We stayed at La Choza Amorosa for a class reunion. It was just what we needed for a relaxing visit in Reno. The house is tucked away off the street so you really don't notice any traffic. It is surrounded by gardens and a water ditch that gives a serene/quiet atmosphere. The house is very organized, everything was labeled, making it easy to find anything you might need. The entire house was stocked with items (spices, pots, pans, cooking tools, etc... even facial products in the bathrooms). The owners are very organized and leave lots of information for out town guests to make them feel right at home. I felt so relaxed and didn't want to leave after our 5 day visit. The next time we are in Reno, we hope to stay here again!

I know you've seen it. The VRBO Commercial that shows you a perfect vacation getaway. :). Well, this property is one you will love! We only stayed three days, but it was wonderful! Reno is a bit of an out of the way destination for us, but if we go back that way, we will 100 percent book this property.
I really don't have anything bad to say about this place except, if you are a Senior (like me), you might struggle with the stairs and the low rise toilet in the Master Bathroom. But since there are three bathrooms (one a few steps away from the Master, this is not a problem). There is a 1/2 bath downstairs.
There is everything you need for your stay. Fresh condiments (including hot sauce) in the fridge, coffee, tea, and even a few things in the pantry if you are starving, fresh fruit and flowers! :)
Everything was labeled and the kitchen was beautiful with everything you would need to cook a meal. Appliances were great and in working condition. A great washer and dryer, too. Awesome place. Great place for family gathering.
The house was very clean! The garage was a blessing too since we were on a road trip and we needed to unload our stuff during our stay. If it was hot, this would be a great plus.
We loved the neighborhood, and pretty close to every place we wanted to go.
Our host was very accommodating, and easy to reach. A huge plus.

Easy check in beautiful home spotlessly clean. Fresh flowers and fresh fruit awaited us. Everything you could want and need was available including spices oils coffee lovely dishes and pot and pans. Wonderful landscaping and grill and grill equipment. I have never stayed at such a clean and totally equipped rental.

Our family spent a long weekend here as we celebrated our daughter’s graduation from UNR. This beautiful home was perfect in every way! Fully stocked with all the amenities and was even better than in the photos. We loved our stay at La Choza and will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in are Reno!

We traveled to Reno to visit our son and his wife. We stayed here for four days and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations. The home is beautiful and in a great location. The host had the home stocked better than any air b & b we have stayed in before. Anything we needed and some we didn’t were there and available. I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBO rentals and this experience tops the list. Wonderful quiet and spacious house with a nod to the Southwest and a beautiful yard for the kids to run around in. Great outdoor areas for BBQ or outdoor eating. Very thoughtful host welcomed us with fresh flowers, bathroom essentials (toothbrushes, floss, toothpaste) and fresh fruit and bottled water. Before staying in Reno, we stayed in a house on Tahoe and the beds were awful. The beds in this house, by comparison, were like heaven. (Super important to have nice mattresses, people!). I rarely write reviews but wanted to this time because I felt it was such a great experience.

We stayed here for the volleyball tournament that was in town. The house was super clean, had more than enough accommodations such as towels, bath supplies, dishes, refrigeration, a nice big garage, secluded driveway and too many more to list.

My husband and I rented this home over the Christmas weekend, our daughter lives in Reno and we wanted a home setting to celebrate the holiday with her. The kitchen is stocked so well, there wasn't anything more I needed to cook Christmas brunch and dinner. Everything about this house was perfect for a family get together that created warm memories for us. 3 cozy bedrooms, a nice living room for gathering, a private yard. We would be happy to rent this home again in the future!

The property is just as pictured, clean, up to date, easy to find things, room to spread out and everything works. From the hot water to the heating and air. We stayed 3 nights for street vibrations. There was not anything that we needed it was all there. Games, tv, awesome kitchen, places to gather inside and outside. The boys liked the garage and being able to secure the motor cycles when we were home. The only thing I would suggest is bring ice if you are packing iced items for travel.

Was a great property to stay at. I think we maybe slept in the rooms only once while we stayed there. The couches and the tv area were so comfortable we slept on the couches and on the floor watching and playing games practically the whole trip. A beautiful place inside and out with a beautiful landscaping atmosphere. We highly recommend this place for a small to large (6 people) group

This house was better then listed! We loved it and found the privacy and yard to be picture perfect. My kiddos loved scootering up and down the long driveway. We do wish there were a few fans for upstairs even though they have a AC unit it can get a touch warm (we were there during a heat wave to be fair!) but seriously we will be back as we really loved staying here and appreciated all the small touches that made it feel more like home.

Their house became our home
You get one chance to make a great memory. We did that when we stayed here for Christmas and decided to come back to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. This was the perfect home for us to host our family and friends, many that we had not seen in years. There was plenty of space for the younger adults to have fun while the older adults had quiet space to talk and solve the problems of the world. The kitchen was a perfect for morning meals and quickly converted to a fully catered buffet.
None of this would be possible without the thoughtful attention to detail offered by the property owners. This was their house, but for three wonderful days it became our home.

Our daughter couldn't make it home for Christmas this year, so we brought Christmas to her. The hosts decorated the house for us, including a beautiful tree. We were so grateful to have stayed here, the property was very warm, inviting and relaxing. We appreciated the incredible thoughtfulness of the owners. The white Christmas was an unexpected bonus. This really is your home away from home
Great place to stay, and the perfect location for our trip plans. The home is bright and inviting. The homeowners provided all the extra essentials you may have forgotten. We woke up one morning and looking out the upstairs window you could see snow on the mountains, then looking down to the outside entrance there was snow on the tree leaves and bushes (it was probably frost, but beautiful none-the-less). Very private location, which was nice after a few long nights out with family. We are planning a return trip in June (2022) and would love to stay here again. I really cannot say enough about how comfortable this home is. The kitchen truly is a stocked kitchen. There was more there than I have in my everyday lived in home, the homeowners truly thought of everything. Thank you Raphael and Tena, we felt right at home.

Absolutely the best Vrbo rental home I have stayed in! Beautiful home. I appreciated all the little touches, like fresh fruit and flowers….even a new toothbrush in case one was needed! Cabinets, drawers and light switches were all marked for ease of use. Like how the property sits back from the street…quiet and peaceful. A very clean and comfortable home. I can’t wait to go back on my next trip to Reno!!!

Great rental!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this home. It was very clean and extremely well appointed. The owners have every drawer and light switch labeled which made the home incredibly user friendly. The location was safe and convenient. The house is set back from the street so it felt very private and was quiet. The outdoor space was lovely. The beds were very comfortable. Our only complaint was that the home's cooling system didn't cool the second level as well as the first and the bedrooms were a bit warm at night. We were there during an extremely hot period and the owner was very responsive and brought over extra standing fans within hours of my telling him about the issue. Ultimately, it wasn't a huge issue for us, but if you like to sleep in a very cold room with heavy blankets at night, this might not be the rental for you. We loved the home and will certainly return if our travel plans ever bring us back to Reno.

Hidden gem
Hidden from the street this beautiful house has everything we needed. Our family was able to have all the room we needed and more. The girls loved playing in the very spacious backyard and front courtyard. We did have some trouble with the air conditioning but the property manager was quick to come fix the issue. If you need a place to stay in Reno or close to Lake Tahoe I would highly recommend this house. I hope it is available next time we come to town.
