Excellent for family reunion. The owner let us know of storm damage from recent hurricane, but didn’t impact our stay. Very roomy, great with Pointe West amenities. We wish we had rented a golf cart to get around. Kitchen had basics. All the bedrooms were very well appointed. House is 15 steps from walkover to beach. Has beach toys and chairs to take to the beach.

We had a great time. The ocean view is amazing and the crosswalk is directly next to the house for convenience. The layout of the house is spacious with two masters. The house could use a little TLC. There were some issues with locks & lights. Overall, it was a good experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beach house. It provides plenty of space for a large family or group of friends to get away. Access to the private beach is right out back. Some wake boards, sand toys and chairs are provided for guest’s use.
The bathrooms are only stocked with one roll of toilet paper. Be prepared and shop before you leave Galveston as the nearby mini grocery stores are expensive. Only one towel is provided per person as well. There were a few extra hand towels and wash cloths but if you use an extra towel for hair, bring your own. No toiletries other than a bar of soap are provided.
The bedrooms are mainly located upstairs with the exception of a king sized bed in the main bedroom on the main level. The bunk room upstairs has two twins and two fulls. The property advertises as having two queen beds but one of them is a pull-out sofa. The mattress is thick and our family member was comfortable but we didn’t expect to be making that bed upon arrival. The other two bedrooms upstairs have a queen and a king bed.
The kitchen is adequately stocked for the most part regarding equipment. Some of the utensils are a little worn but we didn’t have any issues preparing pancakes. Salt and pepper are provided but you’ll need to bring everything else. Just be sure to shop in Galveston or expect to have little selection and much higher prices.
We would happily rent this property again. 12 of us shared the space and we wished we had more time to enjoy the home.

We loved the large home with a wonderful floor plan! Plenty of bathrooms! I loved having the primary downstairs... with everyone else upstairs.

We had a great Girls Weekend at this lovely house. I loved that there were enough bathrooms for everyone. The bedrooms have nice beds that are comfy and the bunkbed room with the lights in the ceiling is perfect for kids even though we enjoyed it as adults too. Location to the beach is perfect. Highly recommend and looking forward to our next weekend a this lovely house.

We have stayed in Pointe West for the last 10 years on Easter Weekend. Our family has grown so we rented a larger home this year. Sea Sage was wonderful, plenty of room, and right next to cross over walkway to beach. The littles loved the stars illuminating the ceiling in the bunk room.

Had a great time! Lots of room and baths for the entire family! Loved being right by the board walk to the beach! A little farther drive into town than realized! That has its pluses, for quite beach, and negatives for getting food and entertainment . Overall great stay!

This was our second time to stay at the Sea Sage property and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. The house is comfortable and spacious. The boardwalk to the beach is right next to the property, and the views of the beach from the home are fantastic. We all had a lovely time.

we have stayed at various Pointe West properties for over 10 years and being next to the board walk was amazing. easiest access to walk across and set everything up every morning and tear down in the evening. spent almost all of our time at the beach this year compared to the pools. never crowded and always several degrees cooler next to the water! highly recommend this property.

THe house is beautiful and the location is super. Our Host was always most responsive. There was an issue with some interior problems, A door in one bedroom was screwed shut and you could not bet out to the patio access door. There was mold in the downstairs bathroom and hair balls in the shower. It appears that the cleaning crew did not do a good job. Other than that, we had a great time and enjoyed the home trememdously.

Our stay was made even better by how accommodating the host is. Everything you could need is provided, especially for fun days on the beach! We loved how the house is right beside the beach across ramp, and the balconies provided great views on the beach as well. The property is well maintained and updated completely! Our family will be returning next summer for sure!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The house had everything we could possibly need and totally met our expectations! Beds were very comfortable and bedrooms spacious. We did have issues with two of the TVs but we were not there to watch tv! Great memories for all of us.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Sea Sage! We had enough room to have our own space but the family room was big enough for us all to be together. The west end of the island is quieter and out of the way. The beach was easy to get to and not crowded.
The kitchen has a wide assortment of appliances. The only thing missing is storage containers or bags so be sure to bring them if you need them.
Seven Seas grocery had an amazing amount of items for sale. If we had known this we wouldn't have bought a ton of groceries in advance.
Way West Pizza was worth the 10 minute drive, we ordered takeout and it was ready when we arrived.

This house was perfect. I rented it for me and 3 of my friends to celebrate my 30th birthday. We aren't the big party type but wanted a get away. More of a mental reset from the day to day things. If you do rent this house, I 100% recommend being up for the sunrise. It is was beautiful off the back porch. Pink and orange as can be with the cool breeze, the sounds of waves crashing on the sand, combined with a fresh cup of coffee was the best way to start the day. The only thing better was in the evenings looking at the stars. At night I walked down to the beach and would spend actual hours just looking up. The houses in the neighborhood are far enough away from the beach that the lights do not pollute your view of the sky.
The check in was super easy. I was the first of my group to arrive so i could check out the house. The house was very clean and inviting. It felt homey and cozy. You literally feel like you belong there when you walk in. I'm not going to lie, i did rate the cleanliness as a 4 out of 5 just because there were a bunch of sea shells on the table underneath the house when we got there. To be fair, that is just me being very very picky. I would definitely rent this house time and time again. Thank you for letting my friends and I enjoy your home for my 30th. It played a huge part in many memories I'll carry with me for a long time.

What a wonderful home!
The owners were so quick to reply about any questions we had and even had someone meet us upon checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. The kitchen had so many necessities and everything we could ever need! The views of this home were perfect from every room. Our kids loved all of the special littles touches in the kids bunk room. It was so nice to already have some beach toys to be able to use etc…
We have stayed in Pointe West at least 10 times before and this was the most convenient and easiest location to get to the beach and also to the beach club. We can’t wait to return! Thanks for wonderful memories!

The house is wonderful. One master on first floor and 3 bedrooms (another master) and a pull out couch in a room on the 4th floor. Plenty of room to spread out. Lots of porch room. The house is right by the boardwalk over to the beach so easy to take your things across to the ocean for the day. Great family room for watching TV and others maybe playing cards at the dining table. We love Pointe West and will go again.

Everything needed for a great family beach vacation. Large Sandy beach, warm water and a house that comfortably sleeps 6 adults and 4 grandkids. Build sandcastles & ride the waves in the morning and swim at the pool club in the afternoon.

This was our 3rd summer staying at the Beautiful Sea Sage. We highly recommend this property. The views are amazing. It is comfortable for adults and children. Plenty of bathrooms, and the kitchen is fully equipped with all that is needed for meals! We made a quick run into Kroger in Galveston for groceries. We have experienced good and prompt communication with the owner and property manager. We are looking forward to next year at the Beautiful Sea Sage and Pointe West! Thank you!

Such a great property with enough room for our whole family. Endless views of beach from the deck. Close to beach and convenient to all facilities in Pointe West. Definitely would stay here again. I would have given it 5 stars, however fifth bedroom lists a queen bed and in reality it was a sleeper sofa. We really needed a true functioning fifth bedroom so parents didn't need to sleep in bunkroom with kids.

This home was just as described and we couldn't have been happier with the vacation. The area is on the quiet side of Galveston Island and is beautiful. Having the beach path right next to the home was a bonus! The owner was very helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this home and desitination!

I love Pointe West and rent a house there every year. I believe this was our 9th Pointe West vacation rental home. All in all it was a great trip, but this is the most disappointed I been with my rental. For the amount paid, I expect it to look and feel extremely clean & nice. The house was not cleaned well at all. Some utencils, pots and pans had a grimy stickiness. Coffee pot, floor, and bottom of fridge were filthy. I took a few pics was hoping to post. Couch was old and stained. Upstairs tvs only worked for playing dvds. And yet no dvds were available. Every room with a tv should have cable or wifi. Kids weren't happy. Downstairs master bed was extremely comfortable! My daughter's upstairs master had more than a little dog hair on the sheets though. Not enough towels and washcloths. Not great outdoor furniture. House needs a major deep cleaning, and some updating - or price should be lower. Had I paid less, I'd be raving. But if you want to charge as much as the neighbors, it should be equally as nice.
