Iconic Chiang-Kai-Shek style Hotel at one of the most beautiful locations up the mountains of Taiwan - wilth a great view over the mountain-range, and even reachable by public transport with bus-stop direct in front of the place (only few connections per day) to Yilan, Puli or Hualien. Special serene feeling worth a tour and stay - for a hike, retreat or taste the local fruits (apples, peaches....)

Located at the town entry, Lishan Guest House is a great place for a stay on this remote town in the mountains. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, the staff was always ready to help, lovely stay :)

It is definitely a unique experience staying here, as it was built as a retreat for Chiang Kai Shek and includes a small museum. The location is great for visiting national parks (by car or bike).

The food in the restaurant might be beyond the palate of people not already well acquainted with Chinese food.

The hotel is in a great location, really nicely situated close to good views of the mountains, restaurants and the bus stop. The room was large and clean, and the buffet breakfast had good variety.

The bathroom included towels but not any soap, so I needed to go buy my own from the Family Mart next door. The trails behind the hotel are also in need of some upkeep, some parts felt dangerous and I was glad I was wearing good hiking boots.

Historical, comfortable, tasty meals

Beautiful property, very comfortable and very friendly staff. The food was great and they accommodated my vegetarian requests as well as being able to keep our bicycles in the room overnight with us. Would absolutely stay again!

The temperature in the room was never warm even though there was a heater. Cold!!!

Great option for Lishan, conveniently located, with good bathrooms. Get a room with a balcony offering a view.

The place is resting on its former glory, and could do with some modernization. Restaurant hours (in particular for dinner) quite short.
