Everything about this property was elegant. The location, ambience, views and staff couldn’t have been better.

I was shocked when we arrived to a construction site. The parking garage and oceanfront section of the hotel were covered by scaffolding and restoration signs. It would have been nice to receive an alert about this especially since most people staying here are paying a premium for the view. They could make directions more clear regarding how to get from the garage to the shore house for check in, or how to pay the guest price for parking (we were charged the full $75).

we needed to find food after 9pm and there was only one place, Bar, to get the food. Also, I would say the bar food was extremely expensive.

The hotel is beautiful! I love all the finishes, it is pure luxury. The location is top notch truly can’t be beat. They are dog friendly which is a huge plus.

The staff and system glitches gave me stress. The sell is VIP concierge service on the website. It has not felt VIP. I prepaid for 4 nights at the shore house and when I checked in they charged my cc for the full amount again. Once I showed my email showing proof of payment the staff said it would be reversed however it is still pending on my cc. The self-park has been stressful. Four separate times we asked to have it added to our room key card and each time the front desk assures us it will work, each time we try to leave the parking lot (which is a ten min walk) the machine won’t let us through without paying. (no refund of these charges was offered so we are paying at the lot and on our hotel bill) When we booked the room it said an outside fireplace was included but it is not currently working. We would have chosen a cheaper room option if we knew this. (no compensation for the loss of this amenity was offered)Complimentary beach chairs were included in the rate as well but they are also not available. When we asked the front desk about the beach chairs they sent us down to the main resort to get the chairs (ten minute walk there and back) but the beach shack was closed. When we came back to the shore house front desk to let them know the staff first said they shut down early for the day (the sign says 10 am to sunset and we were there at 2 pm.) We would have liked them to find us beach chairs as sunset wasn’t for another 3+ hours but they said it was not an option. Because of the stress and hassle with a number of disappointments it has not been worth the price point. I’m sure they will work these glitches out in time and staff will gain the experience and knowledge of the resort needed but it might be something to consider when deciding between the more established resorts located on the property.
