Apartment was good however could do with a better clean, one couch was stained from where someone had sat and it doesn't get cleaned in between the bottom cushions as there were all chips & crumbs in between.

It was an excellent location, excellent view, size and layout was amazing. The phone system and audio system didn’t seem to work. Seems like there was electrical components missing? Beautiful building with great facilities. Definitely would stay again.

Brilliant family vacation
Brilliant apartment in a brilliant complex. Had a few minor issues too the room which where dealt with immediately by GCR, couldn't fault their response and problems where fixed on the spot. The apartment is spot on, perfect location, great comfy beds and was well stocked with everything we needed for a memorable holiday. Will return too this wonderful place

We chose to stay at the Soul in Surfers Paradise because of it’s first class/five-star reputation. As regular visitors to the Gold Coast since the 1980s we’re more than familiar with the location and many buildings. The expectations on a stay in this relatively new building are very high respectively. We were hoping/requesting for a high floor but only got to stay on the 21st.Somehow we had problems with one of the key cards provided from Gold Coast Rental Properties - on our first day we had to get it replaced by one from the reception - this worked just fine for the whole stay.Unfortunately we had quite a list of complaints:The apartment was advertised as non smoking, but as soon as we opened the door a terrible smell came toward us. Even after many hours with open balcony doors it didnt disappear. Of course we closed the doors while we’re not in the apartment and we could not leave them open all night because it got too cold. The smell was really bad (in the curtains, the furniture, the carpet and bedding - the whole unit) and we didn’t sleep well that first night (we don’t suffer from jet-lag, because we already arrived in Melbourne a couple of days before). The iron was very scruffy, unfortunately we ruined one blouse - it didnt clean after a second wash ...The sealing ring of the washing machine was very filthy and left some stains on our first wash.Both of the ventilation shafts in the bathrooms showed quite an amount of mould.The air-conditioning was noisy (rumbling vibrations), the mattress in the main bedroom should have been replaced months ago, calcified door frames in the bathrooms and mold on the grouting between tiles. The windows and mirrors on the sliding doors had cleaning streaks,there were only two small towels (but four bath towels and four facecloths),one lamp shade of the floor lamp was missing.We assume that it makes a difference whether you rent from Soul directly (way more expensive) or privately/through an agent.The agent took care of some cleaning issues and exchanged the iron immediately. But nothing more ... Were still thinking of staying there again, maybe even in 2017 but we will certainly bring back to mind our complaints ...
