Lovely small yacht near Pier 39. Our host, Jeff iand his partner were outstanding.. The accommodations were comfy, cozy, well sticked, and clean. Host was welcoming and took time to orient us about nearby interests. Staying aboard a floating vessel may not be for everyone, but if this style of accommodation is appealing, I highly recommend this property!!

We had a fabulous time staying on the boat! Such a unique experience, right at Pier 39. Jeff did a great job communicating and helping making our stay easy and memorable. He also gave us several excellent dinner and breakfast recommendations.

I was surprised when I received the 'instructions' the day before we arrived. It said the owner preferred us to not use the head. If we did use it we needed to turn on the electrical sewage pump prior to flushing and off after. The electrical panel is in the wheelhouse not the heads (2). They did include instructions and a FOB to allow us access to the Marina's restrooms. It was only a mere 100 meters away. Not the best thing for an urgent need. Other than the 'head' issue it is a great location, a little cramped in the sleeping quarters. Very private and quiet considering the activity at the Pier- massive amounts of people all day.

We spent three nights and had a wonderful time. What a great location…footsteps away from Pier 39. Our vacation plans were a combination of activities but with plans to relax from our busy day to day schedules. These accommodations were perfect for this. We met some great people on the dock and Jeff could not have been more accommodating! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Jeff greeted us onboard to show as the ropes. Location was perfect for us and what we had planned. We slept well with the slow rocking of the boat and even had seals for neighbors. Fantastic experience highly recommended.

First off, Jeff is very friendly and accommodating. Communication was great when I had questions etc. He met us at the boat when we arrived and thoroughly went through how everything worked and explained the Marina amenities.
The boat was great. There were three of us staying and we had adequate space. It is located very conveniently on Pier 39. Lots of restaurants and things to do. There is a CVS and a Safeway nearby if you need anything. The sea lions are on the other side of the pier. We loved going over each morning to watch their antics but we couldn't hear them from the boat which was nice. There's something special about ending the day with a glass of wine on the deck listening to the sounds of the ocean.
We loved our stay on the Lucky Star! I definitely recommend it if you want something out of the ordinary and memorable!

Two Girls and a Yacht
Our first adventure on a berthed yacht was AMAZING! We slept like babies! Location was beyond perfect!! Jeff was a 10 Star host and was there for us every step of the way and even “checked” on us to make sure all was ok. Word of caution: ALWAYS remember to turn the Head pump on before flushing! Haha! Highly recommended and hope to visit again! Thanks Jeff!

Perfect position, host & accommodation, needs nothing else.
Our host Jeff was helpful, kind and friendly. He welcomed us to SF and they was a welcome basket on the yacht. The yacht was in a perfect position close to all the attractions in the city but quiet and private. The yacht was clean and well equipped with good quality bedding.
If we had any questions Jeff was always quick to help us.
I would highly recommend this to my friends.

Best time on Pier 39
Our stay was everything we hoped for. Lots of room for 4 adults. Near everything on Fisherman's Wharf. We slept like babies every night. It was quiet at night. We loved the deck to sit on in the morning with our coffee and at night with a glass of wine. Jeff was amazing meeting us at the dock and calling to make sure everything was going great with our stay. If you are looking for a unique stay this rental has it all. Thank you Jeff.

Interesting option vs a hotel room.
Lucky Star became a unique part of my SF experience, not just a place to sleep.
Location at Pier 39 was perfect for my 5 nights. Sea lions not an issue.
Ideal for one person tho’ sleeps 4.
Each night I looked forward to the forward cabin’s warm comforter and the boat’s motion and sounds. Enjoyed an afternoon nap on the sun-warmed bridge bench.
Toss a few CD’s in your suitcase; nice player there. Very limited TV.
Reconsider if you expect fancy, have lots or big luggage, are tall or claustrophobic or have bad knees or balance issues.
Late January days were in 50’s; nights in mid-40’s; used heater from sunset to bedtime.
Good size fridge; has electric burners; toaster; kettle. Tiny sink and little prep space. Trader Joe’s a few blocks away. Bring or buy bottled water.
Jeff was a pleasure to deal with
and always responded quickly to my emails.

Glamping in San Fran!
What a refreshing and unique way to vacation in San Francisco. The boat was just what we were looking for and it was nice falling asleep to the rocking of the boat. There is so much to see and do within walking distance and our teen girls (for once) really enjoyed their vacation. Jeff was very helpful and responsive. I can't wait to come back!

Awesome Experience
We visited San Francisco for a conference, and were thrilled when we stumbled upon Jeff's boat as an option. Jeff was an exceptional host - giving us a personalized tour and ensured we were comfortable in all respects - extra bedding, additional showers as required, heater if needed, and how to turn on the party lights if we wanted to enjoy an evening above deck!
We truly enjoyed the entire experience and felt that we were welcomed guests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jeff to anyone else, and am confident you'll enjoy both the location as well as the experience sleeping on the boat! It was fantastic! Thanks Jeff!

Beyond Perfect!
First of all, Jeff is one of the nicest people I've ever met. The entire yacht experience was incredible!! It was the biggest boat on the dock and so safe, so fun, so clean. 24-7 security, not noisy at all even though it was conveniently located right on Pier 39. One of us has motion sickness yet we both loved being gently rocked to sleep and didn't even open the Dramamine or Bonine we brought. It was so soothing and peaceful, we already miss it. Jeff was incredibly accommodating and even greeted us the night we arrived to show us around onboard. We simply couldn't ask for anything better. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Jeff! We so appreciate you opening your yacht up for the public to enjoy :-)

Unique home-base in San Fran!
This was a great experience staying on a boat in the heart of it all in San Fran!! Right next to the action (pier 39), and perfectly equipped for an extra long weekend (coffee pot, fridge, etc). The boat itself is very comfortable, and it was a plus that each couple had their own bathroom on the boat. The seas rocked us back and forth and we slept like babies.
The owner Jeff was wonderful from the start, and answered any questions we had. We will remember the glasses of wine on the deck in the evening and the friendly seal we met one morning in the Pier.
Would definitely recommend and stay again!
Cheers,

Super experience!
So happy I chose this particular rental. Owner was great to deal with...always accommodating. This was our very first time we stayed on a yacht. First night we were nervous because of the mild rocking back and forth but thereafter we all slept wonderfully.
If you desire to be where the action is, yet also be to yourselves then this place meets both. Can't rave enough about our stay. Very memorable experience. Family wants to come back again.
Thanks Jeff

Pier 39 Yacht
We so enjoyed our time on the yacht, it is so close to a lot of the shops and eating places that we walked to almost every attraction. Great instructions and easy to follow. Very Clean and comfortable.
The Lucky Star was as good as advertised and even better, the owners were super nice and easy to talk too.
