Location
Every thing else ,poor maintenance, poor breakfast choice,way to pricy fir the services offered.heritage property shouldn't be an excuse for poor maintenance.

Mooi historisch pand op hele goede locatie.
Met uitzondering van personeel in de bar, was het personeel weinig vriendelijk en klantgericht.
Met name de badkamers en raambekleding en het meubilair om het zwembad was verouderd.
Met name avondbuffet viel tegen qua keuzes.

From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Fabulous room , amazing history, exceptional location and great service. We highly recommend this hotel to people who really value history and appreciate that this hotel is an old hotel not a modern one. Very easy to access shopping, food, groceries and the sights.

Nothing went well, and the worst was the front office Manager. Nothing short of unprofessional. His name is Mahesh Dissanayake or Hashan Dissanayake.
First it took more than 40 minute to check in while there was no wait and we arrived at 8pm and check in was available from 2pm.
Room given was not the one booked
Room was far to be a studio size , bathroom was disgusting and I had water leaks from the ceiling all night

The beds were confortable and the bedrooms large.
Love the pool, and It was clean.
Need a full renovation. Not a confortable hotel. A lot of confusion at reception between staff.
The breakfast was not fresh.

Location is great. Pool is really good. Old world charm, a step back in time. Lovely timber floors and high ceilings.
The room was sloped down wards but once I found two pieces of wood to chock up the bed it was fine.
Front desk staff mildly arrogant, reasonably ignorant and not a lot of concern to assist inquiries.

The location was great right next to the lake and close to local eateries and opposite the temple
The service was not great we had asked a few questions about local transport & trains and they weren’t able to help, there was a wedding on when we arrived which meant the pool area was being used by wedding guests which means it was very awkward to sit by the pool
It was my birthday the morning of our stay which we wrote in the booking and nothing was done for it not even a greeting at the check in and out

The hotel service is very poor, and the hotel itself is dusty and not clean. Furthermore, the bedrooms and bedsheets are not properly maintained. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money.

The staff, service and historical building were just exceptional and beautiful. It is in an excellent location lake-side and next to the temple and the staff bent over backwards to help us, with unparalleled service. The rooms were very neat and tidy, and well air-conditioned.
I also loved the historic lift in the building, such character!
Only small things, the aircon in my room had a broken louvre and blew straight down onto the bed where I was sleeping, the aircon remote didn’t work and the bed was a little hard (older style solid mattress). But other than that, it was beautiful.

It’s very run down and rooms are dark. Such a shame as it could be so beautiful!

Reception staffs are not eligible/ not professional
Room furnitures, Toilets items are too old and not maintain/not clean also bath tub was broken
breakfast and ask the price and was told LKR 2000- While serving it was informed LKR 2,500-😕
Restaurant was not tidy and noticed lot of fruits flies and informed to staff
However, they were not much concern 👎🏻

Just location and one room its good for lake view , other rooms not that match

Next day the manager apologized for us but after a horrible night .

Location
Horrible food. We asked for room service and ordered a whitesauce pasta and grilled chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce + mash potato for dinner.
The pasta was completely undercooked and the chicken came with ketchup on it instead of the creamy mushroom sauce and fries instead of mash potato. We returned the food and the manager didn't seem to care too much.
We ended up stepping out at 10pm scouting for a place to eat.

Central location, Very close to Dalada Maligawa and city, Staff were very helpful and kind.
Very old equipment, Takes ages to get hot water, Bath tubs were too high and very difficult for my parents to get in to that.

The Location was awesome. Staff was very friendly and was open for suggestions.
The wash room was soo dirty and there were tissues stuck on the walls. Was not so busy like it used to be.
