The location and view were perfect. The landscaping and building accents were lovely.

The location was within walking distance of Old Town park, museums and all the wonderful restaurants. The room was comfortable and gave us the ability to eat in our room. The water filler made it easy to keep refilling our water bottles.
The decor is a little outdated.

We had breakfast on the last day. the breakfast at the restaurant was great. our second night at the hotel was good. the pool area was nice and clean. The hotel staff were so nice and helpful.
the first night, we found bed bugs in the room. I woke up at 1 am to bites all over my arm and neck. The office staff were so helpful. All though the hotel was fully booked, they made accommodations for us and move us to another room with in the hour. I am so grateful to the gentleman who worked the front desk. he got us out of that infested room quick. He gave us breakfast vouchers for us to use that morning, but due to us having to check the new room for bugs and making sure it was safe for us to sleep in the bed, we did get to sleep in to the morning hours. so we missed the free breakfast.

Very close to Old Town. Could walk there from the hotel.
Rooms were very outdated. Furniture was old and had actual holes in places. The room was dreary, the bathroom outdated, the USB port didn’t work, the clock wasn’t even plugged in, everything very old. Even the bedspreads and mattresses were old and uncomfortable. The hotel was nice from the outside, but the rooms were very small and in need of upgrading. Very disappointed and won’t stay there again.

Bed was not very comfortable. The area outside our room was extremely noisy. The cleaning ladies carts were so loud!

Dam teenagers woke us up and scared my wife she ran to the bathroom scared they slammed something against the door I called the front desk and security guards were taking too some of them upstairs but besides that we love staying there

I love the location we have stayed several times before over the years but this stay was not great
The room had an awful smell, the TV didn’t work and when we called front desk they said the person who fixes things wasn’t in. So we didn’t have a television all weekend.

The elevators are slow. There was no ice in any of the ice machines. The vending machines took my cash and charged my card and did not release the items I paid for.

Parking and trying to locate our room was like a scavenger hunt. The room was totally overpriced for what you got. I was told I was going to have a jacuzzi tub room. I had a regular shower??? And the worst part of all was the bed. We probably were lucky if we got 3 hours of sleep. Was not happy with our stay!
Overpriced for what I was suppose to have gotten. Did not get the oversized bathtub I booked?? The bed was horribly uncomfortable! Hardly slept.

nice room, cute facility! We love vintage everything so this really met our expectations.
the people in the room next to us had a dog in their room. They allowed the dog to poop out in the common area (near the outside tables for guests) it was there for a whole day, and no one picked it up. We kept having to back & forth near it to get to out room.

The location was fine for exploring the San Diego Old Town area. The pool was a decent size. It was close, walking distance, to lots of restaurants, bars, and shops which is nice. It was walking distance to San Diego Old Town Historic Park which was a plus.
The carpeting in the room had several stains on it so even if it was cleaned prior to our stay, it gave a sensation of being an unclean room. The valve for the shower did not work properly and the door did not always open cleanly on the third and fourth day of our stay. The pool was heated which was wonderful but the thermostat needed to be turned down about five degrees. It was like taking a swim in the spa/jacuzzi. When checking out, we informed front desk about the shower, door, and pool.

the location is great. super close to trains and in the middle of old town.
it just didn’t feel worth the value. there were some gnats and mosquitoes, but not sure if that’s unavoidable at the beach.

Nice staff. Which room will be nicer, more cleaner and more up to date. The room smell like chemicals, outdated, sheets felt rough. We stay once a year in this hotel. Hasn’t changed, referring to the rooms! Great area.

Meals were great and conveniently around the corner. Very handy. Location is great! We stayed here once before and really liked it. So went for a second time. Would probably return a third time.
Other people staying there were loud at night. But it stopped at a decent time. Hot water was not real hot just warm.
