our stay, this request seemed strange and more like an attempt to have the guest pay for new bedding. The issue had to be escalated to VRBO resolutions.

Gillian’s property could not have been more exacting to the shared photos and description, and the reviews from her guests. It was everything my husband and furry kids could have hoped for in a place that felt like home. The layout provides a great upstairs open concept kitchen, dining, and living room, with tons of natural light and a roomy balcony, an abundance of space in bedrooms and bathrooms, and a rooftop patio with views of Gaslamp and the bay that are hard to beat. Not only that, but with such a great location, that’s equidistant to the Coronado Ferry Center as it is to the Hotel Del, downtown, and beaches, you’ll feel like a local in no time. We only used our car when visiting friends and family outside Coronado, and instead took advantage of the opportunity to walk and bike everywhere! We’ve already booked a return trip to Gillian’s home and can’t wait to be back!

Very comfortable house for three adults. Perfect location to walk to every part of Coronado. We stayed for a month and were very happy.

Property was beautiful and well equipped. Owner was easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. We will be coming back to this exact house again soon!!! If you have any hesitation, don’t. Gillian is a top notch host and her house is sublime!!!

We have been to Coronado several times over the years and this was truly one of the best places we have stayed. Everything was provided to make it a wonderful vacation and home away from home. Gillian was extremely responsive to any questions we had. Looking forward to staying again!

Wonderful stay! The home is perfectly located between the beach and the bay allowing for the choice to bike to either day or night. We used the tennis courts across the street which provided endless fun for us and the kids. We really appreciated that there were beach cruisers for everyone to use, as well as sand toys, balls, etc. The roof top deck was a fun place to hangout. Very turnkey. Beautiful weather overall and amazing trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home in lovely Coronado!

This is an incredible home that has everything you need for the perfect Coronado vacation. It is walkable to the beach, to Orange Ave for restaurants and the Del. Gillian was an incredible host and communicated throughout the experience. We hope to come back very soon.

The home was beautiful and had virtually everything we needed. Very accurate listing. Gillian was extremely responsive and helpful. We loved the location as it was walking distance to the park and a short drive to the beaches. We would definitely recommend it!

I had a great time. The weather was great, the home was so fun and the owner was very helpful and nice. I really liked the location and had fun biking and playing tennis with tennis courts right across the street.

We had an incredible stay during our time at this property. We ranged from just 2 of us to 7 guests total that came to visit during or stay as well as our 2 smaller dogs. There was enough space for everyone. The location of the home is PERFECT! Walking to the bay or the ocean was so easy. We loved having the bikes to ride and even bought a little bike trailer so we could ride around the village with our dogs. The rooftop was lovely. The kitchen is stocked so well so you are able to cook basically anything you want. The beach gear was used and we so appreciated having that. Parking in the driveway was great. But street parking for any additional cars is very easy as well. The neighborhood is so safe and quiet. I definitely recommend staying here and if we have a chance, we will for sure be back!

Good location. Can walk anywhere from here. Property has a nice layout and is very comfortable. Only complaint was neighbors' constantly yapping dog. Not this property owner's fault though.
