Flying Monkey Mesa -Near Zion National Park

We really enjoyed staying at this house. Our trip was specifically for Zion National Park and this house was located only about 20 minutes from the entrance, so it was perfect! We loved relaxing on the couch in the living room with the huge windows and taking in the view! I would definitely book this home again!

The house was the perfect size for our group! It is nicely decorated and furnished. It has a nice big dining table! We used all the the beds-including the futon. The futon was not very nice, and it was hard to find good bedding to put on it. The property management company was difficult to contact, and the links they sent me for early check-in and late check-out did not work. My biggest issue was that there were mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. That was hard to get over.

Well appointed, roomy house with lovely view, nice landscaping, and good usable space in the back yard. The open plan kitchen has everything you need and flows nicely to the eating and living spaces. One improvement might be to add screens to doors and/or windows for fresh air. We enjoyed our stay very much!

We had a pleasant stay and were satisfied with everything except the cookware provided. The pots and pans were in very poor condition, with badly scratched Teflon and warped bottoms that didn’t work well on the convection range. The supply of towels and wash cloths could have been more generous especially since very little laundry detergent was provided. The home is very clean, nicely decorated and as attractive as pictured. Lovely shower in the master bath!

Flying Monkey Mesa is a beautiful property with a lot more room than the four of us required. (It can easily accommodate another 4 people) The picture window living room is gorgeous. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen one night and had a great barbecue dinner at Lonnie's in Hurricane another. Zion was an easy 20 minutes away. Zion itself and Springdale are crazy busy though. Stayed here two nights will visiting Zion. The house is large and clean and located in a very convenient location. The kitchen is well stocked and views from the family room are great. There are a few restaurants in Virgin and we went to the Cactus Room twice. Great food and you get to meet Bob! Try the burgers. It’s nice being away from the craziness of Zion and if you want to go to town for more shopping and restaurants LaVerkin/Hurricane area is close by for groceries etc.

The home is in a great spot to visit Zion and surrounding areas. We had plenty of space to relax after a long day of hiking at the canyon. And the views in the morning and evening added to the experience. We definitely enjoyed our time here.

Location was a very convenient & short drive to Zion national park. All the perks of being close but being in a quiet neighborhood perfect for star gazing. Only had 3 people with us but this would be optimal for a larger family to stay. Tons of space and plenty of extra towels, pillows, etc. Very clean on the inside as well. Beautiful views from the living room. Overall the pictures don’t do this property justice. Much larger and more beautiful in person.

This house was as advertised. Very well stocked and clean. Excellent views. It was close to the park and other major attractions. It was nice that they had a great outside eating area along with a gas grill and outdoor fire pit. It was disappointing that the hot tub was not working and also the dishwasher had problems. Overall very nice place and would stay here again.

We rented this house to be close to a larger family gathering near Springdale, but still have our own quiet space to come back to. Plus, it’s really close to some mountain bike trails I wanted to check out. The house was clean and actually larger than the pics made it seem. Being able to park in the garage was a major plus. As with any rental there were a few little things that could be improved, but I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely home with killer views
We enjoyed the house with the personal art, gorgeous wood floors, furnishings and killer views! The dishwasher did not appear to be hooked up and the yard is in need of some serious maintanance. The hot tub was not available and the master bath toilet has an issue of running continually.
Other than those few things, we really enjoyed our stay at the Monkey Mesa House.

The place lived up to its description. Very convenient to Zion park and the reservoir. Excellent beds made for great sleeping and the fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook some meals together. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Stay
We had a wonderful stay here. Right from booking everything was very smooth. Kendall was very responsive in all communication and very helpful. This property is managed by Evolve Properties and they provide useful information about the area, check in, check out etc. before arrival which is very helpful. The home itself is very nice. It was very clean and as described in the listing. The kitchen is very well stocked. The picture windows in the living room are gorgeous with beautiful view of the mesa. A very quite location and about 20 min drive to the ZIon National Park. There is not much to do in Virgin but Springdale (outside the national park gate) has plenty of dining and shopping options. This is an excellent place to relax after long day/s at the park. I would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again.

We chose this house because of the hot tub, but a few days before our stay, we were informed the hot tub was not functional. It was obviously too late to cancel and find a place with another hot tub. Although the house was lovely, I am disappointed.

Zion Hiking trip & Virgin VRBO
This was a nice roomy house with beautiful mountain & mesa views. We were 3 ladies on a girl's get away hiking trip & the property suited our needs very well with separate bedrooms for all of us & two full baths . The bathrooms were nicely stocked with toiletries & there was a good selection of trail guide books. It was a short 15 minutes ride into Zion National Park. Two grocery stores in Springdale have whatever you might need & plenty of shopping & restaurants there as well. The owners left notes on places to try. We enjoyed the Whiptail & Bit & Spur. We also picked up some firewood at a campground and enjoyed star gazing in the spacious backyard. Next time it would be great if the hot tub was working but we knew ahead of time that it was out of order. We will enjoy coming back to this location if we do another Zion trip. We gave 4/5 stars only because there was no coffee pot to go with the coffee maker & the cleaning crew hadn't emptyied the dishwasher & dryer of clean dishes & blankets. Otherwise it would have been a 5/5 stay.

We thought this was a great place to stay; very convenient to the south entrance to Zion and large windows looking out onto the desert and large rocks nearby. Rooms were spacious and the large room with the ensuite was extremely nice. Minor things, but I think there could be more lamps in the rooms and decor in the room downstairs. Would also be nice to have bathroom hooks for towels. All in all though, it was a great place to stay and I would go there again.

Wonderful views!!
The house is very spacious! Our family of five (my spouse and I, kids ages 5,6 and 12)had plenty of room to relax after hiking all day in Zion. Very clean, and well equipped kitchen if you’re planning on cooking. Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy the backyard because of the cold, we aren’t used to being in those temps in SoCal. The backyard has an amazing view of the mesa, so do the living room windows of the surrounding area. The introduction to the house left by the host is informative and info/maps on Zion and surrounding canyons was also available for guests. Overall an excellent rental, we will be back!

Great spot
Overall great! There were some small items that would have made it even better such as an unused kitchen sponge and towels without bleach marks. There were a string of ants in the kitchen and a little puddle of water on the floor when we arrived too. The water did not come back after being wiped up so no big deal there, though the ants were present throughout the week.
Still a great, central location and a comfortable, spacious place to rest our legs after miles of hiking in beautiful Zion! We WOULD return!
