The hotel is @ a prime location near from lots of shops and restaurants.. the staff was amazing attended to my requests instantly.. the facilities also are good with various choices of dining & spa service too…

The hotel itself is nice and in a good location, but the rooms, staff and food are terrible.
The rooms have a smoke detector with super bright blinking light which turns your room into a kind of night disco making it impossible to sleep.
Also staff knock on your door at 8 in the morning for a mysterious"room inspection" despite the do not disturb sign being on.
The food from room service and the pool bar are also not great.

Most everything was good especially pool. My big issue was they did not let my wife in the restaurant because of her shoes, our meal was prepaid, I had not seen my wife in 2 weeks. Very bad look for such an expensive hotel. Also staff called my room when do not disturb sign was on an we were asleep. One more thing about blankets are very very thin, they stuff them inside heavy sheets to make them look larger.

Nice hotel with fantastic services. The fixtures in the room is a bit dated though. Wasn’t too impressed that the toilet roll holders are covered with stains n beginning to rust. Not what i expect to see under the Shangri-la brands.

This was the worst service ive ever had at shangrila and ive stayed at many around the world.
The lobby lounge food has no taste and they took 40 minutes to serve my dad a burger. I told the staff my escabeche had no flavour and the server took it back to the kitchen and told the chef.
Upon check out she didnt even comp it on our bill. The employee at check out had to run to accounting and then find the lobby manager for a refund approval. There has to be a bettet system, because not only was he hassled i also lost 30 minutes travel time to my next destination.
For the free parking, the front desk only gave my dad a green sleep. In order to have free parking we needed a white slip. We were held hostage in the parking lot for another 30 minutes until my dad paid the 500 php fee for not having a white ticket, eventhough we were patrons of the hotel and had a 7k php balance upon check out.
I was so upset, i went back to the front desk and they apologized and refunded the 500 php. Save urself the hassle and just go to the W or the Hyatt. Its not even about the money spent on accomodations, its just a headache having to explain to staff what appropriate customer service is. They just kept saying sorry po thats the way things are. Clearly not because we got the refund.

At checking in, I have asked to arrange car drop off for me at a specific time to a place in Makati. The counter staff has “carefully” entered it into the computer and has repeated the time and place to confirm me. However, when I supposed to get the car at that specified time, the concierge staff told me there was no such booking. Luckily the staff could immediately help me arrange it again. In fact, such incident has happened in my last visit.

The staff at Shangri-La, mainly young Filipino men and women, including the drivers of the airport transfers and the Circle Events buffet servers and chefs, do their best to serve the hotel’s customers. Everyone was attentive and responsive to our requests during our stay.

Everything at this property was excellent with one exception. The lobby lounge service is hit or miss especially when they get busy or at the end of the night before closing .
The lounge is frequently out of certain wines on the extensive wine list . Instead of noting this on the menu , they ask you to keep choosing until they check the wine cellar and find one in stock . Process is time consuming since cellar is in another location apparently.
Hope the food and beverage manager sees this review.
Otherwise a great property and top shelf location .

Shangri la never fails… the minute u’re in their driveway.. you are greeted by very friendly staff.. security did a very good job making us feel safe yet not intimidated. We arrived a bit early (1130) because our flight was early and yet. The Front Pffice Manager.. Nardito Borondia… made sure that we are comfortable and able to check usin and accomodate our request for adjoining room! He made sure everything is in order before he left is to hands of the staff in Horizon lounge. It’s nice to know that after our 1st day.. everybody in circles knows us!!! The hotel is also near to Landmark, Greenbelt so shopping is no problem…. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is beautiful and exquisite. The rooms are also beautiful and unique since they are not square. The decor is so relaxing. The place even smells good. The staff is so friendly and fast to take care of all your needs. The location is ideal too. There is a Hard Rock across the street. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff is amazing here and they go above and beyond. I had an incident which stepped on a rusty clothes hanger in the street on the way back to the hotel and the police contacted the staff here (Esmeralda) and they responded right away sending their RN and having their EMS take me to the local hospital(5mins away). Their chefs also made us a special departing treat when they were notified in convo that we were leaving (Dom and Rizki). Amazing!! Rooms are spacious and kept clean with everything you’ll need including water, robe, slippers etc. pool and workout area were clean and well kept. The food at this hotel is amazing with lots of different options. This hotel is worth every dollar spent. Oh and their spa is sooooo relaxing and their masseuse are excellent.

Absolutely beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful area of Makati. It was convenient to all the restaurants and shops. We were greeted with security before our driver entered and you have to go through luggage check and security but we didn’t mind. The staff is friendly and respectful. Their service was excellent and they communicated with me before our stay so their service is above and beyond. The executive rooms that we booked were spacious, beautiful views and was greeted with a birthday macron upon arrival to room. This was our favorite spa and the pool was so nice to hang out in. Very happy with our stay because the staff caters to you and wish we could have stayed longer.

Carpet inside room was filthy. Booked thru Expedia so not sure if they give the janky rooms to third party reservations. Room smelled like varnish. Asked for a different soon since we’re traveling with an infant and the front desk was very apologetic and changed our rooms. 2nd room carpet was bad as well, but better. Hotel is dated and old. Not worth going back there.

My husband and I were treated very warmly by the staff at the Makati Shangri-la and appreciated their hospitality and lovely treats prepared in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Our room was extremely comfortable and the design quite beautiful. The afternoon tea was enjoyable as well as the abundant breakfast buffet. We did find the sorbets too sweet, however, and would suggest that the sugar content be lessened. Also, homemade yogurt would be a better and healthier option at breakfast rather than the store-bought yogurts. Nevertheless, we loved our overall experience and plan to return again.
