Great location, very clean, multiple places to eat nearby, would stay again

There were a lot of pros and cons to this rental. It’s a ranch style house that was converted into a bunch of small apartments. It seems many houses in this area are doing the same. I’m going to break it down the best I can. Total Pros: great communication with owner/manager, safe area, clean, had a small kitchen area, about 3 blocks from the beach, rented 3 chairs and an umbrella for $22/day, close to restaurants and little shops (CVS and Walgreens about 10 minute walk away, grocery store about 15 minutes. We needed an Uber to get back from supermarket cost about $12. Mixed pros/cons : Large bathroom with nice very hot shower. Con was limited water pressure in the shower. I had to wash my hair in the sink after the beach because it would have taken forever in that shower. Proximity to Carolina beach was great. Con walking you have to take a pedestrian overpass over the highway to get to it. There were no lights on it, but we still felt relatively safe using it at night. There were a good number of steps to climb. The handicap elevator was not working both directions. Being oxygen dependent that was very difficult to and from shops/restaurants/beach. There were probably about 50 steps each direction. You could take an Uber to the area for about $5-10 each way as an alternative. Total Cons : The a/c unit didn’t totally cool off the place. We went to CVS and bought a fan to move the air. The unit also makes a noise from time to time that sounds like a buzzer from a dryer. It lasts about 10 seconds each time it went off .. all night long. There was a window in the kitchen area, but it’s not screened. The highway is right behind it, so it was too noisy to keep open. The beds are low to the ground and the mattresses and pillows were thin and very uncomfortable. There was a musty smell. It was kind of like the place needed a dehumidifier or something. We kind of got use to the smell after a couple of days. Walking in the door when we got home my pet sitter asked what the smell was. Our luggage carried the smell home us us. 😕 I have to say I was staying at a hotel near by that I was disappointed in. The owner was helpful in getting us into the rental at the last minute. We were able to switch locations after a couple of days. That was very much appreciated. The down side was the rental wasn’t much better than the hotel we had left. My take away is for the cost of this rental spend a few bucks more and stay on the beach side.

My husband and I stayed with our two children (age 5 and 10) at this property and we had everything we needed. This property was location in the heart of isla verde and was close to everything from the beach to all the wonderful restaurants. It was a pleasure staying here for 5 days!

My friends and I loved our stay. The location was prefect and the hosts were very nice and always responded. I felt safe and had a lot of fun :)
