You know how there are those times when you have to stop to pinch yourself and wonder how did we get so lucky to stumble on something/someone/somewhere that immediately becomes a highlight of your travels? Well this is all of the above - and more!! Our stay far exceeded our expectations thanks to the most kind, fun, and genuinely caring owner! Fabriccio (and his sweet parents)couldn't have been a better host. His exceptional level of communication before our arrival, as well as his ongoing attentiveness, and wonderful recommendations for things to do and where to go, and all around general help and interactions made our week absolutely unforgettable! Even if Banos had nothing to offer(and it couldn't have offered more fun and adventure!)we'd come back again just to see Fabriccio! :-) It is very apparent he loves what he has created for his guests. So much so it seems he can read your mind to always be one step (or many!)ahead always making sure everything goes well for you. So many little touches like an unexpected coffee, or snack, or use of a bathing cap for the hot springs, eecommrndatikn and information for the best your operator in town, and even offering a late checkout to accommodate our night bus departure! The list goes on and on. (And we saw it extended to all of his other guests too) The backdrop of the volcano, the quiet, the hot showers, convenience of shared kitchen, ease of comminicationg in English, and a perfect location were all icing on the cake! We can't wait to return! Don't hesitate to book your stay here!

Amazing place to stay in Baños. I definitely recommend it. The owner is also amazing!

This may appear to not be in the centre but its super close, a 5 min walk and a dollar 50 in cabs if you can't be bothered but it is much preferable to locations in town because of the beautiful views and gorgeous garden. Not to mention the atmosphere, it's friendly, homely and super safe. Fabrizio is the host with the most and I loved my time here meeting some amazing people. The place to stay in Baños !

Had a great stay, the owner showed a lot of hospitality and I had a great time

Fabricio was super welcoming and went above and beyond, even dropping us off at the bus terminal and helping us get our tickets and secure our luggage. He also made sure our stay in Baños was memorable by providing us with Ecuadorian treats and a campfire! The place is basic but has everything you need, including a hot shower and really good WiFi, and is also very clean.

Fabricio treats the guests not only as guests, but also as friends! I felt so at home. Very nice atmosphere I met very nice people. Peaceful view of the mountains with outdoor space, clean bathrooms, hot water, equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom. Just 5 minutes walk away from the centre, few seconds away from the river. I would definitely stay there next time!

Very nice and quiet place, with the best view. Good and kind people work here, always helping. Nice kitchen, showers with hot water, fast wifi, close to the centre and buses passing near. I booked for 3 night but stayed 11 nights, because i liked it a lot!

Lovely room, very hot shower and only slightly out of town. Lovely garden to relax in with views of the mountains. Fabricio and his family were extremely nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I returned to Baños

Goldie the hostel dog is absolutely adorable, and lovely! And the garden is lovely to just have a lay in and relax for a bit, plus it has a great view of the valley when the skies are clear.

The rooms were VERY basic a pure concrete box with a bed, and the showers are in the same very basic state, one of the electronic showers even had smoke coming out of it when in use…

we liked everything, especially the atmosphere around the place, it has beautiful views of the mountains and the owner is one of a kind, very friendly and helped us out with the planning and getting around town

A lovely hostel, fabricio is the best! he offered so much help and the almost-outdoor kitchen is so lovely. wonderful sunset views of tungurahua. felt so at home at this place and even was offered an upgrade when there was a mistake with my booking - that's the sort of service offered here. nice away from the hustle and bustle of town.

Montano is situated less than a 10 minute walk from the noisier and busier downtown. Fabricio is super helpful and accommodating, and the little community of folks feels like home; sharing stories around the campfire and snacks throughout the day. Plus, Goldy is the best dog in all of Banos! An excellent value for your stay in Banos!

All you need. Comfy room, very nice host and amazing views from the kitchen! Also easy 15 min walk to El Salado hot springs. For its category 10/10 :)
