La vista a la ciudad desde la ventana era linda. La atención de los trabajadores era excelente.

Las habitaciones están un poco anticuadas, las camas dobles muy pequeñas, el piso alfombrado se nota que está viejo y se ve un poco sucio. Para el precio deberían darle mejor mantenimiento modernizar un poco.

The breakfast was good any varied, the staff was super friendly (although I wasn't sure how much English is actually spoken there, esp. at the restaurant and bar) and the location couldn't be more central. So it's a good deal if you want to be close to downtown for 1-2 nights.

The hotel really needs a renovation. It was probably chic 15-20 years ago but it doesn't even come close to the 5 stars displayed by the entrance. Soundproofing is poor - there's only 1 sheet of glass and the traffic outside is noisy, as is normal for the downtown of any capital. We could also hear the neighbors next door chatting. I wouldn't have been able to rest if I didn't bring earplugs with me. The carpet inside the rooms needs a good clean. The chest of drawers looks stunning but squeaks (old wood, not very well maintained), the windows and bathtub need serious cleaning. The hairdryer was probably from 10 years ago and I was afraid to use it for more than a couple of minutes: it gave out a strangle smell of burnt plastic and the engine got weak very quickly. Plus it had a lot of dust and lint captured by the screen protecting the engine. The lights didn't create a very cosy atmosphere: cold light all over the place, no warm light bulbs - not even in the reading lamps by the bed. The restaurant looks more like a cantina/tavern - the light is too strong and cold for a place serving dinner, the tables and chairs look rather shabby, although the food was really good.

El hotel es viejo olor a humedad una grifería del año 20. Llena de sarro. Cerámicas de muro quebradas , sin secador de pelo. Sin frigobar Costa Rica no cuenta una red de agua potable. Y este hotel Hp no da agua embotellada y te las cobran a 4 dólares Y una tina horrible aire paredes rota pintura vieja el olor a viejo. Húmedo moje mis tenis. Y es tanta la humedad que. Nunca se secaron aire acondicionado en mal estado se debe apagar para dormir. Y no funciona es viejo y no se calibra El. Buffet horrible todos Los desayuno iguales ( arroz con frijoles huevo y la peor salchicha ) un jugo horrible malo todo. Tuve la mala idea de comprar la cena con la reserva la cual al momento de servirla me restringieron el menú. Podía pedir ciertos alimentos y otros no. Además el. Gerente me dio una solución y posterior me sirvieron la cena. Que ellos eligieron mal rato. Pésima atención. Y estropearon las vacaciones. Al otro Dia me aseguraron que esta situación. No volvería a pasar y nuevamente. Paso lo mismo. Inclusive cobrando. Un tac adicional. Por un servicio contratado por Booking.com ( al momento de anexar los días. De cena. Y pagada la cena en ninguna parte informaban que. Cual o tal. Cena debía escoger. O cuál es el monto de la cena que incluía mi reserva. Todo mal con este hotelucho de mala muerte .. para terminar el circo del hotel Holiday in Aurola. TRATE DE HABLAR. CON. EL GERENTE. Pero nunca se digno a contestar mis consultas importando nada sus pasajeros. Y el botón del asunto para. Terminar. El hotel. Me tenía un tax adicional. Por pago de gaseosas. Y. La diferencia de la cena. Es. Absolutamente un robo. Además. Se publicita como un hotel. De 5 ESTRELLAS. Lo cual es un engaño. No cumple. Con la modernidad. Lis baños llenos de hongo y humedad. Paredes. Sucias. Tv cable pirata. Mobiliario antiguo. Y constantemente buscan. Estrujar al. Turista. ( situación vergonzosa para mi familia. En la cena mis hijos tomaron Dia flan del buffet.

no air conditioning in the gym and no clean towels second day the shower made a big mess of water all over the floor and i was traveling with an elderly so could have been bad. and you were no generous with the towels to make up for the ones i had to put on the floor in the bathroom

It’s a small thing but I tried to contact the property before our visit and ask about arranging travel onwards from the hotel. No one answered my message.
