Terrible service - I went in to cancel booking as the place was under construction- they proceeded to tell me my booking is through third party (which is fine) but the third party told me that they have to contact the hotel …… the hotel then told booking.com to charge me
My mother had Brain cancer- months to live and I specefically booked into this hotel for the balcony and none off the balcony rooms were even available-
Ended up staying at millennium which was $100 cheaper and bloody excellence service .
Disappointed - I am a motel owner In Tauranga and I would have never charged especially with all the construction going on

Good location
Bed is extremely firm. There is a fan or AC noise that is going all night that can't be turned off.

Breakfast was great. Room was spacious, well equipped, warm and very clean. Location next to the lake, the Polynesian spa and a short walk from the events centre was spot on.

Handy to the start of the Rotorua Marathon. Lovely room, lovely staff.
There were long, dark hairs on the carpet in the hallway, next to the bathroom and on the edge of the bathroom tiles. I have very short hair. Just sloppy vacuum cleaning.

Awesome location, great staff, good facilities.
Stains on the sheets, mildew/mould in crevices of the bathroom (not from sulphur), hairs of previous guests in bathroom.

The location was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always greeting us enthusiastically as we passed through. The Easter egg hunt was a fun addition for our kids during our Easter Weekend stay.
The shower was awful, there was nothing to stop the water from overflowing out into the main bathroom area (even after trying to use rolled up towels to stop the overflow) leaving us with a large pool of water in front of the toilet and bathroom vanity area. This was incredibly frustrating to work around. The daily room service left more to be desired - we returned to find that only a very rough vacuum job had been done and nothing else (no wiping down of any surfaces (which clearly needed to be wiped), no beds made, toilet wasn't cleaned, etc).

The location was good and walking distance to Polynesian spa plus great lake views.
I was expecting the hotel quality to be like Sudima hotel in Auckland but it was far from that. It is due for renovation - old carpets, non functioning heat pump (good thing they have the old school radiator in the room), bathroom tiles got heaps of grout, old and untidy shower at the pool area, and pool temperature felt not heated.

ツインの部屋。300部屋あるということで、庭を通って部屋へ。USBジャックが部屋に無く、オークランドのホテルに忘れてきたので、スマホの充電ができなくて困っている旨を告げると、TVの背面にあるUSBポートのことを教えてくれた（笑）知りませんでした。部屋まできて説明してくれました。スタッフはみんな感じがいい
バスタブがふるいのかドレーンが古く、しっかり押さえこまないとはまらなかった。

Sudima Hotel was perfect and the location was excellent as it was next to the lake and Polynesia spa and not too far from the city center. The rooms were alright but it met our expectations as a family. The lounge/ restaurant was excellent and when talking together at night sitting on the couch and drinking the drinks was excellent.
