The checkout process was not efficient. They mistakenly counted me as a guest who entered the Lang Bar, which I never visited. After two weeks, when I returned, I received my deposit, which had been overcharged.

Gute Lage, gutes Frühstück!

Leider hatten wir mit angegebenen Kind ( 12 Jahre) kein Zustellbett gehabt, auch war im Zimmer kein Schlafsofa, sodass wir die Nacht zu dritt im Doppelbett uns das Bett teilen mussten für den stolzen Prei von über 400€ die Nacht . Zwar wurde das Kind nicht extra berechnet in der Suite aber wenn das nicht ausgelegt ist für 2 Erwachsene und 1 Kind, hätte ich mir gewünscht das man das dann nicht über Booking in der Suchmaschine anlegt.

1) Rezeption (Nachmittag) telefonisch weder von draußen noch vom Hotelzimmer erreichbar. 2) Concierge vom Hotelzimmer nicht erreichbar. 3) Portier (Nachmittag) unterhält sich mehr als eine halbe Stunde mit Fremden auf der Straße und keine Begrüßung der eintreffenden Hotelgäste. 4) Restaurant-Bar: keine gute Küche

Der Spa ist in einem schlimmen Zustand, vor allem das Damen Badezimmer.

Die Lage, leider war das schon alles.

Sauberkeit, Ausstattung, Abnutzung, SPA, Frühstück, entsprechen nicht im Ansatz einem 5 Sterne Hotel. Von Luxushotel ganz zu schweigen.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great part of Berlin. I was here in December and the Christmas market was just outside - lovely! The room was immaculate with nice views across the city.

I can't think of anything that was bad or went wrong. It's not cheap, but this is reasonable value for a hotel of this standard.

I’ve booked a junior suite for two nights. On the our check-in date the room was not ready at 4 pm, thay offered us free breakfast and minibar for a room on the 4th floor with the view off office windows of next building. It was -6 or -8 C degree in Berlin and our suite’s heating system was not working, we were freezing through the night. I went to the reception early in the morning to share our problem and they have sent us a small elecktical heater 🥹 which was unexceptable for Waldorf Astoria brand. We were in Berlin only for two nights and we have spent a lots of time and energy to solve the hotel problems.

Das Hotel ist schön bis mich Bettwanzen gebissen haben

Ein schöner Aufenthalt bis ich schlafen gegangen bin. Nachts konnte ich WG starkem jucken nicht schlafen. Morgens habe ich gesehen, das mein Unterbauch komplett von Bettwanzen gebissen worden ist. Siehe Bilder. In der Rezeption habe ich erzählt, das ich von Bettwanzen gebissen worden bin. Angeblich wollten die das weiterleiten und es gab noch nicht mal eine Entschuldigung.

Das Zimmer hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

The hotel is in a great location for shopping and restaurants, but not walking distance to the main sightseeing area. The services are Waldorf level, the size of the suite was impressive, good quality amenities, a nice little spa and pool.

The hotel is visibly outdated and feels oldfashioned (very visible wear signs and old style in room furniture, common spaces furniture, breakfast salon). Compared to new or newly refurbished hotels, it feels like the price and brand standards are not really met at the expected level.

Really great hotel, even the smallest room is larger than some people's apartment, the bathroom could be a spa in it's own, the bath tub is large enough to have a couple taking a romantic bath without even touching, the walk-in shower (both present) is somewhere you never want to leave, the spa is quite nice. The terrace with the bar has an amazing view. The location is great. If you get a good rate (switch around the dates a bit, the difference can be couple hundred Euros!) this is actually a better deal than most expensive hotels with super tiny rooms in cities like Barcelona.

The breakfast is overpriced. Before 2020 they used to have a-la-carte breakfast and buffet, the breakfast buffet now costs an enormous amount of money for a VERY small buffet, that does not even offer much. I was disappointed because I remembered how exquisite it used to be. You are much better off just taking your money and go to the fancy all-day Breakfast/Brunch places right outside the hotel (Spreegold, Benedict, ...)

The hotel is very nice

We booked this hotel as a birthday-gift to my nephew, we booked way ahead. But the aircondition was broken and we paid over 400 euros for a room in the middle of warm summer. This is not ok. I can understand that things brake but then you have to inform your guests so they can change hotel. I can not sleep when its warm and I choose a expensive hotel to make sure that I would have ac.

Didn’t really love to be honest. It was too business hotel feels to it . Expected better for the price we paid.

The breakfast and staff.

After being told to only wish an extra hour, we had to wait 5 hours after checkin time to get our rooms due to an air conditioning issue in the hotel. We got complimentary room credit as compensation, but that wasn’t enough given the poor management and communication of the whole situation. Furniture in the rooms (1 standard and 2 suites) was all scratched and unmaintained. Housekeeping was inconsistent at best, and many days they left cups unwashed and towels in the bath. My sister would ask for cleanup after her baby made a mess on the floor and no one would come despite several requests. I had serious doubts that my bed had moths as I woke up with bites everyday. Room service was very slow. The lobby smelled of cigarettes the whole time. When we first visited Berlin in 2016, the new Waldorf Astoria back then made us fall inlove with the hotel and city. I assume there has been major changes in hotel management as their SOPs are different and inconsistently applied, lack of sense of luxury in the place and poor value for money.
