Room spacious, bed comfy.

Dump smell. No wi-fi provided. Communal area very dirty. Shared toilet which was very dirty and smelly. No handle on the door. Filthy carpets. No lamp in the room. Lights are dodgy. No soap in dispenser. Very far from the cleanliness standards. Council should have to examine this place.

The location, in the middle of Forest Gate, next to Wanstead Flats was ideal for my requirements.

The building, the communal areas, and the room itself were tired and dirty. The bedclothes were stained. (I'm assuming/hoping that they were at least clean, although it was difficult to tell.) Staff were surly and unapproachable, and I felt like I was intruding.

Within walking distance to transportation. Good enough as a bed for a night but not for long stay. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall, it met my needs for the night.

Shared bathroom. Small, compact room. Could do with some TLC.

I didn't eat the breakfast as the place was not particularly clean and not somewhere I wanted to eat.

The first room had tape on the walls, poor cleanliness and generally in a poor state. The shared bathroom didn't even have a working lock. I was moved to another room with a shower which should have been better but sadly, the shower didn't work!

Lovely pub and comfy room. Nice to explore the Epping Forest.

The way out

The rooms were nothing like the pictures, no one about to see at night, we had bed bugs, had to stay in the double room 5 of us, due to our triple room bed bugs, I booked two rooms a double and triple, I had 3 children with me, it was not clean our flooring some missing no handle on one tap at sink, big hair ball in the corner outside the shower, head board was dirty bed bug in it, we sprayed perfume to kill the bugs, baby ones on our pillows, killed 3 big ones put each one on a separate face pad, had to book train home on the Saturday, we arrived only on the Friday and our stay was for 2 days, never been in such a awful place, says hotel nowhere for the kids to go, as it was a bar, they were not allowed in there, not suitable for children.
