The accommodation is beautiful with a nice patio in front of each room. The view from the rooms and the breakfast patio is incredible! We had a perfect stay here and Gunarathna was the perfect host! He was so helpful in helping us with our plans and was absolutely kind. The breakfast was delicious and we can’t imagine a better place in Ella than Blooming Rose!

The kindness of the owner is really incredible. Always ready to explain Things, give tips, show you the unbelievable wildlife you can see from your room Terrace and ready to give you a ride to town or further! Very good breakfast with stunning views.

Little guest house perched on the hillside overlooking a beautiful valley with a waterfall. The most incredible view I have ever seen - it felt like waking up in a fairytale. Every room has a perfect view. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and attentive staff. Breakfast was local and varied from day to day. I would highly recommend Blooming Rose.

Absolutely beautiful place with an incredible waterfall view and wonderful service. Comfortable room, nice shower and a beautiful balcony. Breakfast was great - 6 different kinds of fruit - with an unbeatable view. The proprietor is very helpful and will tuk tuk you and your bags and then help carry bags down the stairs to the lodging.

We loved our stay here. Above all, the host was the best, super attentive and more than kind! When we arrived, the host was waiting with his Tuk tuk up at the street to pick us up, as the road down to the accommodation isn’t the best to drive on with a car. We once did a sunrise tour to little adams peak and our host woke up at 5:00am just for us to bring us nearby the trail. Also, the views were stunning, we saw the sunrise/-set, a waterfall and the lush jungle from the platform. We enjoyed a very tasty sri lankan breakfast.

Our host was exceptional, he could not have done more for us. We were too tired to go down to the town for dinner, so he took one of our party down in his tuk tuk and showed him the best restaurants for takeaways. Then he went to his own house next door and brought us plates and cutlery. In the morning he ferried us down to the train. The view from our balconies and the deck area were breathtaking, the beds really comfortable, the rooms spotless, and there are lots of thoughtful touches like plug adapters and lovely soap. We'll definitely stay there again.

Es gibt wohl kaum einen schöneren Anblick am Morgen mit diesem Panorama! Dazu die sehr freundlichen Betreiber, die ein ausgezeichnetes und vielseitiges Frühstück zubereiten. Das Zimmer ist schön und geräumig, das Bad etwas in die Tage gekommen und der eigene Balkon ist der Hammer!

Man muss wissen, dass die Unterkunft ca 150m unterhalb der Hauptstrasse ist wovon nochmals 30m über eine Treppe zu erreichen ist. D.h. man kann nicht mit dem TukTuk direkt zur Unterkunft fahren, sondern nur bis zur Treppe (was mich nicht gestört hat).

The view was unique. You can see the little adams peek and the Ella rock while having breakfast. Furthermore there are lots of beautiful birds around. The breakfast was delicious too. If you stay here you should definitively spend some time going to Ella organic tea garden!

Die Aussicht war einfach ein Highlight unserer ganzen Reise, wunderschön und atemberaubend!!! Und die liebsten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann. Die Fahrt mit dem Tuk Tuk in den Ort ist sogar kostenlos, ein super Service. Zurück kostet es ja auch nicht viel, daher kein Problem! Das Frühstück war auch super und man kann viele lustige Tiere beobachten. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Paradiesische Aussicht auf einen Wasserfall, little Adams peak und Ella Rock. Außerdem kann eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Vögeln beobachtet werden. Der Besitzer und seine Frau sind auch sehr warmherzige und freundliche Menschen. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Ein riesiges Highlight der Unterkunft ist die tolle Terrasse! Von dieser hat man einen atemberaubenden Ausblick über die Berge. Der Sonnenaufgang kann direkt von der Terrasse aus beobachtet werden, auf welcher auch das Frühstück serviert wird. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, typisch und abwechslungsreich. Sogar die Affen fanden wohl das Frühstück sehr gut, welche uns zum Ende hin besucht hatten. Der Besitzer ist wirklich nett! Er hat uns in die Innenstadt gebracht und uns auch zum Zug zum Schluss gebracht.

Der letzte kurze Abschnitt zum Hotel ziemlich steil und nur mit Tut Tut also nicht mit Auto machbar. Von dort aus sind es noch einige Stufen abwärts bis zur Unterkunft. Das Zimmer und Bad sind sehr einfach, aber nichtsdestotrotz sehr sauber.

This was a fantastic place to stay in Ella, with the most beautiful views and an incredibly helpful host. The owner drove us into town for dinner in his tuk tuk and picked us up from the station. They also provided a laundry service for us. The breakfast was delicious and it was fun to see a big squirrel up close. The room was great, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. Beers on the balcony at sunset were a real treat! Would highly recommend as a place to stay in Ella.

Amazing view and fantastic host. He helped us arranging a bunch of day activities and was very helpful. Breakfast in the morning was nice and the view made it unique.

We loved staying here. The view from our rooms and balcony was incredible. The hosts were so kind and friendly, taking us into town and back in their Tuktuk for free, serving the most delicious pancakes for breakfast, and seeing a friendly squirrel come up for fruit to terrace. Highly recommended

Views are absolutely stunning - you can see so much plus a waterfall & railway. The owners are super lovely & helpful. Breakfast is unreal and the husband has a tuktuk which he is happy to drop you off places in. 20min walk into Ella along the railway.

The only negative would be you can’t walk here in the evening as it is quite remote.
