Marriott used to be among the best hotels. Not anymore. So many things show that it is not a 5 star hotel. We will never stay at any Marriott hotel anymore.

Our stay was very pleasant, the location is extremely good, walking distance to the metro and with the shopping Center just next door, very convenient for shopping.. the famous Nanjing walking street is close by as well…the only disappointing thing is the breakfast, for the price it’s very expensive… but for those who can afford it it’s not an issue..

I was in a rush to airport after checking out, and Zack was very friendly and helpful. He loaded my luggage to the car and promised to help me ship a package to HK through Shunfeng. I appreciate his help and will come back to Marriott Marquis again next March to say thanks to Zack in person.

Judy is the one handle my 1825 room. She is very attentive and helpful.
She see I am using my tablet as a mouse pad and she initiative provide me a mouse pad for me to use.

The location is great, there are convenient stores, restaurants, and stores close to the store.
The metro is only 300m away and there is a big park close to it.
The room is very clean and the staffs are very kind.
It's worth to mention that you have options of English channels on TV.

Great location, right next to a pedestrian area and relatively close to all major attractions. Very happy with the stay.

The hotel is grand and well maintained. It is also very well managed. The hotel staff I met were polite and helpful. Made me felt respected and welcomed. I also got an upgrade to a bigger room. Breakfast and buffet dinner were excellent with numerous choices. But, the Chinese dishes were having not many choices and taste not as good as the western dishes. I suggest that Canton dishes such as Dim Sum and Siu Mei can add different flavour to the existing northern orientated dishes.
The samsung TV was good and had casting function, so that I can use my phone to watch whatever I like. My only complaint was the wifi speed which was not good at night during peak hours keeping me waiting while I was watching movie vide my phone.

Truly a five star service. Kind, helpful and accommodating staff. Clean rooms that are cleaned regularly in which the staff in that department perform perfectly, firm yet comforting beds and well more than enough water than i needed.

Lobby can be a bit busy and loud, but the room area is nice and quiet, reasonably new and updated. Location is top notch, easy access to metro and buses, a couple of minutes walk from Nanjing Pedestrian Street.

Hotel was in a great central location. Rooms were okay, a little tired around the edges. Staff at front desk were clearly drowning in work. It is an extremely busy hotel, which meant your requests may sometimes go unheard.

The location is near the shopping center s. Very walkable. Several food choices in the area. The tea inside the hotel is very expensive and the quality is not good.

Love the location of this hotel! It’s a short 3mins walk to Nanjing Road and the Metro Station. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My family and I have nothing but praises for this hotel! Kudos to the staff who have rendered excellent customer service and full of initiative! Will definitely return when I go to Shanghai.
