This hotel is as good as it gets. They have great service across the board from the front desk to the shuttle people. All are friendly and actively helpful. On top of this they are gifted with a great location for the pier from which our cruise left. One of the most problem free hotels we'd ever been at in this mix of hotel and pier. They also shuttle you to local area restaurants that are great. And we were able to keep our vehicle there for the time we were on our cruise until we got back. Perfect.

We were so very pleasantly surprised at the service we received. Elia, the driver who picked us up at the airport, offered to take us to dinner and pick us up, bc there was no restaurant close by. We felt this was above & beyond normal service. They couldn’t have been nicer!

Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, bed super comfortable. Right next to highway but good soundproofing so did not affect my sleep. Free shuttle to Old Town and to airport—both timely and easy to schedule. I loved my stay here !!

The hotel is nice and the staff were all friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. Our only complaint was the noise above us and in the hallway.

It was nice they charge me $20.00 extra for parking I bought from a third party but for the price they ask not worth it pillows not comfy.

I was greeted by delightful Art at the front desk. But it went downhill from there. Getting to my room in a separate building was difficult. I was stunned when I entered the room. I’ve never been in such a small and stuffy room. It was San Diego in August and the a/c was off! Room was freakishly small. Felt very uncomfortable

I think this is the first negative review I have left on Expedia. I booked with holiday inn as it is a consistent hotel chain. Stayed last night and our room smelled like cat pee. We complained and they offered to move us but I have just had surgery and didn’t want to pack up everything. They said to speak to the manager in the morning. Housekeeping came into the room and confirmed the smell (with argument but did after) 8 am turned into 9, 9:30, manager will call you. I have now sat on hold for 20 minutes and was told she will call me. They are avoiding dealing with my unhappy stay and I wouldn’t have have to deal with this if they would have had the room clean and a strong odor removed.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the hotel is even walking distance from Old Town. We didn't really eat the breakfast - just grabbed coffee - because we had other plans, but it looked to have a great selection of food.

has been 2 weeks and no deposit refund contact them firs they said 3 days second contact they said after 5 days 3rd contact they said my bank i contact my bank they said deposit not realeased also property is next to major highway all you hear is road noise and very expensive close to 1000$ for 2 days not worth it for this hotel

Friendly courteous staff will go out of their way to assist guest, Stuttle service is excellent and accommodating. Old Town area is exceptional. Defiantly stay here.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and was clean. My room window was right next to the freeway. Rush hour traffic on the freeway woke me up early.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Old Town San Diego was excellent. Our rooms were very clean. The Housekeeping staff are very courteous and kind. The Front Desk staff are very helpful and friendly. The shuttle drivers are AWESOME! Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make our stay a wonderful experience. Thank You All!

We had a great stay to go to a baseball game in San Diego. It was an easy check in with Art. A very nice welcoming man. A perk at the hotel is parking and EV Charging station. Breakfast was great for a simple bagel, coffee, eggs, sausage and fruit type of deal. They also shuttle you to old town, which is about half a mile away.

I had to book a last minute hotel stay here because my first hotel I booked was in an unsafe area and had no parking available. So i canceled my stay there. When I go to this hotel I was early and exhausted. I needed to vent everything that I had gone through with my first hotel and the staff that checked me in were extremely nice. They let me check in early, waved the underground parking fee, and upgraded my room for free. I wound definitely stay here again next time I am down in that area.
