really comfortable family friendly resort. the outdoor public hotspring is wonderful! my daughter loved it.

the private outdoor bath attracts a lot of bugs so you’re better off going to the public one. the staff are absolutely lovely, esp the kitchen!

lives up to its 5* reputation. the service was fantastic. they went out of the way to get some coloured pens for my kids who were given some colour it books upon arrival. I was glad as that kept the kids occupied!

there could be more kids activities planned for the kids club.

Love everything abt the hotel. The private hot spring was wonderful. Wish we had more time to spend in hotel. Their welcome soy drinks taste so good too!

Room was well furnished with good amenities. Nice personal hot spring baths in the room although the water seemed quite dirty at times. Exclusive resort feel due to low number of rooms with sufficient privacy between rooms. Beds were comfortable with lots of pillows. Rooms were well cleaned every day. Convenient parking available outside and at the basement parking. Eddie the guest concierge spoke good English and gave us a good overview of the facilities upon check-in and helped us with restaurant bookings as well. Daily children's activities were available to keep the little one occupied for awhile.

Location of the hotel - in the middle of nowhere with no restaurants or convenience stores nearby. Shower water pressure in the room was a joke. Toys in the kids' playroom were damaged, missing and neglected. Only two restaurants available with limited dining options. We ended up ordering UberEats for lunch since nothing was available and there were no restaurants around the area unless you took a drive out to town. Poor service at both restaurants. We had to wait 10 minutes to pay the bill at the Japanese restaurant, and at the Western restaurant, there seemed to be a lack of hygiene practiced by the waiters in serving food and cleaning up tables. Food quality poor at both restaurants - Western buffet had limited choice of food (all mostly served warm and not hot), and the Japanese was expensive and disappointing. The breakfast spread was also by far the worst I've ever experienced at a Westin chain worldwide! Seriously needs an upgrade! There's only an outdoor swimming pool available which limits activities on a rainy weekend. Check-out was a mess - not sure why but my wife's credit card was charged twice and it took awhile to sort out the payment charges; especially since I had already paid for the room with my credit card earlier but this was not detected by the concierge.

Location is not exciting

The breakfast was fine. My room was facing an alley behind the resort. For some reason the neighbour there was singing or performing all day and night with loud music. Fortunately the last 2 days of my trip they did not do it anymore.

The Japanese restaurant Mai should be better in term of service and presentation of foods.
