Super repas en commun pris autour de l'Irori, nous avons passé un très bon moment. Personnel très sympathique. Chambre jolie avec ses poutres apparentes, on y accède par une petite échelle, bonne literie. Possibilité de laisser ses bagages pour la journée. Auberge à moins de 5 min de la station de train et du musée en plein air. Position assez centrale pour graviter dans la région.

Nice hotel in a good location. The bar area is a great place to hang out and the here dinner is a must!

It was very windy at night and the building makes a bit of noise. Fine once I'd got to sleep but took a little bit. My partner had no issues however. I am being very picky because otherwise it was great

Le lieu le plus chaleureux que j’ai eu à visiter pendant mon trip au Japon. Personnel agréable et aidant, et j’ai beaucoup apprécié le diner partagé.

Staff were super friendly and when they found out I was vegetarian, they recommended places I could go and eat :)

日常清掃行き届いているのですが、ドミの臭い消しの芳香臭が苦手でした

The hospitality of the staff, it was remarkable! The dinner was nice, and it’s a good place to meet and interact with other travellers. The guest house is reasonably priced as well.

The room we rented had a strong smell of smoking which really troubled me at night to sleep comfortably. Perhaps, it wasn’t properly cleaned or the ventilation system wasn’t working properly. The joy of all the good things at this hostel was taken away by not having a good nights rest.

Very charming and helpful staff, fantastic value dinner, we’ll equipped kitchen, very clean with good showers.

Location was up a steep hill but not too far from the bus stop.

Very welcoming staff, the place has a very cozy traditional look and feel, but with all the modern amenities one would need. The dinner was also a great experience, I only wish I would've known to bring my own additional meat to grill at the irori. There is also a well-stocked shared kitchen and a bar - which is great, since there are not that many places open late in the vicinity.

The only thing I didn't like is that I only stayed for one night - there is so much more to see around. The lockers in the dorm could be bigger too, it would've been perfect if I could put my hardside luggage in there.

I like the decoration of the lobby and also the shared shower room. I was surprised to find out the shower room was shared among female and male. I only stayed a short period so it was rather okay.

there were some mosquitoes inside the lodge as many window shades were broken.

The staff can speak really good English and the service was really nice. Having food at the Irori was very chill and it was a cool experience for foreigners.

The door of our room was so hard to lock. We tried so many times to figure out the direction of the lock to successfully lock our door. Maybe this lock should be changed cuz others with the same type of room didn’t seem to be bothered.

Location is great, literally right next to the Hakone Open Air Museum. Close to rail station and bus lines. Downstairs common area is quite nice. Quiet at night.

This inn really exceeded my expectations. Initially only choosing this place due to the low price, we were pleasantly surprised with very friendly and kind staff who would casually chat with you. The open space at the dining hall is really cozy and you can mingle with the other boarders. It comes with a small kitchen and a very traditional Japanese styled fire place you can use. Perfect for trips with your friends. Lights out timing for the irori is at 10pm although you can hang out in the kitchen (but you have to keep you volume low as the neighbourhood is quiet and residents sleep early). Rooms are traditional styled. The location is conveniently placed near the station in the heart of Hakone, highly recommended for trips!

The staffs are so bright and lovely, they try her best to speak english with us, introduce the place and make us feel comfortable there. The common space vibe is very woody, simply, yet comfy :) Facilities are all clean well. Parking is available. Close to train station, museum and conbini.

I want to have dinner there!! but it' fully booked. That's my only regret.
