gorgeous location looking over the lake. staff very helpful in all ways and when we had a problem they did solve it see below.

not licenced !!! this was NOT mentioned in the information and whilst not a major problem as you could but it from outside and bring it in - it would be good to tell people this. the food took a long time to arrive when we ate here and was wrong on two occasions so had to be reheated and sent back. this was done but it was a very long process. not enough staff who were empowered to make decisions. they had to defer to the ‘ manager’ on every request who was the only person who spoke another language. difficulty

The location is great, just a few minute walk to the temple, market, and train station, and it has a nice view of the lake/temple area. The room itself was very nice... spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and we ate dinner here one night, and that was a great meal as well. But the best part was the staff, especially Nalin, who really helped us with some communication barriers on the next step of our trip. Truly a great property!

Parking is tight (and up a steep, narrow 'driveway' of sorts) for anyone driving to the location.

Great location next to the lake and walking distance to the sacred tooth temple. The hotel is a street off the busy lake road providing a quiet nights sleep and great view.

The lodge is in an excellent location with a gorgeous view on Kandy lake. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, clean and comfy. The staff are very helpful also, serve a good breakfast.

it was noisy during the night due to the street under the hotel and not really clean, especially the shower.

Very beautiful rooms and resort in general, great location and view and fantastic people to accommodate your needs. I loved the style which combined rock wood and metal and it was a perfect fit with the lake.

I did not find it as clean as I would expect it. For example the kettle had already water in it and it was a bit rusty so you didn't feel like boiling your water. Also the bedsheets and the cover seemed to have old stains. They may be clean but seeing old stains does not make you feel that they are in fact clean.

Just far enough off the main road for it to be quiet. Great staff. Simple rooms but perfect for me. Easy to walk around lake or to train / bus station. Great breakfast.

A barking dog nearby moat evenings but thats Sri Lanka for you.

The views from our room and the restaurant over the lake was lovely. The upstairs room we had was large and bright and good design. Breakfast was excellent and you are near to town but it still feels relatively quiet being up a small hill from the main road. Very helpful staff organised transport to Kandy Botanical Gardens, which were superb, and the big Buddha on the hill above Kandy with amazing views.

There is building work going on in front of the hotel but they don't start until after 8am and it does not affect the views.

Perfect location, great vegan breakfast (2 different ones, which was nice), the staff was very helpful and nice! We got free tea twice. The room was big and clean. Nice view from the balcony. Would definitely stay again and highly recommended!

Staff was very friendly. Best breakfast we had so far in Sri Lanka with an awesome view. The hotel is located on a hill with a nice view over Kandy. It's a nice place to escape the crowded city.

They forgot to tell us we need to use a switch to get warm water so we weren't able to use the shower. Bathroom needs an update, it could be cleaner.

SWP Eco Lodge is centrally located to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. It is literally a 5 minute walk across the street and so is Kandy Lake. Location is the best part of this hotel, and the friendly staff always willing to help. Our main concern was safety, and we felt safe during our stay. The views of Kandy Lake and the Temple of the Scared Tooth are amazing from our balcony of our room and from the kitchen. This hotel is recommend is highly recommended if coming to see the annual Kandy Perehera.

The rooms need to be updated, and could be more clean. But overall, it was comfortable and nice views of Kandy Lake & the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. We could also see and hear the Kandy Perahera from a distance, which was a very an exceptional experience that we got to enjoy more up-close as well during our trip.

We are from germany and stayed 2 nights in swp eco lodge. The lodge has a great Location with a fantastic view over the lake. You can walk easy to the lake, tooth temple, shopping mall and shops. It is also close to the Train Station. The hotel is a green oasis in the City. The lodge have a modern architecture in tree House Style. We had a big room with a modern bathroom and big terrace with a overlooking view over the lake and the Temple. From the open breakfast room you also have this great view. The people from the Hotel a very friendly and attentiv. They organised a nice tuk tuk driver for us and prepared us water and fruits for our Train Trip to Ella. The breakfast was very nice with fresh juice and fruits. You can choose between Sri lanken breakfast and Intercontinental breakfast. Our stay was perfect. despite the current situation it is very easy to get a tuk tuk or Taxi in kandy. The trains are Running. We saw many european tourists. As a tourist, you are not affected about the crisis

Had a great stay at swp eco lodge. The staff were so friendly and gave lots of tips about the local area and how to get to the train station. The breakfast was amazing, we had the local Sri lankan option. The room was really comfortable and clean. The area was really quiet at night yet only a 5 min walk to the centre of Kandy. Would definitely recommend this place and stay there again.

This was for me the best place we have stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka! It was beautiful decorated and it felt good to be there. The staff is extremely helpful and sweet. The view is so beautiful. Kandy is quite crowded, but in this lodge you feel relaxed.
