Meals were good. Location was good.

The extractor fan in the bathroom of room 20 the family room was exceptionally loud. The bedroom window wouldn't shut and people drinking and talking/laughing under window in family room luckily it went quiet after 23.00. Breakfast no menu or information on what was expected waitress reeled off what was on full English. No other option offered. Had to ask for more milk twice which never appeared. Had to ask for sugar and more butter. Had to look for staff to book in and when booking out staff didn't appear interested. Had drink in bar given dirty glass with purple lipstick. Wine was warm. No bottled coke. People walking around with no masks not challenged even approaching bar.

The hand hotel is home from home very clean room very comfortable bed nothing was to much trouble for the staff very good location 2 min walk to restaurants cafes & pubs lovely breakfast as well everything was spot on I recommend this hotel to anyone will be returning had a lovely beer garden just across the road which was great & dog friendly aswell

Love the location right on the river and central for the village, staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble, room was large and comfortable

The only problem with this hotel no lift and alot of stairs as the hotel has no rooms on the ground floor.

Hotel in need of refurbishment,very dated especially the bedroom and bathroom. Also on our second night we were not informed the kitchen was closed and so wouldn't be able to have an evening meal.

Liked that we could have our meals in the bar with our dog. The staff were very friendly. The view was great. The food was excellent.

We didn’t like the fact that our room was on the top floor. It was difficult getting to & from the room with the dog & our luggage, would have preferred a room on the lower floors & been prepared to sacrifice the view. As a rule of thumb we normally book a room on the lower floors as are very conscious of getting out if there were to be a fire & being on the top floor felt very vulnerable even though the fire exits were sign posted, it’s just a concern we have when booking a hotel & something we try & avoid. It was beyond the hotels control but with all the roadworks currently going on in the town found it difficult & slow to find the car park.
