Great location, balcony was nice to have, big room. AC worked well. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. We were here for our first night in San Juan.
Shower did not get hot. Lots of text and email messages to us about general rules such as keeping the noise down and cleaning up which seemed strange. We guess they must have problems with some of their guests. The hotel was quite when we were there (mid July). It was interesting that the guests next to us, but in a different hotel, were blaring music quite late.

Lovely building with old charm, yet clean, comfortable and with all the necessary amenities. Beautiful interior decor. Great location to walk around old San Juan.
Too strict checkout time of 11 am. Have to pay $45 for a late checkout at 1 pm. Check in time was pretty late at 4 pm, so they could've accommodated a little bit. Most hotels allow an hour late without any trouble.

I really liked the hotel itself- the beds were comfortable, I felt very safe as a female solo traveler, and it was a comfortable nice hotel. I needed to be in Old San Juan so the location was nice for me! Overall I had a really nice stay and it was exactly what I needed for this trip.
With the location, it was a bit noisy. They try their best to remedy it with quiet hours but the streets are loud with cars, people, and restaurants/bars so it can’t be completely helped. But I came prepared with earplugs so it wasn’t a huge deal- just something to be prepared for. :)

I could everything going on outside my room into the night it was people talking and then started up again around 5am with visitors and staff talking…loudly!

the only issue was outside as there is construction happening in Fortaleza but it did not disturb inside.

great location. tons of stores and restaurants nearby. everything was walking distance. sightseeing. cruise ship port only a 10 min drive away.
room was VERY small. couldn’t change in the bathroom. sink and toilet were on top of each other. you could go to the bathroom and brush your teeth at the same time. angle of the tv was no good. couldn’t change channels with the remote while relaxing in bed. trash can could’ve been bigger. it was the size of a quart container. nothing fit in it.

Location was excellent! Rooms were very clean. Noise could easily be heard outside of the downstairs rooms, but other guests seemed to respect the quiet hours so it never bothered me during the night.
Some of the electrical outlets in the rooms didn't work and there were a limited number of them within the room so it was hard with 3 people in the room to have our phones charging in an area that was accessible to your bed.

The location is fantastic and so is the staff. The room is ok but needs a better aeration system since the building is old and it smells a bit musty. I will still recommend it because of the location.

Excellent location, very close to everything you'd want to do in Old San Juan. Charming architecture. Very friendly and helpful staff - I appreciated the texting system they used.
The walls were quite thin, and although there were regular reminders posted about minimizing noise for other guests, it was very easy to hear what was happening out in the hallway. This probably would've been a non-issue if we'd brought earplugs though.

Regular room is extremely small. I thought I reserved a suite for $135.00, but I got an extremely small room. I disappointed that Booking claims to honor upgrade based on availability but I never get one.
