Great location, good room terrible mattress, every sping could be felt and heard

We travelled as 3 adults one was a wheelchair user.
Only 1 of 2 lifts worked and therefore we had to stand for 10 mins and wait for an empty lift to come so we could get in with the wheelchair. The lifts were tiny and with one adult and a wheelchair there was no space.
The corridors were narrow and the rooms were compact.
Two of us woke up during the evening freezing, turning the heating up did no good.
We had a restless night.
Breakfast was ok, enough choice, there was a waffle maker which I have not seen before.
I picked this hotel as we have stayed at otherHilton by Hampton’s which are great for wheelchair users, spacious corridors, lifts and rooms.
The staff were lovely but I won’t be back to stay here.

This is my go to hotel when visiting Newcastle. Not only is it across the street from the train station, it is a lovely hotel which is so reasonable priced. Breakfast is included in price and very tasty. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you will need.
Staff are friendly and welcoming. We were able to get into the room early which was great! Highly recommend the hotel, and look forward to our next trip.

From start to leaving we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Very convenient if travelling by train and easy to get around from it postion. Good standard rooms and good breakfast not a large choice but very adequate. Staff very helpful.

Down in Newcastle for work.
The hotel is a bit tired. Staff are lovely but as your slap bang in the middle of town the place is a bit rowdy to say the least

The staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially the lady who checked me in. She gave me lots of useful assistance with regards to the Great North Run as well.

This hotel is a credit to the staff, they where all fantastic , the hotel is ideally situated opposite the station, handy for all the amenities, the free breakfast was a wonderful addition, my only gripe is the glass in the toilet/shower door, it needs replacing with something you cannot see through, it is so impersonation, overall, great hotel

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, however
the fabric on chair in the room was stained, a few minutes cleaning would resolve this.
The breakfast was excellent. Watching people use the waffle maker was entertaining.

Solid hotel at a great price. Very convenient to the central train station and central Newcastle. Good breakfast buffet as well. Room is comfortable and modern with a good little workspace if needed.

Friendly staff and very accommodating. The hotel is in a great location for transport and restaurants/bars. We arrived earlier than expected and staff were able to check us in early, with the added bonus of an upgrade. The room was very spacious, comfortable bed and great shower. Breakfast was good, with a variety of continental and cooked breakfast available. We have stayed at this hotel a few times and wouldn't hesitate to return again.

Excellent stay at this hotel , lovely room 518 ,as per photos ,no noise at all from road beside Central st , lovely breakfast on level 2, will stop again at this hotel , comfortable bed , nice walk in shower with all shower gels , shampoo etc , soft towels

The hotel was very convenient to the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue with the room was the lack of a comfortable chair. It only had the desk chair.

Nice hotel in the centre of the city, but surround by late night bars! Did not get much sleep at all, I think the last bar closed at 4am, this was directly below our hotel room.

Checked in, went to room and we discovered the second bed was a child size sofa bed. This was basic, unclean and stained with bodily fluids, Returned to reception to be told hotel was full so would get a refund.
After booking an alternative hotel I was informed that the hotel would not refund after all. I have been in conversation with hotels.com regarding this but still no refund weeks later. Disgusting.
If you want a reception manager who is a liar, a room with a stained sofabed and no service whatsoever, this is the place to go.

Rang this property to tell them I’m a night worker so will be arriving late. The receptionist refused to check me in or allocate a room for me and also never even bothered to pass the message on so I was put down as a no show. When checking out they couldn’t print me a receipt but promised to send it. They never did. I have rang them 3 times for this receipt and given them 2 different email addresses and still I have no receipt. Shocking service.

A rather disappointing check in as i was asked. for payment . I had already paid
Then i was informed by the hotels app that checkin was 1500 hrs .
We arrived at the hotel at 15.30 to be told the room was not ready . We were told to have. a drink in the bar .When. i asked how long it would be they said they would call housekeeping . While the receptionist was ringing a member of the room attendant s turned up at reception. The room was ready .
Apart from the disturbing check in everything else was fine .
