I like the everything about the room, it is wide , spacious, quiet and clean. My family had a good stay during my conference, my one year old daughter were watching the airplane flying over the congress venue from the drop down window all the time and enjoyed swimming at the pool. Not to mention that there's a playground just right in front of the hotel. The staff at the breakfast are very friendly and the variety of the food is impressive. It has the best location to the Convention Centre with a link bridge connecting at 3rd floor.

The price spiked to more than 2 times during our stay due to the conference.

Het ontbijt was fantastisch, dicht bij het Exhibition Center, taxies stonden klaar en waren zeer betaalbaar. Business lounge op 20ste verdieping was heerlijk rustig en overal waren rustige plekken te vinde om zaken te bespreken. De kamers ware groot en mooi badkamner en fijne bedden.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during Chinaplas 2023 (17 to 21 April). We arrived at the property around 14:30 in fully tired manner (you could just imagine we had around 9 hours flight to Guangzhou and then 2 hours ride to Shenzhen), the first weird thing was that we were told that hotel cannot accept EUR or USD and it is only possible to pay in RMB!!! so considering the room rates which were pretty high (due to exhibition time) I personally couldn’t understand how the hotel concluded a traveler may carry huge amounts of RMB with themselves. Anyway, the receptionist said “you need to take a taxi and go somewhere to exchange USD to RMB” as simple as it is!!! Want to add some experience, please note in China exchanging money is not as normal as it is in other countries at all, it is totally different and so complicated, the official exchange way can be done only in some branched of “Bank of China” or at airports. As brief, I left my friend and our luggage at hotel and took a taxi from hotel and went to two branches of Bank of China, none of them did the exchange (in one of the branch I was told that it is only allowed to exchange only USD 500 per person per day!) time was passing and I found no way unless to airport of Shenzhen, after walking a lot and checking several exchange offices there, finally I could find the one in which I could exchange money (even that one accepted to exchange only USD 5000), all in all it took me around 3.5 hours to exchange money and come back again to Hotel. It was around 18:30pm, the next annoying issue was that the hotel asked us to pay extra deposit to guarantee in case we had some extra cost during our stay, they requested us to pay extra RMB 20,000 (which is around USD 3000!!!) as the extra deposit (only for two persons for 4 nights!) on top of the rate we paid for rooms!!!

Actually I was losing my temper because I had many experiences of travelling to different countries in the middle east or Europe and never faced such request, only in few hotels we had been requested to pay short amount as deposit like USD 200 a bit more or less. After several rounds of discussion and complaining about such irregular and unreasonable request, finally they accepted us to pay RMB 10,000 as the extra deposit. The point is that when I was circling in the city to just find an exchange office another passenger had arrived hotel (around 6pm) and since nowhere could be found in the city for exchanging money at that time of the day, hotel accepted his USD instead of RMB, and when we understood this matter we got so angry, and I called the manager of the hotel and asked her how come they accepted USD from other guest while they sent me around the city for exchanging money and it took my valuable time about 3.5 hour especially considering we were so so tired after about 15 hour trip. The manager answered that since there was nowhere open to send the other guest for exchanging money they had to accept his USD at hotel!!! What I want to mention is that this hotel is well equipped and furnished with good and comfortable rooms and facility, but the quality of service you receive and behavior of hotel’s staffs is so far from the price you spend at this hotel, meaning that if you faced such problem in a low or mid rate hotel it might be understandable but in such hotels (with 5 star) and with the most expensive rate is not acceptable at all. The most highlighted advantage of this hotel was the distance from exhibition which was around 4-5 min walk, and I think the hotel takes the advantage of this issue the most and gives much high rates during the exhibitions.
