Good option near to all the turistic places

quite far from main railway station.

The staff was super helpful and spoke several languages. They held our luggage while we explored Florence and helped us get to know the area. Would definitely recommend, especially for families.

The place had everything we need. The room was spacious and the crew were very helpful and cooperative. The breakfast was superb. It has everything thing you need to start your day. Florence is a walkable city and the hotel gives you that as it is very close to the santa maria novella train station and the most glorious museums and landmarks.

This hotel is about 25 mins walk from firenze train station.A fair distance from the major attractions.. Academia Gallery was about 5 mins walk. The hotel is on the second floor of the building .It was quite dated, the carpets were distasteful and full of stains. It was airconditioned but we had to keep asking to lower the temperature down to our liking as they kept putting it to 22 deg. The rooms were spacious, beds and pillows were comfortable, fairly clean but the shower was poorly designed as it kept flooding the whole bathroom everytime we used it. The breakfast was sufficient to start the day with. There isn't a lot of dining options close to the hotel...I would say you can get a better option for the price we paid to stay tbere...

Nice breakfast in all of Italy. The breakfast area was small, and it was hard to find places to sit. Close to places. .

Omar & Ellio are very customer experience focus, they are so nice. The hotel has a fantastic air condition, breakfast and tourist information. The room is small but enought for a couple. We can walk to the main attractions, restaurants and bars. I will return to the same hotel. Quality, people, food and experience vs price 10/10.

Beautiful roof top area to look around and well maintained flowers. Air conditioning was down but the men working on it didn’t give up and eventually did get it going…. Breakfast was very nice with a lot of options. Location was a bit away from train that I took from the airport… I should have gotten a cab to make it easy on myself.

Walking distance to the tourist attractions. You need to have cash to pay the city tax. They do not accept card or bank transfers. Bathroom is small and the lights in the bathroom are away from the shower. It looked old. But it was clean. It wasn't bad as some of the reviews said. The breakfast buffet was very good. There was a shower gel, soap and a dryer.

The staff were very helpful in offering food recommendations and calling us a taxi. The location was also very convenient for walking to the main attractions. And the daily breakfast was very convenient and got us ready for the day.

Good breakfast for the price and located in a nice quiet area but still short walk to everywhere. If your room is facing the inner yard or is in the lower floor you will have a really nice view, unfortunately mine was facing a terrace with only view to a worker doing stuff right behind my window. I would definitely stay again but would ask for another room. My bathroom had beautiful tiles under a horribly bad painted gold paint which was peeling off the walls. I wish they would have kept the original design. But it was clean so it only hurt my eyes.

Simpel but great. The staff was perfectly service minded, helpful and kind. Breakfast was better than we imagined.

The AC wasn’t working on the first day. Staff refused to move me to another room until I had to fight it. Then the key lock didn’t work - this was 3 am and the Staff couldn’t open the door with the master key. They had to move me to another room to sleep until the next morning. I requested the refund but was refused. Nice and clean facility but the service was horrible.

This was a great, convenient hotel. Great service, good air conditioning, and also a nice sized room and bathroom (see pictures). Only a mile to the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Supermarket at the end of the block and easy to get a taxi (they don't really use Uber as much here) to the airport.

Great for the price

Garden Blue is a very nice hotel with friendly hotel staff and good size rooms although the bright orange curtains are a bit much!! It is quiet and convenient for Galleria Acamadia and The Duomo. The roof garden and outside terrace are really lovely with beautiful plants and flowers and a huge television screen in reception /lounge which was great for the Euros. The television in our rooms as with most European hotels are too high up on the wall so i had a sore neck most nights having watched the euros and wimbledon tennis 2024. Also an English speaking news channel would be a good idea. The breakfast is amazing with loads of choice and delicious food. So thanks to Garden Blue in Florence and will come back and recommend it to anyone.

Could not sleep the whole night, AC was promised but was not working on the whole second floor. Room was above 30 degrees, felt like we were in sleeping in a sauna. Tried to bring this up with staff but they did not move us to a room with working AC and also refused to provide any compensation for it. One of the guys at the reception was quite nice and gave useful information about activities in florence.

The hotel offered a simpler standard than expected, with an acceptable breakfast but nothing extra. At check-in, we were informed that the city tax had to be paid in cash. We didn’t have cash, so we paid 36 Euros the next day, but didn’t get a receipt—a mistake on our part. Two days later, at check-out, we were asked to pay the tax again, now with card payments accepted. I explained we had already paid and left. Later, my husband returned to retrieve his sunglasses and was asked again to pay the tax. He reiterated it was already paid. That evening, I received a message from the hotel’s management, accusing me of not paying the tax and threatening to report me for fraud. I responded with details of the payment, but they claimed inconsistencies and maintained we hadn’t paid. They said they would review surveillance footage and later sent a brief apology but didn’t address my questions about the payment method discrepancy. This treatment was completely unacceptable. I felt insulted and violated. From previous reviews, it seems the hotel has engaged in similar behavior before. I cannot recommend this accommodation due to their unfriendly and accusatory treatment. If you choose to stay here, ensure you receive a receipt for any payment. I have contacted Hotels.com and filed a complaint about this incident

Great location, very helpful staff

The location is great. In walking distance to most of attractions and train station. The employees are all very nice and polite and informative. Specially Omar which gave us excellent advice about tours and attractions and made our visit memorable.The breakfast area always clean. Good breakfast. It has lovely terrace and rooftop . Specially the rooftop with lovely flowers and a beautiful view of Florence cathedral. Our room was nice and clean . Overall I recommend this place . I can only suggest if they can a few pictures of Florence and Italy attractions on the room and corridors wall to make it more cheerful and a cattle and some teabags also would be nice . We had a lovely stay and I definitely recommend the place .

This property was a 10 minute walk from most of the sights in Florence and the staff was helpful an accommodating.

I loved that the property was easily within walking distance to the sights we wanted to see. It was quite noisy in the evenings. It’s just a basic hotel, but very conveniently located.

It’s an okay place!

There is a window separating the two bathrooms, but a large open space between them allows me to see reflections from the other bathroom and hear the guests talking as if they were in the same room.

Chipped painted walls, inconvenient wifi, noisy/no installation, etc.

Staff were so nice. Wrote all over a map and gave us directions of the things to see and the route to take. Very helpful

Everything was within a 20-30 minute walk. Front desk was very helpful in giving suggestions for both touristy things and dining options. A little noisy but honestly didnt mind it. Wifi was almost non existing my room but as soon as i got to the door it was great. Terrace on the second floor was great too. Great bang for your buck overall.

Pillows were terrible. Room was very small. Front door all metal like a prison. Other area were excellent like the Reception Area, BF or Kitchen area. Staff were friendly @ efficient.

Very clean and unique hotel, the staff was wonderful, very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was really nice.

When I first saw the property, I was shocked….it’s one of those weird art deco places and I thought it was just so poorly kept up. I still don’t like the design, but they had an excellent A/C, breakfast was fine with fresh fruits, cheese, eggs, etc. The hotel was in short walking distance to a safe and great laundry and was in short walking distance to the Duomo, Accademia, Medici Chapel, etc. There were two restaurants that we great…one was Napoli pizza, the other was a couple of doors down and was packed. It had writing all over the walls, but was over the top amazing food. This latter one was a little pricy, but I would have eaten there a second time if I hadn’t discovered it on my last night in Firenza. The area was on the outskirts enough that it was very quiet. I did request taxis to the train station for a trip to Siena and a last minute tour of the other side of Arno, as I hadn’t planned that part well and ran out of time due to taking a day to Siena. We were so close to Medici Chapel that We saw it the morning we left and no crowds! I was thrilled. Out of 5 times of going to Florence/Firenza, that was a first time, and no crowds!
