A lovely small hotel right in the centre, close to all shops,restaurants etc. Perfect if you travel alone, very safe and quiet. In fact there were several solo ladies staying while I was there. Fully recommend.

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and goes out of their way. The cold breakfast is excellent and plentiful and I loved it. The hotel is minutes from the Center and Cheltenham is centrally located for day trips to nearby cities.

Overall the stay was nice, but the room could do with a bit of a spricenup. The walls had visible marks on walls, the bathroom was small but the bed was very comfortable. The windows didn’t stop noise from the birds/seagulls which seem to hang around behind this location. The garden was nice and the breakfast room was bright and open.

This accommodation was for a short stay in Cheltenham. The accommodation was in an excellent location for the shops and local amenities. The accommodation had a good homely feel, staff were friendly & informative. Breakfast was adequate with a good European variety of foods & drinks.

However I had booked a single room, and I do not feel it was made clear online or during booking that the single room came with a separate bathroom which was across a landing from the room itself. I wouldn't have booked it otherwise. And for the price, that feels unfair. It's described as having a 'private bathroom' which I did not understand to mean 'separate bathroom'. Perhaps I was being naive. However, apart from this the stay was excellent. Fast check in, very welcoming, brilliant breakfast and nicely done room with lovely carpet.

Greeted upon arrival but no name given, daughter had to ask, out of the 3 people we saw not one introduced themselves. Amelia helped carry bags to our room and ensured we checked in smoothly, on street car parking booked etc and gave us a list of local eateries when asked. First day breakfast was limited (no jams, only 2 slices of white bread left) but everything was clearly labelled and allergens highlighted. Tea tray in our room was not replenished and I asked for more milk in the room as, luckily, my daughter had brought her own teabags. Days 2 and 3 breakfast were much better for availability. Room was clean and a good size (online picture made it look smaller than it actually was), beds were comfortable, bathroom was a decent size. Bedroom was at the rear of the property so not much noise. On street parking was a bit of a problem, lucky to find a space and had to park at the top of the street well away from The Abbey. Surrounding area was a little run down but we used The Abbey as a base for exploring the Cotswolds. Would stay here again
