Great hosts— welcoming, thoughtful (everything we needed), very easy to communicate with.
The house is lovely and clean. The property has so much to do that we only scratched the surface. We all wish we could have stayed longer.

This property could not have fit our group any better (3 adults, 2 kids). While we spent most of our days very active in the area- hiking, rafting, exploring, this was the perfect place to unwind at the end of our long days. We took full use of the hiking trails, hot tub, fire pit, theater, etc. Hosts were nearby and easily reached, but we never had to bother them, as the house (mokki) was fully furnished and didn't need one thing. Easy 10-12 minutes into Golden for groceries, meals, etc. Had a bonus of meeting Claire on the last day in passing, and an extra bonus of sighting an adult black bear on the property as we were packing the car to leave. HIGHLY recommend this spot for your adventures!

This really is such a short hop into Golden, we were glad we stayed out here instead of right in the middle of town. It was very peaceful and the views were just fantastic. The hot tub and the privacy were hard to beat!
The kitchen had everything we needed (including most condiments!) and the raclette made for a really fun evening! We didn't think the traditional raclette meal was for us - so we did steak and chicken, along with bacon and onions and swiss cheese on open faced buns. It was delicious, and a very filling meal with a few sides.
There were only 4 of us staying, and I will say that the "bed" options in the living rooms would not be ideal for couples - but perfectly fine for kids or maybe singles. The house is lived-in and comfortable, with everything we needed to enjoy the place - there are games and a big jigsaw, movies and even flip flops for the hot tub! This is a cozy, peaceful place to unwind and they have thought of everything!

We had such a relaxing stay here for the weekend. Location is easy to get to and the hosts went over and above to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The home is very well appointed and they've thought of everything you could possibly need. We appreciated all the little notes to make it easy for us to find things and know how everything works. Magical stay in the mountains
Right from the start, Claire & Matt made us feel very welcome . They are on site to help you with any of your questions or needs. They provided us with a variety of trail suggestions and restaurants. Even offering some of their personal space for a special occasion. Super friendly and very helpful. My family had a lot of space in their home to accommodate 4 adults. Beautiful home. Outstanding views from pretty much every room in the house. Lots of trails, games and fires were had every day. Close to town. In quiet seclusion
We were here with four adults and a five-year-old boy and our small family felt very comfortable here!
What we have always admired and enjoyed: the view! Whether from the couch, from the dining table, from the bedroom or from the hot tub - simply calming and wonderful! We did several snowshoe hikes with the snowshoes provided and had a lot of fun doing it.
Communication with Claire & Matt, whether pre-trip or on-site, has always been prompt and helpful. It was nice to have been in your house and a perfect holiday end for us - thank you very much!

Magnificent stay at Moonraker Mountain Mokki!!
Mokki is beautifully located in a rural setting close to Golden and Kicking Horse. Hosts Matt and Claire were great to communicate with and their house has so many special touches that we felt completely at home. The fireplace and hot tub were big hits after a day of ski and the entertainment room was pretty unique. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back. Thanks again!!!

Amazing place to stay
A short drive from Golden, Claire and Matt's place was an amazing winter getaway. Communication clear and speedy throughout, and the hospitality was second to none, with some treats and drinks left for us, use of snowshoes offered even though we had our own! Claire and Matt give ample privacy, but also make themselves available and present. The house is well equipped, extremely clean, and the hot tub with views was a highlight. We hope to be back, and would recommend it in a heartbeat to anyone.

Magical stay
My family and I just spent 4 magical nights here in Golden over Christmas. Lovely views, cozy fire and more snowshoeing than you could do in a lifetime. Our hosts Claire and Matt went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They even had a Christmas tree set up for us with Christmas decorations all around the house. Needless to say, we will be back!

Relaxing Retreat
We enjoyed our stay. The house had a great view and the location was good. We had a visit from a doe and her fawn as we ate dinner one night! Claire was an excellent host, quick to reply and handle any questions but still giving us privacy. We fished in the nearby river and enjoyed the recommended hiking trails. The air conditioning is only on the main floor and had trouble keeping up, however there were plenty of fans as well, and we happened to have 30^C weather, so it probably wouldn’t be an issue any other time. Overall, a satisfactory place to stay!

Manitoba Girls trip
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. We were a group of 7 women and never felt crowded in the house at all. Lots of rooms and spaces to live in. LOVED the screened in deck in the evenings. Claire (the owner) was absolutely wonderful to deal with and would definitely come back here again. Many of the ladies said the house felt like home, and would also look at booking it if they were coming this way again. Thanks Claire!!!

We have stayed at a variety of Vrbo’s this one was great for families, because there was, washer and dryer, separate places to enjoy movies, games, relaxing outside either in the hot tub, fire pit, or screened in porch. Great stay In Golden!
The house was very comfortable for two! We spent our relaxing time looking out the living room windows enjoying the mountain and wildlife views. The master bedroom was comfortable with another excellent view. It was quiet. The kitchen was well stocked with all that we needed to make meals. It took about 1.5 hrs to get to Lake Louise but worth the trip. Thanks Claire and Liam for a great stay.

Perfect place to get away
My wife, daughter (under 1 yr), and I spent several nights here while making our way around the Canadian Rockies. The house and property were everything we expected and a little more. First, the house was very clean and very well maintained. We met the owner the first day who was incredibly kind and welcoming (including a nice welcome present). She showed us around, made recommendations on where to eat, and more.
The property was quiet with several animals (mostly deer) that milled about during various times of the day and the hot tub was perfect for late night star gazing. The trails off of the property are good for hiking and even better for some fantastic mountain biking. Make sure to check out the trail that overlooks the canyon.
The patios were nice to sit and relax on while watching the sunset on the mountain range, and the theater room was great for a late night movie or video game.The house is outside of town but still incredibly close - honestly, it seemed like the perfect distance to get away but still close enough to pick up dinner or run to the grocery store if we were cooking. It was the perfect jumping off spot to go into the various national parks and explore for the day.
Overall, I give this place two thumbs up and would certainly recommend it to any traveller.

Great location - super comfortable
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Claire was most welcoming. She has achieved a nice balance between keeping the place uncluttered yet still having anything and everything you would want in the house. We (family - five adults) cooked in both nights, enjoyed wine and beer in the hot tub after a day in the Bugaboos and slept well in very comfortable beds. Does it get better? Well, there's access to world class mountain biking 100m down the road....no loading bikes onto racks to get out and have some fun. Comfortable gathering areas, inside and outside. Great for a family or friend get-together. We'll be back - and we'll all bring our bikes next time.

Hi, we have absolutely nothing to say but good words for our 3 nights stay at this clean and fully stocked property. Located in a quiet neighborhood while not being too secluded, with lots of room to walk on the acreage and direct access to the hiking / biking trails directly against the property line. Very confortable with the heated floors, cozy place and a nice blend of modern type and cabin type living. What more could you ask for! Definitely recommends.
