It was a lovely cottage in a lovely setting. However, we were there during 'The beast from the east' and was snowed in for a few days. We were comfortable and enjoyed the enforced rest!

We spent three nights at Candy Cottage (Green Cottages) and found that the property, facilities etc were excellent. Although we didn't spend much time cooking the kitchen was equipped with good quality fittings and plenty of cutlery, pots and pans etc (we have been to several places where this has been extremely lacking). The beds, one double and one single were extremely comfortable, which of course is quite important and although the weather was somewhat foul we really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was clean and comfortable, sits on the village green with cafe and pub on either side, the host friendly, arriving with a warm sourdough loaf to add to the welcome supplies. So quiet at night but a bit of a buzz in the village by day.
