The shipping container did get really hot during the days, and there’s no air flow that doesn’t involve a bunch of bugs getting inside.

Incredible location and hosts.. you won't find anything else like this in Chalten.. completely unforgettable!!

The view is the initial seller, but once you meet the owners Rebecca and Federico and you get to your container you know you’ve arrived to a place that is more than just an amazing view of Fitz Roy, some how you feel you are home even though home is miles away. The bed is very comfortable, soft sheets, self sustainable space full of silence, peace and everything you need. Take time to read one of the many small books they have and learn a little bit about El Chalten’s story. We stayed two nights and wished we had stayed many many more. We will be coming back. It was really hard to leave!

Location in the midst of wild nature with easy access to paths towards the mountains. Small but well equipped container (bring your food, you can cook!), super comfy bed with incredible views. Hot running water, gas heating, dry toilet. The quiet and peace. Rebecca was always ready to help and welcomed us when we arrived. Better to have a car although not strictly necessary if you come for walking. A dream place if you like nature and walking.

It was not a real issue for us, but if you stay here you should be aware there’s no wifi and the closest 3G connection for your cell phone is 25 mins away by car in the village. For some this will be a blessing, but others may have a problem with being so disconnected.
