Location was really handy to Christchurch Hospital,Hagley Park across the road was nice to exercise in.Relatively quiet considering being in town center.Room was clean and well ventilated.Milk in the fridge was nice and basic kitchen utensils were handy.
Some basic maintenance was lacking but did not affect my stay apart from the bathroom sink was slow draining so obviously needs a good clean out.

The smell of the heat pump was putrid it literally nearly made us vomit, the bathroom door fell off, the beds were straight hammered and none of us wanted to chance sleeping under the covers incase of contracting an STD......never again.

We requested to enter our room earlier than our original booking which they accommodated by an extra few hours. Communication is excellent with instructions for Key collection from security boxes.
Inside bed had lovely fresh, crisp sheets. Decent sized Kitchen with fridge (with bottle of milk for teas,) kettle, microwave, teas & coffees. Spacious bathroom with hairdryer, sachets of toiletries, clean towels.
Clean, great facilities and felt very private, secure and well attended to.
Upon leaving staff were friendly.
A great, well run hidden gem.

Location was great
Very tired. Curtains frayed nothing on walls to brighten the room. Cupboards in kitchen didn’t shut properly

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy our stay. Our room was very dated and poorly maintained, in desperate need of renovating. The room smelt terrible we checked out early. Was concerning that the reception door was always locked. Didn’t really feel safe!

Location is close to City Center and availability of parking area.
Water pressure is not enough for a good shower.

Great location, easy to get to and walk to where I needed to go. Comfortable room. Being able to leave my car there for the day prior to check in and for the day after an early check out.
Cleanliness just attention to detail for example kitchen blind wasn't very clean etc.

The place was freezing, heat pump barley worked, window latches broken, motel was used for emergency housing, did not feel safe. Owners talked to me through a window, had to pay through a window, no sign up.
I didn’t stay , I left after 2 hours !

we walked in and it smelt bad and was not clean. looked around and walked out and left. we are not a rich family but the quality of this room did not meet the price we paid for it. no refund given and for $23 more at another motel got a completely different quality

The chap at the reception was friendly.
Not as advertised. The room (unit 21) was dirty, stains on the bedsheets and there was a very bad smell in the room. Smelt like mould and stale cigarettes.
The room overall seem dilapidated and did not resemble the pictures on booking.com. I am astonished that this motel has preferred status on this site.
I ended up staying with a friend rather than spend the night in this room

Staff was friendly and helpful
Very noisy at night, heater in the bedroom is loud, someone knocked our door at mid night, very scary.

Close to everything we needed. Hospital, supermarket, mall. The heat pump kept us warm and beds were comfortable.
There's no fan in bathroom to remove steam from shower so everything gets damp.

Location was handy to the hospital which is why I went. It was about a 10 minute walk along beautiful Hagley Park. The owners were very helpful and let me leave my car there and walk to the hospital before I was booked in and after I booked out. As it is hopeless trying to get a car park anywhere near Chch hospital this is very helpful.

Great location, and friendly staff. Off street parking. No doubt I’ll be back again in the future.
Room smelt of smoke and being a non-smoker this wasn’t very pleasant. However, I have stayed here before without this issue as well.

The hosts were most generous in allowing an early check in, the room we had was good, had everything we needed, and the location was perfect (we were there for cricket at Hagley Park).
