Beautiful cabin! We had a few issues initially, but maintenance came and addressed them. Wasn't super clean, but overall, the cabin was perfect for our huge family get-together.
The hot tub was enjoyed by all, as were the mountain views and wildlife. The wrap around porch was a popular hang out, and we really enjoyed a break from the summer heat by visiting this mountain get away.

Everything here is first class. The property, the oversized decks, the fire pit, the interior, etc. Close to Boone and Blowing rock, but feels like you're 50 miles out in the wilderness, which is what we were looking for. Highly recommend, and I would absolutely re-book in the future.

pandemic escape
over the last year my friends and I have been forced to stay distant like many others. we decided to all test for covid and run away to the mountains to have week of normalcy. best decision ever. the black berry lodge now holds some great memories with great people. the house had plenty of space for 8 adults, and the drive into boone for supplies was a breeze. I'd highly recommend visiting historic blowing rock. the downtown felt like something out of a hallmark movie.

Beautiful home with lots of space. Well kept, well equipped, and very comfortable. We had a wonderful week and will definitely consider staying again. My only comments are minor things for convenience:
- Provide enough extra sheets, pillows, and blankets for both of the sleeper sofas.
- Consider a larger hot water heater when the time comes to replace the existing one. This will allow for more warm showers in the mornings when a number of people occupy the unit.
- Blinds or shutters on the kitchen windows would help block the glare from the early morning sun when sitting at the dining room table.

Blackberry lodge is spacious, clean and comfortable. Pretty sunrises, serene views, lots of open outdoor space, well stocked kitchen, cozy fireplaces.

The only complaint is the lack of water pressure in all the tubs and showers.
Even with only one person showering at a time, the water only dribbles out .

I would like to bring couple of things to your attention
1. Water clogging in all the bath tubs.
2. Outdoor Grill was in worst condition.
3. Oven was not cleaned.
4. Game room things were not at all organized.
Apart from the things mentioned above it was good, we enjoyed our stay would have been the best stay if we didn't encounter those above mentioned problems because we spent lots of time cleaning up the outdoor grill and oven for using them.

50th Wedding Celebration
Due to the Covid Situation, we chose to celebrate with our family only! Blackberry Lodge was just perfect for our family of 14. The kitchen was very accommodating full of everything we needed! The bedrooms we’re comfortable & very spacious! The kids loved the foosball table! Everyone enjoyed the fire pit during the cool evenings! We enjoyed the lovely views from the dining table & the decks! The decor was lovely! The location was great! Only a short & easy drive to Boone for groceries, etc. My only slight complaint was the WiFi situation. However I think that was also a benefit! My family want to go back next year!!! Highly recommend, won’t disappoint!!!

We love this house. It has a beautiful view. Plenty of room for party of 15. The house is close to the main road, but, we didn't care. You are spending most of the time out in the back. Our family cooked every meals for 3 a night stay and loved the amount of kitchen ware and cooking utensils available. The children had a great time using the pool table. Internet reception is not good in the home, so if you need to do work, the kitchen area has the best wifi connection. We went tubing with High Mountain Expedition on one day and hiked the Boone Fork Trail the next day- highly recommend. The rental staff was also great the work with- very responsive.

The cabin was amazing and the views were spectacular. We were a party of 11 and we were very comfortable. The cabin had everything we needed. We loved it so much, we cooked every meal at home. The views from the kitchen were breathtaking. The only complaint was with regard to the cleanliness of the cabin and the jacuzzi upon arrival. The trash bins were also full, which was disappointing. The downstairs fireplace was not working, we made a request and it was fixed the very next day. We will definitely return to this beautiful cabin.

This is a very nice cabin and spacious enough for the family. It was very clean and as advertise. I would certainly recommend upgrading the internet bandwidth as we had a lot of trouble streaming movies but not a deal breaker. The kids had a blast enjoying the cabin and amenities.

Blackberry Lodge
Blackberry Lodge is beautiful, and the location is awesome for skiing at Appalachian. The layout is a little different - the master bedroom is on the main level with the kitchen and living room and ALL OTHER BEDROOMS are in the lower level, surrounding the game room. It was hard for our group to separate the ones who wanted to go to bed early vs stay up and play and hang out. The home needs to be inventoried and checked for all things that need repair. We couldn't find a pump for the couch bed mattress - suggest a “home” for it and instructions. The kitchen was large and well stocked, great table - again - just need to check on things - the crock pot wouldn't get hot, and there was no tupperware for leftovers. We had a few ants - there were some ant baits there so I'm guessing that's not a new problem. The hot tub was very nice - grill on the deck worked well, beautiful views. Nice place overall.

This home is perfect for a mountain getaway! It’s close to all the great shops and restaurants. The property boasts a beautiful view and the hot tub was a great addition! When we come back to ski, we will be staying here again.

Great Cabin with beautiful decor and space. The kitchen was well equipped for all our needs and the children enjoyed the pool table and Foosball table. We could of used a broom to clean up messes (all we had was a small hand broom) and we had trouble with water pressure in our showers and in the kitchen sink. Other than that, we had a great time and would stay at this cabin again.

Great lodge
Rented this cabin with family for our yearly ski trip to Appalachian Mountains and it was terrific! Clean, bright and plenty of room. Kitchen fully sticked. Updated baths and kitchen . Great fire places and hot tub! Will be returning again next year!!

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! We had a wonderful time. Our access code wasn't working upon arrival so I had to call and they were very polite and quickly fixed the problem by immediately providing another code.
I have a suggestion. I arrived at dark and there were no lights left on the cabin porches so it was extremely dark. Perhaps they should be turned on in case a guest arrives at night like we did 😌
Other than these 2 minor things everything else was great.

Very accommodating house and property! My kids loved the big yard! The game room was a big hit. The only problem we encountered was the hot water heater did not heat enough for the guest to take showers/baths.

The cabin overall was beautiful and nice. The drive to the cabin is steep and winding. We were not completely expecting the drive in otherwise we would have arrived during daylight. There was a leak downstairs when it was raining.
