Good hotel - the area it’s in was actually a brilliant place to stay with nice walks along the coast. There are lots of nearby food options and a great breakfast place nearby (fig tree cafe) and there’s a big food market - liberty market not too far away. Lot of parking, good self serve washing machines / dryers, friendly staff, nice area. It’s an Uber ride to most places in San Diego but San Diego is so stretched out that it didn’t matter. Felt really safe around the hotel compared to downtown. Pool area was a bit random - wasn’t sure if anyone could use the pool from outwith the hotel although we didn’t actually have any issues. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Long time visitor of Liberty Station but first time guest at the Courtyard Marriot. Check-in was easy, and a room was ready even though we checked in early. Although the balcony was small (the width of a chair) we still had a partial view of the water. The room was clean and had all the typical amenities. The bed was comfortable and the blackout shades helped us sleep in. Parking isn't free but there were enough spots. The hotel in a great location. It's across from a large park with paved and unpaved walking paths. There's a kayak and SUP rental directly outside the hotel and it's within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. Be wary that it's across the bay from the airport, but once inside your hotel room, you don't notice.

The customer sevice and location were excellent. The room itself was just great. Here is where my problem started...I was put in a handicap accessible room which wasn't requested. The issue with my stay was that the bathroom wasn't draining properly, so the bathroom was wet the entire stay. The front desk was informed and was supposed to send someone to fix it but it was not fixed. Having to walk around water in the middle of the night was not fun.

Rooms were not huge but fine for a couple.
Cute restaurants and shopping nearby. Bed was decent. It was clean. The groundskeepers were loud in the morning and we had first floor rooms.
Had laundry room which we ended up needing-exploding pop in car. We would stay again.

Not a good experience. The room key did not work so the front desk clerk had to let me in my room every time I left and came back.

The towels upon arrival had not been replaced, as evidenced by the dirtiness in obvious use of the towels. Both of the queen beds were inclined a bit so your head was lower than your feet. We had to use all the pillows to try to prop us up so we could get to sleep. Every night there was not a great night sleep. This is a fairly expensive hotel that we stay at every July going back several years. We have never seen this level of dirtiness.

Arrived at 4 pm to check in and we were told computers were down. They asked us for our phone number and they said they would call us as soon as computers were up. Families with kids waiting as well to check in and were told they would be called. 1hour and a half later we noticed people were coming in and being checked in. We were never called we waited in lobby the whole time. We would go up and kept being told they were working on issue. We got in line and we’re finally checking in , no apology , never called us. We don’t like to complain but will never go back to this hotel.

Hotel was nice a bit hidden location which can be good if you want something safe away from all the chaos of being in the middle of the city. Room was cool but found multiple stains on the couches and sheets. Towels were in pretty used condition but everything seemed to work and staff was nice. Parking got filled upped quickly but felt safe and was good minus our rooms cleanliness.

I was awaken by the sound of machine guns and found out that the Navy Seals practice right across from the hotel. Even though I lost sleep but it reminded me that these people are willing to sacrifice their lives for our freedom. So no problem with this noise

The inside and outside of the hotel are very clean. The rooms are very spacious. It is in a great area (Liberty Station) to walk or run and their are many dining options. The folks at the front desk are very helpful and friendly.

Loved how close it is to dining options and the SD Bay for fun water activities.
Most appreciated the friendly and professional staff.
My only suggestion is to provide valet parking for their guests. It was very difficult to find parking on July 4th.
