Paco and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay. The food at the restaurant was reasonable and delicious, while the new bungalow by the pool was idyllic.

The lights in the bungalow flickered a little when the hot water was running, but wasn't really an issue

Very attentive owners and staff! A home away from home in a little place of heaven 🥰 What a beatifull and romanticus spot to discover zanzibar and have a full service location. Even when leaving at 4 am the owner is giving a breakfast to go!

Really nice hotel with 3 swimming-pools and a delicious restaurant (either for breakfast, lunch or dinner). The staff is really friendly and helpful ! The room is nice with a big terrasse with chairs and a table, really convenient for the people who need to work !

The wifi is more or less reliable There was a bad smell coming from the bathroom due to toilets with a septic tank.

It is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. The owners and their staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Absolutely beautiful tropical gardens surround the pool and bar/restaurant area, all under traditional thatched roofs. Another two swimming pools on site with a brand new block of six rooms. Our breakfast was delicious and I can’t find fault with any aspect of our stay. A wonderful place to unwind and relax.

Great property with super friendly staff, the nicest we met in Zanzibar! Restaurant was also very good as well as the service! The cats were adorable too!

The Property is amazingly well kept and really really beautiful with all the plants and swings and relaxing spots. The room was nice and big! The upstairs Yoga space was free for us to use and the there was also the possibility of Yoga lessons with Maria. the food was amazing! We could give our laundry to wash for only 5$ each. really nothing to complain, everything was perfect!

Like written in the description it is no AC. I support and understand their decision, but we ended up not sleeping because it was very hot in our bungalow.

From the moment we arrived Paco and his wife were super hosts, nothing was ever too much effort for them! We were instantly made to feel very welcome and that feeling was more than kept up for the whole of our stay. The staff were lovely people as well and were chatty and helpful!

The garden Was amazing. Well kept green oasis in the middle of Matemwe. The rooms are cleaned daily, the food is delicious and the owners are one of the nicest people we've ever met. The resort is close to a well stocked supermarket and some local restaurants. Our stay there was one we will not forget.

Paco and Maria are two fantastic host, they made us feel part of a family, treated us with kindness and support, they made our stay fantastic! The location is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed everything! If we come back to Zanzibar we will certainly come back in their bungalows!!

This is a very relaxed place, ideal to lean back and enjoy. A huge garden, beautifully kept, invites you to spend time all day, good breakfast and if you like you can also have dinner here. The beach is about 10 minutes by walk, on the way you get in touch with local people and can even buy some fruit, everyone is very friendly. The hosts are very nice, attentive and engaged, and are happy to arrange trips like snorkeling or sightseeing on the island - they recommend local services only and employ local people, this is great and unfortunately not very common in other hotels or restaurants. The beach in Matemwe was empty in October.

The beach itself is nice, in the water you need to pay attention as there are many sea urchins.

This was really coming home! I was looking for some peace and quiet after climbing kilimanjaro and I couldn't have picked a better place than this! As soon as I arrived, I booked an extra three nights. The energy is so pleasant and you really have everything at your disposal. two swimming pools, a restaurant, you can take yoga classes or a massage. The latter is definitely recommended! Paco and Maria are very hospitable and gave me the feeling that I was part of their existence! thank you very much for this!

Amazing staff! The garden is lovely, the place is quiet, the yoga room relaxing, and the lack of air conditioning is not a particular concern.

The distance from the beach is not a big issue, but it does make a difference. The snorkelling trip to Mnemba atoll organised through a connection of the staff was disappointing: The crew did not speak English and did not seem particularly interested in the well-being of the sea life we encountered.

Cute bungalows and absolutely gorgeous garden, located within walking distance of our scuba company for a trip to Mnemba, very friendly and responsive owners, clean, lofted bed and mosquito nets, private yoga class :)

The only part of the stay that could have been better was not having AC, which made sleeping on a very hot night difficult. However, appreciated the eco focus, plus the owners brought another fan which helped a lot!

Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere! The place itself is incredibly beautiful, we felt like in paradise. The hosts were super kind and friendly, also the staff at the restaurant was lovely and caring. Everything was super clean as well.

The only thing which was unfortunate were animals (I guess monkeys?) On the roof that made sounds in the evening and during the night and made it difficult to fall asleep.

We had the best time at the hotel thanks to Maria, Paco and the whole staff. The place is lovely, clean and welcoming. Maria and Paco helped us organize a lot of activities such as visiting the villages or swim with turtles.

Paco is a natural host: entertaining, friendly and easy going. We enjoyed listening to the stories of his local adventures and he was helpful in organising our tour to Mnemba. The garden area is beautiful, tranquil and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend!
