Room, bathroom and toilet all very clean and comfortable, if a little chilly, but good radiator in room and plenty of hot water Small fridge in room, supplied with milk and orange juice, together with selection of small cereal packets, very useful Room surprisingly quiet even though pub is right on a town centre junction

Steep and short stairs up from bar area might not be ideal for anyone with limited mobility, and loud music from bar, particularly live band on Saturday night, not ideal but we were warned about this and the bar closed quite early in midweek Overall, expectations far exceeded, ideal for a clean, basic and comfortable stay located perfectly for exploring North Norfolk countryside, historic houses, ruins and coast

We thought we booked a room with a double & single bed however on arrival there wasn’t a single bed, just a seat that folded down as a make up bed.

The lady who received me at the bar said little to nothing was not welcoming at all told me I'd paid, handed me the key and said room number and said out back upstairs, nothing else. Had read a previous review so obviously nothing learned there.
