War bereits zum dritten Mal hier. Es ist einfach toll, man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Alles ist familiär und offen. Keine Bunkbeds und große Zimmer. Ponsonby ist eine klasse Lage und nur maximal 30-40 Gehminuten vom Zentrum bzw. Hafen. Kann es wirklich zu 100% und guten Gewissens empfehlen!

Stunning location, so many restaurants shops and bars walking distance. Nice quiet area. Good common areas. This is a backpackers but has very nice, good sized, ensuite rooms. Comfy bed, good shower and heating and light. Good security

1. The rooms are quiet spacious 2. Everything is really clean and well organised 3. Tons of interesting people 4. Located close to nice restaurants and cafes etc.

It’s my second stay; precious was six years ago, and Verandahs still holds its standards, having upgraded some systems (power switches, heating, ..). Each bathroom/toilet cubicle is very large (could do with shelves and more hooks though). My single room was large, with a desk and chair, and a long enough clothes rail and hangers. It is quieter than you’d think, and Ponsonby Park just below is a treasure! Easy checkin and checkout.

Parking is still on a first come first serve basis, and only serves 6 vehicles approx. I got lucky and didn’t move the car, walked to eat out. A great place for visitors on foot or bikes. A suggestion: a couple of wee shelves would be handy in bathrooms, as well as a couple more hooks on wall panels for towels and clothes/gowns.

Bequeme Betten, ausreichend viele Badezimmer auf den Etagen. Ruhige Lage. Nach hinten raus liegt ein wunderschöner Park. Große Küche, die auch tagsüber mehrfach durch das Personal saubergemacht wurde. Super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Rooms are mosquito-ridden as well as hot and stuffy in summer at night.

proximity to shops and the city as well as airport the guy at reception was friendly. bed was comfortable room was spacious and bathrooms were clean.

The windows are quite old and it was banging in the night due to the wind which disturbed me .

kuzer Weg aus der Innenstadt und dann gefühlt zuhause ankommen. Die Balkone und der Garten mit Blick auf alte Bäume im Park und den beleuchteten Skytower bei Nacht : toll. Großzügige Küche, schöne Bibliothek.

Great location, beautiful park and very comfortable rooms. Spacious and well-equipped kitchen, lot's of cozy common areas to relax/ socialise. Very friendly staff & hostel guests.

No too much privacy in the rooms as there's no bunk beds with curtains etc., but there's just a few beds per room and they are very comfortable, so it is not a problem. Some side lamps could be of use as well. Otherwise, everything is great.

J’ai adoré le côté cosy de l’intérieur, la localisation est top, on est près d’un parc et avec vue sur la Sky tower (c’était parfait pour le nouvel an), c’est super propre, la cuisine est très bien équipée, le staff est super gentil et on se sent un peu « à la maison » dans cette auberge, je recommande ++

Die Stimmung an sich war super entspannt und die Leute alle sehr freundlich und offen. Das Badezimmer war groß und man hatte viel Platz. In den Zimmern war genügend Platz.

Es gibt leider kein Schließfach für die Sachen, so dass alles recht offen im Zimmer rumliegt. Könnten auch ein paar mehr Steckdosen im Zimmer sein :)

Immaculate property. Safe & well run. Great location for the city without being in the middle of the city as it is "parkside."

Cleanliness of the room needs some work. The room needed a hoover and desk needed a wipe as the desk was dirty and there was hair on the carpet

Cleanliness was excellent. After hours check-in was easy and instructions were clear.

Mattresses were old and had significant dips in them where people had used as chairs. There was no chair in the bedroom. This led to a poor nights sleep.

Super kind host! Very clean and beautifully furnished. Centrally located with a lot of nice shops, cafés and countdown supermarket. Big common area and kitchen plus a nice garden! I loved staying here :)

We loved the lodging and the location. The lodge was very cozy and comfortable and had the best location beside a beautiful park. The Ponsonby area is also very charming and convenient to be in. The rooms were clean and the shared spaces had all the basic necessities. Even at busy times, we always had a space for meals in the shared kitchen.

We would have appreciated having body wash and shampoo in the bathrooms.

No entertainment center for guests. No television or any form of entertainment

Clean rooms with single beds and a lot of room. Lots of windows for ventilation. Well equipped kitchen with lots of shared refrigerator space. Hot showers.

WiFi speed was all over the place. Some times fast and sometimes nonexistent. No TV to watch World Cup games.

Loved everything about this place. So so clean with a lot of nice people staying as well.

very welcoming and homely feel to it. The location was great with shops and restaurants near by as well as some green space in the city.

Great Location! Walking distance to downtown and one of the best restaurant areas in Aukland around the corner. A fantastic café / icecream shop/ Thai restaurant just 50 meters away with the best breakfasts in town. Basic rooms and dorms but really nice facilities with big kitchen and park view in a beautiful quirky old villa. The manager Campbell was so nice and kept a suitcase for us while we were travelling in a small camper.

Basic materials in the room - old carpet, single glas windows...Could be updated easily (but also the cost would be more, so we like it better this way)
