Lovely house and friendly lady who owned it. Parking was easy. Clean room. Very reasonably priced.
No TV in bedroom.

Vanessa is an amazing and seasoned host. She's put a lot of work into managing guests. So helpful with local knowledge and spent an evening telling me about suburbs and impacts of the quakes. Her home is a couple minutes drive to New Brighton pier. It's great to extend "supporting local" to lovely local families who enjoy hosting.

Good location to go to the seaside.
Cats around, but it's a pity they were too shy that we didn't pat them.
It is a bit cold in the room, it only has a heat pump in the living room. If a small heater was provided in the room it would be better.

Vanessa is lovely to talk with and very welcoming. Also, we were amazed at how spotless the house was despite Vanessa being temporarily confined to a wheelchair. Thank you Vanessa for a wonderful time.

Accommodation in a small clean family house in a quiet location.
It might come as a surprise to some that this is not classic accommodation, but actually Airbnb. Only a small room was rented, which could not even fit an unfolded suitcase and a separate toilet. Everything else: bathroom, dining room, kitchen was shared, but with the owner of the property who normally lived there.

Not just a home from home but felt like a 6-star guesthouse except as guests we were made to feel so welcome! The hens and cats were fantastic not forgetting the host and whanau too. Fresh eggs for breakfast too and the location was oh-so silent. We had come to Christchurch for a music festival and our unsociable hours were surprisingly ok.

Quiet location, far from the city noise. Spacious room with everything you need to relax after a long day of driving. Access to unbelievably cozy apartment. Shower and bathtub in the bathroom. Free range eggs for breakfast from owner's chickens who can enjoy themselves in the beautiful garden.
