No disponen de ningún sistema para repeler la elevada cantidad de mosquitos. El servicio de desayuno y comida debe ser más rápido. La habitación no incluye servicio de bicicleta, debes alquilarlas.

Me encanto la cercanía con la playa que era hermosa, uno de los puntos más lindos de la costa. También me gusto la calidez del personal (camareros, cocinero, limpieza). El desayuno INCREÍBLE y los platos del restaurant también!!

No me gusto que no haya frigobar en las habitaciones, no permitiendo comprarte siquiera agua para mantenerla fría, lo que te obligaba a consumir en el lugar (porque además queda bastante lejos del centro). Siempre había agua disponible en un dispenser pero había que pedirla en recepción y no estaba fría, sino natural.

Tuvimos un problema, estaban robando un el cuarto personal de limpieza se les comunico al gerente y no hizo nada.

The pool was below standards but since the beach only minutes away the pool did not matter.

A wonderful and beautiful place. Clean, quiet and right at the beach. The manager and all the staff was exceptional friendly, helpful and made our stay unforgettable and one of the most loved ones of our entire trip.

Location was perfect. Best beach on the island! All the staff were so wonderful… Special shout-outs to Karolina, Adrian, and Marcos for being perfect hosts! 🩵🩵🩵 The restaurant had good food, their ceviche was excellent and I recommend their limomenta! All staff were polite and professional. Rooms were very cute and comfortable. I loved the decor and ambiance. The beach has beautiful, warm, shallow & clear water. No sargasso whatsoever! Only soft, white sand and lots of shells. Plenty of comfy beach loungers and shade. Beach bar waitresses were attentive and sweet. Massages available on the beach as well. And they don’t play obnoxiously loud music, which I appreciate!

Mosquitoes were out of control, but that is not the hotels fault. Hotel is a bit far from town, but it is worth it.

I loved absolutely everything about this place! When we arrived we were greeted by a warm and friendly Marcus who gently checked us in - it was hot so he offered us water and a moist towel that had been in the fridge. The room was accessed via a white sand covered courtyard with palm trees and a pretty pool. The room with high ceilings, and a ceiling fan (also aircon and a safe) looked onto the beautiful courtyard. The room decor is minimalist with gorgeous touches like the under bed lighting or the low hanging pendant side lights. From our bedroom we were less than a minute walk from the quiet, white sand beach that’s removed from the noise and bustle of the beaches towards the centre. We spent many hours at the beach bar dining and drinking cocktails while watching the sun go down. Marcus was also so good to organise massages for us on the beach! Which was the best massage I have had in my life. In the mornings we had a beautiful breakfast on a terrace enclosed by a wooden and palm roof. The staff were so attentive and pleasant at all times. They were always happy to order taxis to the centre or organise a boat trip! Our stay in Puerta Azul has been the highlight of our trip - a magical piece of paradise!

There is nothing I didn’t like about this property. It’s perfect.

The hotel it self is very nice decorated. You can really see the effort that the stuff is putting into details. The breakfast was good. The service is very nice and the room was very clean. The Beachfront is alright as well. We enjoyed our stay!

Internet was spotty.

It was completely chaotic Day 1 - the toilet didn’t work Day 2- they cut us the water without telling us to make some repair on the unoccupied room below The owner approached us to ask to cut the hot water once we got the water back but no apologies or explanations and very rude attitude Apart from the issues above, it definitely doesn’t fit what you would expect from its booking rating and the price. There is no hot water and Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly which both seems to be a recurrent issue as I have read in many other comments

I cannot express how much i love this hotel. 10/10 Staff - the staff was incredibly helpful, especially Amy & Santiago, before, during and after our stay. They made my friends and I feel right at home and were always super helpful and very kind. I will only stay ta La Puerta Azul going forward and feel very lucky to have stayed there. In addition, the staff in the restaurant and hotel bar were magnificent and made everyone feel at home, even if you were not staying at the Hotel. 10/10 Location - Away from the center and right on the beach perfection. 10/10 Value/ Cleanliness - i stayed in a 2 bedroom room with my 3 friends and we had more than enough room. The cleaning staff cleaned daily and always were able to give you extra of something if you ran out. The beds were comfortable and each room had its own AC and fan.

5/10 Shower Facilities - Shower pressure could have been better, however, it was not horrible and did the job. I realize that La Puerta Azul is located on an island and they have very little control of certain things. 6/10 - Bikes. La Puerta Azul has bikes but just need to have an air pump to fill up the tires because when we tried to ride bikes, the tires were very deflated and hard to ride. Did the job but just an extra work out. Wish La Puerta Azul had paddle bored and kayaks to rent but you can get these in the center, however, would have much rather paddle boarded at the hotel but no biggy

shower heads were absolutely terrible, barely any water, not enough to remove the shampoo from my hair, the music they play on the beach is techno from 9am onwards all day - unbearable :(

the part that leads to the beach was very dark at night , no bath amenities , definitely not a 4 star hotel
