The restaurant would turn anyone skinny to fat in a week absolutely smashing

great position for exploring north Norfolk coastline. Room 251was a corner room with large bay window sunny all day. nice to sit in. good shower and whirlpool bath. Food was nice Staff were pleasant especially the room cleaners.

the public areas were a little tired especially the bar. the mattress had buttons and after two nights I had to sleep on a towel as my hip felt bruised The menu was rather low grade and didn’t sell the food very well. but the food itself was really well cooked and presented / the chef deserves a better showcase for his food.

Friendly staff, greeted me by my first name. Quick to respond to all requests. Clean, quiet and comfortable room.

Restaurant and bar was very good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Seafood chowder for a starter was perfect, lobster was good and chocolate desert was great. I used the pool and thoroughly enjoyed it as it was a hot and humid weekend. The room was clean, well appointed, had decent space and the double bed was large and comfortable. The tea, coffee and biscuit in the room were all fine. Shower only in the bathroom but that was fine with me on a humid day and night. I was a late booker for only a single night so this was all very reasonable. Also, good car parking which is appreciated.

Being a late booker I had a room with very small windows and outside was what sounded like a noisy refrigeration unit - someone has to get that room I suppose. Most of the year this would not be an issue but it made a noise that kept me awake on a humid night as I could not afford to shut the windows due to stuffy air. This reduced my rating of facilities and comfort from excellent to good. Also my enjoyment of the pool was postponed in the morning due to a silly rule of 'you can't go into the pool alone after 9:30am' which I only found out once I had already showered before entering and then was left waiting by the security door for five minutes for another couple to turn up so I could be let into the pool area. A staff member should have told me when I signed in and the CCTV clearly showed an empty pool. This reduced my staff rating from excellent to good also.

Beautiful walk in showers; lovely ' turret' room upgrade; v quiet; room not too hot; but warmed up quickly, guests v. Considerate; clean sheets; lovely toiletries

No light where kettle was so had to move kettle to nearby lamp. Don't think the housekeeper approved as there ere no biscuits/ top- up teas and codlffees for the rest of the stay:(

Excellent hotel with very clean rooms and friendly staff. The bar food i had was very tasty. Plenty of parking. Would stop there again.
